You are immensely talented and creative. Hasbro should be knocking on your door. Thank you for keeping 3 3/4 inch G.I. Joe alive. Yo Joe!
Thanks that’s cool of you to say. I just love making this stuff 😁
Holy cow you've outdone yourself, this is absolutely amazing!! You totally nailed the feel of an original Joe toy. Very inspiring.
Thank you Stephanie. That’s really appreciated.
Now to extend the track through a bigger playable area! Incoming rattlers down the hallway trying to bomb the train!
Brilliant work!
You read my mind! I want to use the entire basement and pull out all the vehicles. Should be epic and fun.
Wow man thats incredible!!! I would've have loved to have this as a kid and now as an adult!!!!!
Thanks so much. Yeah this’d been fun for sure. Imagine setting it up in the yard 😁
This is inspired! Brilliant work and a wonderful homage to both the old Hasbro prototype and the look and feel of the original ARAH line itself. The Millennium Falcon dish is an especially nice touch. I look forward to seeing additional cars added should you decide to do so. Thanks for sharing this incredible creation.
Thank you! I’m pretty sure there’ll be some more cars coming 😁
More than cars would be Cool ....
This is sooo fun! Well done. Pleeeease make a faux commercial video of this… can’t wait to see action films of this! Dreadnoks must be salivating to do some train jacking and railroad sabotage !
Glad you dig it 😁 A video in the style of the Mean Green Mauler is high on the list! And then some awesome mad max dreadnoks cobra train robbery action! And thanks again for the armadillo. I think it likes it’s train car 👍
Simply amazing, you keep knocking it out of the park 👏👍
Thanks so much 👍
Man that is badass! I am railroader, railfan and g i joe fan. That is great. I would recommend turning the last car around so the cannon faces to the rear.
I was flip flopping on that very thing! The turret in back gives in more of a 360 view and perfect shot if anyone is pursuing the train. But I like all the guys in the back like that. Kind of makes it easier/more fun to board. Less effective though. I'll try it the other way around next time I set it up. Thanks for watching!
That's incredible! 👏 definitely a toy I would have wanted as a kid (and adult)!! A cobra train would be great as well 👍.
Thanks Beach. Funny, I used beachhead as my stand-in scale figure for almost the entire project 😁
@@ActionRobotPunch I did notice that, it was much appreciated 😁👍
That is so Awesome. and YES. A Skyhawk landing platform is a must. Almost every large playset had a spot for a small aircraft could land.
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely genius. I never thought of a train for my joes
Thanks so much.
That is a MASTERPIECE. Also, I love that Sgt. Slaughter and "Refrigerator" Perry are part of your collection.
Thanks. I love the mail away guys. They’re just so fun.
@@ActionRobotPunch I mean, GI Joe recruited from the NFL, professional wrestling and ninja-clans. I love that kind of "throw it at the wall and see if it sticks" silliness.
I was literally jumping up and down while watching your progress.
LOL that's great. Thanks.
Turned out really great! Fantastic job! Trent is a good friend of mine. I remember Kirk Bozigian from Hasbro saying the reason they didn't do the train was because of budget issues. It was either the train or the cobra terrordrome.
Cool. Trent really helped me get rolling on this project 👍 Thanks for the info! To bad about the budget cuts. That set would have been so fun.
Ouch, I'm torn. I don't own a Terrordrome, but I wanted one. But if the choice at the time of production was either/or, I'd still want both!
This looks great! I would add the car from the original train with the three "flammable" containers. Just paint them up. Put some "top secret" stickers on them and they could be holding the mass device elements.
I love that idea. I’m thinking I’ll make a “treasure car” that can be fitted with a vault, vip cab, 3 containers for mass device etc. This has me excited to get back to work 😁
Coolest thing ever!!! I can't wait to see more videos with this beauty in action!
Thanks Drake. Videos definitely coming. I just wish I could leave it set up all the time 😁
If this had been a product when I was a kid it would have been at the top of my wishlist. Back then it didn't even occur to me that GI Joe and trains were two things that could go together, but seeing this is like a match made in heaven.
