Always wanted a true mobile base for my figures. Great work my dude!
Thanks a ton! I finally feel like I have the skills to do the idea some Justice.
I really like this, it feels like a GI Joe universe scaled down version of the various Juggernauts from Star Wars. I could see one of these operating as a mobile base/communications center, escorted by a small fleet of VAMPS and a handful of MOBATs. Snakes would never know what hit them.
Oooh I like your thinking! It'd really give a force a lot of flexibility. I should have mentioned how I love the MCC but it's just SO big. I'll probably make the attachments removeable so it can be adapted to different environments and tasks. Thanks for watching.
Can't wait to see the finished product! Your stuff is always great man. keep it up!
Thanks! I’m glad to hear you’re digging it.
Very cool.
Gives me some vibes of the Joe crawler from Captives of Cobra that they used to transport the explosive crystals.
Yeah that’d be a fun one to make. Needs more wheels! Thanks for watching.
The mobile command was awesome , I can't wait to see the finished product. And the dog with the gas mask was a great touch !
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!
Ditto on all comments.
Like the "behind the scenes" feel of this vid.
Agree w/ your " bigger than APC but smaller than MC" take. Hasbro didn't do that. Your modularity feels right, too. Explorer, Combat, Construction vehicle all could be made from this chassis.
Form given reason always works best.
Cheers!

Thanks so much. Glad you like where it's going.
What an awesome idea! Great vehicle design and execution……I look forward to seeing the finished product.
Thanks Ben I'm glad you're digging it and thanks for watching.
Love this design, and it was great to see your process, using cardboard and plastic containers to refine the design. Can't wait to see the finished version!
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it.
no suprise this video is awesome. All of yours are!
Thanks so much and thanks for watching the video.
Thank you for giving me ideas for my own GI Joe projects 👍
You are so welcome! I love thinking that I've inspired someone else. Thanks for watching.
Man this is a great build, can’t wait to see the final form!
You and me both! Thanks so much 👍
Thats awesome, it really looks like something from gi joe! Can't wait to see it finished.
Thanks Beach. I really appreciate that.
Awesome design 👏🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
That is very , very creative. Good work
Cool, thanks Christopher. So far it's been a fun project.
Phenomenal build dude
Thanks so much. Glad you dig it.
Maybe this is what Star Brigade needed. A mobile space station. Kinda feels like the Defiant was released a bit too early in the original line.
A Gi joe space station would be cool. Like the Thunderbirds ha.
Or the rig from the first comic appearance of Oktober Guard.
😎👍
Thanks, Terry!
AWESOME
Thank you! Cheers!
12:05 Getting over hoes is never easy mate... I feel ya.
No you didn't. Did you really write that? 😮
I disagree with you, I _do_ like those front windows, the angle of the frame of the cockpit corrects vulnerability. They need an eerie tint of some sort, though. Don't ask me why, but I see them as prescription bottle yellow-orange, but of course, not shaped.
Don't get me wrong. I like them too. And they're functional. Military ships angle their windows down to reduce glare. And the slope increases the armor value relative to a projectile coming head on. But it's still glass or something weaker than armor. Maybe I'll rig up some plates that can be lowered? And color wise are you thinking like Oakley sunglasses type look? Thanks for watching.
I thought you would be replacing the wheels for bigger ones, but amazing build regardless!! =)
You're right. I just ordered a huge set of wheels from Aliexpress. Thanks for mentioning it. Bigger wheels would help the proportions I think. I might try 3d printing my own wheels as well. I've never done it but this'd be a great time to try. Thanks for watching.
Awesome content! what software do you use to model the pieces you create? When you model, do you have any issues with the scale and the printer?
Thank you. I use mostly shapr3d because I can use it on my iPad while on the couch with the family. I work in millimeters so the scale is a perfect match with what I print. I hate inches and fractions 😁
One mobile base vehicle I fondly remember was Bornfree from the film Return of the Dinosaurs. This was really an abridged film version of the four episodes of a late 70s Japanese Gerry Anderson style tv show called Dinosaurs Catchers Bornfree. That if your familiar with Gerry Anderson, you would guess right was composed of would be composed of model miniature's. But instead of puppets or live actors, the human characters were cell animated against live backgrounds.
The plot though was a comet passes by Earth, causing mass earthquakes that sees the emergence of prehistoric jungles and Dinosaurs. An organisation is established where a team aboard a mobile base vehicle called Bornfree are deployed to whether a Dinosaur is sighted. So they may capture and relocate it to safe haven.
link to the film below if you are curious.

Word of warning, its not the bad Dinosaur effects you need to be aware of. Its the horrendous dub acting.
I had no idea what you were talking about until I watched the video. I've seen that vehicle! And almost bought one years and years ago. I had no idea what it was but I just loved the design. My love of the mobile base. What a cool vehicle and show. I love the old thunderbirds vehicles. Thanks for sharing that video and information.
@@ActionRobotPunch Here is the full series if your interested. There was another series done in a similar way. I'll try to find it again.

Wasn't the General, the vehicle from GI Joe: Renegades, the 87 mobile fort, the Defiant Lauch Complex, and the live action PITT ALL mobile bases? I just don't get why you are making a new one instead of converting one of those. And the Renegades one was relatively small for a base. And Star Wars had the Juggernaut.
I just want to make my own. I like designing and making things and this is something I've thought about a lot over the years. All the toys you mentioned are cool but I really want to start from the ground up and not have to compromise anything because of someone else's design decisions. Thanks for watching.
@ActionRobotPunch K. Was just confused is all. I wasn't sure if you was making a GI Joe or a Star Wars toy.
@@dubuyajay9964 I want to keep it generic. Not Star Wars, Gi Joe or anything. I forgot to mention in the video that I bought a cool Joy Toy figure that came with that dog in the gas mask. Something from the Road Warrior or similar. I'm thinking I'll make a team of randoms from any toy line to be the crew. More of an Acid Rain World look.
@@ActionRobotPunch You ever saw "Damnation Alley?"
You've had some Industrial Design training, haven't you?
Curious why you say that. My background is actually in architecture but I do love Syd Mead and I have all the Star Wars sketch books :) Is it my sketching style? Thanks for watching.
@@ActionRobotPunch Yes, your sketch style is very professional 👍
Will you be my dad? I am very adoptable
Haha. Sorry, I have too many kids already. Thanks for watching.
