The dialog between Tony and Artie is so realistic. This has happened to many of us. As a Chef after you become known it goes to your head, it is intoxicating And it will happen more than once having an ego is a necessity for chefs its controlling it that is hard. And it takes someone to humble you and remind you why is it you do what you do. I actually just had another chef pull me aside and tell me to snap out of it recently.
@@brandonmitchell4046 it has happened to every single successful chef I know. We used to say a Chef lives a rockstar's life and its true, especially for us old schoolers. But it does go to your head. And you sometimes need that person to give you a reality check. And our personal lives are cursed. Almost every single culinarian this is not just chefs have relationship troubles. And almost all end up divorced. Becuase it is hard to except that food is our first love. The Kitchen comes first and many people that are not in the business can't handle always being second in our hearts. The only thing some of us put before the kitchen is our kids, and that is only for some of us. I know many master chefs and world renowned chefs that their kids hate them in real life. Because some choose the kitchen even over their children.
I think in the end Silvio, Artie, and Johnny sack were the only people Tony would listen to without a huge facade of bs. Also uncle June sometimes but their relationship is obviously rocky.
I Agree with you, I enjoy these episodes that spent time with these side characters too, there FUN stand alone episodes to me, and YES that was David Chase on the Plane
An Italian friend told me the guy who works for Jesery and translates speaks with a northern and southern accent. It throws the two Italians off cause they ain't heard anything like it before.
Hey everyone. after 👀 Elie's Sopranos reactions you need to do yourselves a favor and watch his Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul reactions... already up there on youtube.💯💥👍👍👍
Me with pretty much every episode. Even my least favorite I'll rewatch and enjoy. Specifically moreso now after Elie's reactions. Picked up on stuff I never got
Phil: We'll chalk it up to the headless horseman. Ichabod Crane was in the Legend of Sleepy Hallow....also Tony B's nickname, the man who whacked Phil's brother.
Chris & his goon pressing Ben Kingsley over the free schwag is fucking hilarious, bro not used to that kind of pressure like get me out this elevator NOW!! They are so ruthless in this show, especially towards the women but damn, she ate that punch & they were so nice to her before! 👊🏽😩😂 I love Artie but ugh, he’s so cringe, thank God he has Tony & Charmaine at least trying to keep him in check but Artie just HAD to keep pressing, he more than deserved his hand in that sauce but I still somehow feel a little bad for the guy lmao 😩😂
Artie tried to be like Tony. He tried to womanize, it didn't work out, he tried to be a loan shark, didn't work out, he tried to be a tough guy, took it too far, he lost a layer of skin for his troubles. I love that last scene of Artie cooking. He's rediscovering his true passion and the man he lost trying to emulate a criminal.
My opinion has always been, if this show were the real world, by todays day, 2024, I truly believe Benny Fazzio would be the boss of the family or at least the number 2.
I always respected Little Carmine asking Christopher if its alright if he hits the bar to decompress.
Dude was a legit pretty decent guy as far as the mob crowd goes.
Very allegorical.
Knowing who Ben Kingsley is makes this ep 10x funnier. Same for Bacall 😂😂😂 glad you enjoyed it.
Ben Kingsley “fuuuck” on the plane is hilarious

Interesting insight, I didn’t know that was a problem the chef world.

"The Mayor of Munchkinland." One of my favorite nicknames in the show along with Jackie Junior's "Little Lord Fuckpants."
Wine makes Phil emotional. He's hilarious.

Phil’s outbursts are absolutely hilarious on rewatch like 1:30. Frank Vincent is literal perfection in the role.

My god man… you must watch/edit 24/7!
Personally I think Elie has an Aboriginal or Southeast Asian kid chained to an editing PC
I always assumed the sniper comment was a reference to the Washington dc sniper attacks around the same time
Or the sniper from Test Dream creeping back in.🤔

"Law and Order the SUV" lmfao
I've seen it 1000 times and I didn't notice that David appears on the plane in this episode... I know he appears in season 1

I forgot Rusty was played by Frankie Valli
Lauren Bacall was married to Humphry Bogart from Casablanca
Technically Season 6 is two seasons. theres a break halfway through. Some of the cast considered the last season, Season 7.

I would love to have had a spin-off called "Melfi and Artie". 😁
Law And Order The S.U.V.
Yeah expensive and USD. But gotta imagine the coke is top notch and worth most of that price