Glad you like it. And thanks for watching.
A really cool project. Turned out amazing!
Thanks man! I love your channel, btw. You've inspired me many times to just go for it and try fixing things. Recently repaired a DnD figure after watching your video. Anyways, thanks for watching and glad to hear that you like the train :)
Very creative conversion job. I'm always gobsmacked by the alchemy of 3D printing. Top shelf enterprise.
Bill
Thanks so much, Bill.
This is the most wonderful, wholesome thing I've ever seen 😍
Thank you so much. I'm truly glad that you enjoyed it.
AMAZING work! This is the best custom electronic Joe vehicle I've seen! AND it's the best custom train set as well! I can imagine a kid in the '80s opening this bad boy up on Christmas morning! I'm sharing this on my page if it's cool with you! YO JOE!🤜💥🤛
Wow, thanks! I really appreciate that and of course you can share it. Thanks for checking it out.
this is absolutely incredible. well done sir!!
Thank you, Dean 👍
This is the best unreleased concept come to life!
Thanks so much.
I’ve had these same dreams thanks for the inspiration and ingenuity to show us the way! 😂
Thanks for watching!
Are you looking to adopt?
Seriously this is really impressive. When you first started I really wasn't loving the scale and thought it looked silly but seeing it all done it definitely works. Sure it is hilariously undersized but it is a toy and toys are usually undersized and out of scale. I could see this as being an on base logistical transport moving equipment and munitions from place to place as needed and helping the armoury keeping everything ready. It would be cool to have this in a diorama surrounding the V1 headquarters maybe or in a shipyard being support to resupply the FLAGG. I know you have kids so you really play with all your toys so permeant dioramas aren't really your thing.
I al really surprised no one has made a FLAGG bridge via 3D printing or even low volume molds in resin and sold them. It seems a good bridge, a sticker set for the deck and instructions on what dimensions to cut a deck out of wood or melamine would sell well. Most of the Flagg is little more than a cheap plastic table that could easily be replicated. I am certain a lot of collectors would happily pay $500 for a semi DIY FLAGG
Hahaha, thanks so much. Yeah I have enough kids. Thanks so much. Toy scale is a funny thing but once you add the figures it kind of makes sense. And it had to fit on my 3d printer. It's funny but my printer size helps make a lot of my decisions.
Flagg parts is a good idea. I think the bridge is just a really big print but I wouldn't be surprised if someone tackled it. Just not me...or not for a while. Thanks for watching!
I would've loved this as a kid! Really nice work, you should be very proud of this.
I really appreciate that.
Love it! ❤
Your set is very convincing and perfectly scaled for enjoyment!
I think the combination of the ideas you had with functionality in mind and the paint with genuine G.I. Joe decals really make this custom set what Hasbro should have had back in the 1980s. Great job!
Thank you so much!
@@ActionRobotPunch Happy Thanksgiving...Yo Joe!!
Very cool. Great work! Thanks for the awesome video!
You’re so welcome. Thanks for watching!
this made me so giddy. such amazing work.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super cool. Would have loved this back in '86/'87. I think the addition of 3 more cars would be awesome! You could unpower the 2nd locomotive and possibly turn it into a secret command center? I could also see the 2nd train as Cobra carrying a Hiss or landing pad for a Fang...the possibilities are endless. Get more track and turnouts and send the 2 trains head to head...
Haha! A Cobra vs Gi Joe game of train chicken. Thanks for watching.
Wow. I’ve wanted a train set for my Joes forever. My favorite comic story was the Yearbook #2 one with the Oktober Guard drawn by Michael Golden with that amazing train battle scene. I’ve been looking at Playmobil trains but they’re so pricey. This looks so great!
Yes! That battle is so fun. I should make a dedicated AA car to fend off rattlers! Thanks for checking this out, Dustin.
Phenomenal work on this one, seeing the ride along camera really sparks the imagination. I think the turret car is my favorite, the proportions of it are just so charming! Can't wait to see what you do next!
Thanks Scott 👍 That’s really appreciated.
