One of best Revit tutorials to be found anywhere...however I owuld have like to have seen this tutorial on custom floors using the wooden floor with the diamond pattern example in your video thumbnail...its far more aesthetically appealing and likely to be used and or requested by a client rather than the one you used....
Keep up the good work. This has been the BEST UA-cam CHANNEL EVER!!!!! For those who weren't able to see the pattern on Plan view. Type VR- for View Range, select Unlimited on Level, then under Properties go where it say Parts Visibility and select Show Parts. You should see the pattern created. :)
What to do to see that pattern in plan view? ... I found it, for everyone wondering...When you are on the Floor view, on the Properties window click Parts Visibility's list (above Visibility/Graphics Overrides) and select Show Parts
Thank you for your videos! One thing u can add is a little more explanation of the key command of the video, in this case the one about the layer separation.
Is there any other way you can make it parametric? coz if we talking about larger scale don't think to select those floor/panel/tile one by one will be effective. but great video thanks a lot !!
Hey Balkan, I really like your videos. But i miss some of your old videos like (Getting Started With Revit Architecture Timelapse Tutorial) Can you pleas make more like this videos for future. Thank you and have a nice day :-)
thanks, Balkan, but what if i need to deal with big area, it is really difficult to divide all floor, do you have any quick way to deal with large space?
Thank you for great tutorials its good to know its possible in Revit but now I'm wondering if it's it possible to make it more advanced? Making a custom pattern that can be applied to large floors could be one thing, maybe by creating a family?. Controlling the material of each type elements from properties panel same with some parameters for the side? Could you use something like divide surface in massing to create floor tiles? Thanks!
How do you show the grout lines between tiles after rendering? I can see the lines bewteen each tile on the floor in the wireframe mode but not in the rendering.
Hi can anyone help me. I got this whole thing done changed the random tiles i wanted with different materials but when i am exporting to d5 render the floor is one single material slab the parts are not there.
I was really good at creating my pattern in the plan, but I now have to change my boundary and find the edit boundry has left the options. How do I get this boundry back?
thanks for the useful tutorials. I faced a problem in creating tile on camera view. it appears as what I did in the 3D view but when I go to render in camera view it shows only the original pattern :-(. is there any remedy??
One question: divide the soil into parts, then it can be put back together into a single soil? he tried to unite it with 'Merge parts' but he does not allow it
