Great tutorial! However I am having a bit of an issue. I am using Revit 2022, maybe they changed something? The problem I am having is that when I open the "Edit Type" there is no "Constraint Parameter" which means there is also no "Offset". Am I just doing something wrong? I do not really see what it could be, but obviously something is going on. Is it possible that I have a setting misconfigured somewhere? Help figuring this out would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
This system is superb for a grid tile system. Is it possible to place the tiles in an uneven way using this system, let's say each row of 60x30 tiles displaced by 1/3rd?
Hello, partner! I recently watched a video you posted on UA-cam four years ago about using curtain walls for tile planning. Following your method, I was able to successfully create a design and perform quantity calculations. However, I encountered difficulties when dealing with the issue of 1/2 and 1/3 brick patterns. In Revit, while setting up a curtain wall, I noticed that the library provides curtain panel forms such as "1/2 Step Surface" and "1/3 Step." However, after importing these into my project, I found that these options could not be directly applied to curtain wall panels. I attempted some adjustments, but I still couldn't successfully utilize these panel types. My goal is to achieve a staggered pattern for the curtain wall gridlines, as shown in the example below. What I’d like to understand: Why can’t these specific curtain panel types be directly selected on the curtain wall? Could this issue be related to the curtain wall's grid settings, panel type, or other configurations in Revit? If these special panel types are necessary, how should I correctly set up or adjust the relevant configurations in Revit? I’d appreciate specific suggestions or step-by-step guidance to resolve this issue. Thank you!
Thanks for a creative solution! However it's a lot of steps just for creating tiles.... I will only try it when I have time to burn during the project or required to calculate the quantity. I will just put the texture on, then use the real-time rendering software for realistic look if I need to.
dont use curtain panel as a starting point as when while tagging it returns tiles as a curtain panel, so create a tile family with curtain panel level configurations and then address