Very nice! Would be cool to get like 1000' of track running through the house to the yard and back with lots of Cobra ambushes along the way. Maybe transport the laser core!
Haha! Maybe someday. Thanks for watching.
Great job! I’m would have loved this!
this is an astonishing effort! im happily subscribed in the hopes that you'll make more stuff like this
Awesome and thanks
It is very beautiful, very impressive.
Thanks Mark, I really appreciate it.
Man, I'm so jealous of you, I literally just started back collecting Joes this year, I said I didn't want any vehicles, but I would love to have this train set! AWESOME!!!
Thanks so much. Avoid the vehicles if you can. They take up so much space! But I just love them :)
Dude that is so freaking cool. Very nice job. I really like the details and the care you gave the set.
Thanks William. It's great to hear that. Thanks for watching.
Great work. You should be proud.
Really appreciated Andrew 😁
This train is straight 🔥
Thanks so much!
The cobra will be beaten back to their islands in no time!
Btw It looks amazing dude rock'in job
Haha! Thanks for watching.
I'd add a modified Freight car where you can have some figures battle it out on top or have an entry point for a figure to hide in (like a Firefly).
Yeah, I’m thinking a generic and customizable flat car would be a great addition. Thanks
Great custom... really well made
Thank you so much.
This was very enjoyable to watch. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really awesome job. Very creative. I love your choice of antennas. Thank you for sharing. I am going to have build an remote armadillo now. I am very in awe of your work. I look forward to seeing more.
Awesome. I love the idea that this video inspired you. Thanks for watching.
Great Work of Art. Nice.😊👍
Thank you so much 😀
My friend had that Tyco train set, brought back memories... Yours is much better though😂
So cool you got to play with it as a kid. Thanks for the kind words 👍
Amazing work my friend I wish that train had existed. Yo joe!!!!!
Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.
Very cool combat train 😮😮
Thank you!
When i was a kid i always wanted a to scale train for my figures.
How fun would it have been to get one of these for your birthday? Thanks for watching.
I had that G.I.Joe train, it was pretty terrible haha.
WOW, the controls on that Armadillo look to be smooth. I would have expected it to be real jerky and lurching. Very cool that you can actually drive it up that slick rotating ramp you built.
Getting that Armadillo to run up the ramp was a big success. I was worried I'd have to keep making that ramp longer and longer and longer :) Thanks for watching.
Really awesome! Love the process
Thank you! Cheers!
such an awesome project.
Thank you! Cheers.
Great work as always. You have a good eye for creating
Thanks Christopher, I really appreciate that. It's fun making the stuff we want. No one else is going to do it LOL
@Action Robot Punch true that. I wish I had your video skills. You crush it
Aweeeeeeesoòooome!!!...
The amazing things you could do with a 3D printer...👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼🤝🏼😁
Yeah it's pretty amazing. We live in a fun time for making things. Thanks for watching.
This is so awesome. You're very talented
Thanks so much.
Love it! what a great idea.
Thanks so much.
Still looks awesome!
Thank you 👍
Greetings from Brazil...love it
Hey, thanks!
Nice stuff
Thanks for watching.
Excellent work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you so much 😀
Very impressive!
Thank you!
Congratulations you finished it finally! It’s awesome!!! However I’m sure that you will probably add a front armor piece for clearing the track when enemies try to block it or derail the train.
Thank you Benjamin. An armored cow catcher type item is on the list :)
You’re welcome I always love your videos and your custom designs have inspired me. I figured you probably already we’re working on the cattle catcher however I figured it would not hurt to mention it.
This is incredible!
Thanks so much.
love it all
Hasbro missed out on that train set. I would have bought both a Joe and Cobra version as would my lil brother. Kids loved trains back then big time. I can't speak for kids today, cause my son is now 27, wow, where does time go? But he loved trains and I and my brother did as well. It would been great in a MadMax sort way. Hell, even Drednoks could have gotten their own train and it would have fit. You could have had an engine and cars for every single faction/team! And we would have bought all of them too!
Yeah, if they’d kept releasing different cars for the various factions that could have been brilliant. Thanks for watching.
