Review: Veritas CardScraper Holder

Today I have for you a quick review and demo of the Veritas Card Scraper Holder.
Pretty good tool. It really does save your thumbs, as well as maintaining a constant curve in the card.

Great video! Thanks for posting. I've always wondered if these were worth the money. By any chance do you use the Veritas Variable Burnisher to put the hook on your scraper? If you do, would you mind doing a video similar to this one?

Thank you for your presentation of the holder.
It seems to work quit poorly. Do you get better results with the card alone?
The question is, is it the card or the holder preventing to work properly?
My thumbs don't like it too, but I get much better results with my card alone.

hmm. Perhaps I didn’t explain what I was showing well enough. It works just fine, and definitely saves the thumbs. It also allows you to use the card more freely, because you don’t need to maintain tension with your hands. One can press harder and take much larger shavings, here it is my bench top, I only want to show how to use it, not how well I sharpened the card.
I appreciate the comment, and going forward, I will make sure it is clear what it is I’m demonstrating.