Yo Freakin Joe! Excellent train my friend
Thanks Xayzl! I can’t wait to video sarge tossing some cobra off the train 😁
Fantastic! Great work😮
Thank you so much.
Looks great!
Thank you.
Mad crazy cool 😎👍Awesome!
Haha, thank you! It's such a blast to see it rolling around on the track in my basement. I need to make a battle movie with it. Thanks for watching.
One of my friends had that original GI-Joe set. Really cool and I remember how strange it was too. I remember that the soldiers that came with it were just regular green army men and I was expecting some Cobra troops too! So disappointed.
Thanks for sharing. Yeah the disappointment was real. Thanks for watching.
Dude!! That is awesome!!!
Thanks so much Mat 👍
Super freaking cool
Thank you!
Simply awesome, buy another train set and make a G.I. Super train :)
Dude, do you think I'd only buy one set? Hahaha. Yeah I have a second set that I'll probably start dipping into soon. Thanks for watching!
Wow this is awesome ❤❤❤
Thank you so much. 👍
Really cool!!!!!
Thanks so much.
That is SO cool
Thanks so much 👍
Very nice
Thanks William.
Looks boss!
Thank you
This video has way too few likes, great job!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much.
now you need a cobra privet jet for cool jet shoot outs or have operations like the mile high club mission in cod 4
That would be cool. Something for Tomax and Xamot to fly around in :)
@@ActionRobotPunch yeah because theres no way cobra commander or destro would settle for a train plus the fun of trying to hide that it is a cobra plane on the outside
Need to design and customize a GI Joe whose M.O. and Primary Military Specialty is Railroad Engineer, devise a codename, and write up a filecard for him. (Not making a demand, its just where I usually work my own expertise, lol)
By the way, I really like your work. And by that, I also mean your vehicle/playset deserves an original character, to be 'sold' with it. Edit: I posted this before I read the comments on the page of the other video! My bad!
Yeah I need to make a custom engineer at some point. Too many projects. Thanks for watching.
Really cool man !!
Thanks Gi Dad!
When I saw the train in the catalog all those years ago..... this design, (your design), is what I imagined it to be.... you made it a reality !!!
Maybe even a little better too !!!
Yo Joe!
@@gidad7213 Thanks. That's pretty much what you and I are doing right? You took the flagg to the next level and now you're making that amazing cobra plane that we could only dream of. With this train I also imagined my figures on it, but until now we just had to imagine it. Thanks again, I really appreciate the kind words.
I took a break from the Cobra headed plane. Still going to finish it !! Just a little burnt out. Took on a new project as a breath of fresh air. Actually been planning for it for some time now. Ordering stuff. I'll be painting it and installing the electronics soon. Can't tell you what it is just yet but I think all true fans will like it. Another of the never been made items.
Yo Joe!
So cool 😎
Thank you so much.
@@ActionRobotPunch you did an amazing job, it's like it's fresh off the shelf form a shop......GGs
Great work! Have looked into whether the SLAM was ever intended to be a rail car? It has wheels that look like train wheels
Thanks and I have no idea. I have one but it seems small to be a train. It also has those stabilizer legs. I should go see if it just happens to be compatible with this track. Wouldn't that be cool?
Ah...I was going to say, "IIRC, didn't they actually *make* a GI Joe train set back in the day, because I remember having one", but you addressed that at the start of your video.
Yeah fun to go back and look at what almost was. Thanks for watching.
Dude, this rules.
Thank you!
I really really like it but me i would’ve made the engine a little bit more to scale but other then that it’s amazing 👍👍👍
Thanks so much!
Reminds me of the train set for Zero Hour.
What’s that a reference too? Sounds like some cool ref.
@@ActionRobotPunch Zero Hour was a toy line of the British toy company Blue Bird. Best known for producing Polly Pocket, Mighty Max, and other forgotten ones like Manta Force and Hero Gladiator.
They were purchased by Mattel, and so far Polly Pocket is the only line they continue to produce.
The Zero Hour one was a military themed line, like GI Joe, where a military force combats a terrorist one called the Bad Brigade.
One difference though was all the mini figures were newly sculpted mini versions of the old green plastic army men.
There isnt much available on UA-cam regarding the line.

ua-cam.com/video/OaPSABhg8v4/v-deo.html
@@georgeowain Wow that's amazing! I've never seen that before. Those look like a lot of fun. I love the scale with the Giant vehicles. I reminds me of the Kenner line called Mega Force. I wonder is Kenner was inspired by this? I think you've sent me down a rabbit hole on this one LOL And I do see the monorail/train. Very cool. Thanks for sharing this cool info!
Still looks very undersized for the joes but still cool
Thanks for watching!
Unrelated, but i noticed someone's making a new model of that canned joe train, noticed orders for the STL's pop up a few days ago on Facebook, unfortunaty i dont have the link
Yeah I did more my own take on what I'd want out of a train playset. Thanks for watching.
😎👍
Thanks Terry 👍
Would you consider making the same setup for sale just the train?
Just the train with no tracks or without the figures? I'd have to charge a lot because I don't think I'd ever make another one of these. Probably just sell the original one.
Yo joe
😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yo Joe :)
Oh hey.... if you build a Cobra train perhaps the little transport cars from the pyramid of darkness. You know like when snake eyes and shipwreck were escaping and the Cobra troopers chased them with the cool cobra headed railcar.... just a thought. Did you get the Super7 Gijoe set of them?
If you ever want to make a trip over you can come and check out the F.L.A.G.G. Dying to show someone in person. No fans around here.
G.I Dad
Cool idea. I'm going to have more train cars than I do regular Joe vehicles :)
Actually I hoping you would make a video of it. My skills are not so good. You could make it a family vacation. There's cabin rentals and resorts all over our area.
Too weird?? If not you can get my email from Chris. Later dude.
Hey, I'm planning on to custom paint 2 Star wars starfighter (from power of the force A-Wing and Mission fleet N-1 starfighter) Do they really need priming If im using Tamiya spray paint? or Could I just spray paint it directly?
I never use primer. Maybe if the color of the ship varies a lot, you can use a cheaper primer to even out the color to a grey, then your expensive tamiya paint will all look the same and you won’t waste it trying to cover underlying colors. But I would make sure to clean with soap and water. Before that remove any stickers and use goo gone to remove residue. If there are thick paint areas you might need to sand those down. I’ve learned the hard that it’s true that prep work makes the painting easy but I’m impatient 😁 But tamiya paint is really good. Do a test shot on a small area on the bottoms or something. See how it takes. Fwiw I use cheaper Krylon paint because it’s tough and bonds really well and is cheap. But tamiya has the best color and quality for detail. Good luck with the project!
@@ActionRobotPunch Thank you for such a detailed reply!! I'll give an update when im done lol. really excited with the Mission fleet N-1 Starfighter because i was able to mod it to fit a 1/25 joytoy figure and it looks cool!
Have you seen the train I'm designing?
Recreating the Hasbro train is a fun idea for sure. I'm sure it'll come out great and thanks for watching the video!
You "hope" to see me as a viewer of future videos? Are you kidding? You just built a figure compatible train, 3D printed unique components, and added electrical. Then let us view "riding the train" with Gung-Ho. Yeah. I'll be here for your future videos! Question: can you recommend any courses, videos, or other instructional materials for beginners to learn about wiring circuits, modelling in CAD, and 3D printing? Or any other engineering concepts that you know? You must be an engineer IRL. This video could be used in schools to get kids interested in STEM.
Wow thanks so much. I’m not an engineer but did study architecture so I had some design and engineering training. I’d recommend some of the great videos on UA-cam. All the electrical and 3d printing stuff I know is self taught. Then it’s just jumping in and giving it a try. Thanks so much for the great comment. It really makes putting out these videos enjoyable.
We de it
You chose Lionel, you chose well good sir :) Heres a history lesson for you regarding toy trains ua-cam.com/video/t4L6OPvLZsI/v-deo.html
Wow, what a beautiful set. Thanks for sharing.
