I'd often wondered why watches can be so Expensive. Now i understand , what craftsmanship.

No you are still paying for the brand
It takes no more than 10k to produce it and they sell it for 100k

@@qaching R&D and material research required for production. Details such as design, processing and assembly are already carried out by praying to God.

I really wish there was a list of parts for this online with a list of steps the watchmakers took to build it, this is my dream watch and I would love to make it myself, because I would have a true sense of accomplishment (also it would be less expensive for me if I built it myself lol)

Imagine him dropping a tiny piece in the little cracks of the watch, he would have to reset but this dude was the best person! I am guaranteed he gets paid 100k-500k for doing this as a living putting them together hand made!

IMO there are only two kings of the the watch world. If you want a strong, indestructible, robust and reliable steel sports watch that can survive the deepest oceans and highest mountains, than Rolex is king. If you want an ultra-fine, artisan hand-crafted dress watch with supremely fine detail and a long, rich heritage to boot, than only Patek-Philippe will fit-the-bill.

I m commenting in the hope that some one from Patek will read it or convey them. First of with due apology to all engineers at Patek company. I m very small to comment this but its out of my respect for mech watchmaking. This watch is an undisputed holy grail of mechanical watches. However, That stamped printing of markers looks cheap and primitive. Make it more pronouced like each digit may be individually prepared from black ceramic or so and then infused into dial.

Your correct I agree and so does Patek they SELECT it's buyers. Ferrari does the same with some cars.I knew a Farrari owner who used to have to contact Farrari to ASK if he could have the car and take it out !!! Sometimes they would agree. Sometimes not. I think this is brilliant and maintains the true genuine value at the heart of these products that for some people with more money then sence can be grossly devalued and damage the respect of the brand. These item are a celebration not a flex item like you rightly say.

Not to me. Not at any price. This huge “wristwatch” drips with vulgarity. Much prefer a simple hand wound PP strap watch with an ultrathin movement, which by the way is what the actual watchmakers prefer to own and wear personally.😮😊😊

You wrote "$11,000", which is Eleven Thousand Dollars. That is very cheap for a high end watch. I've just done a quick search and the Graff Diamonds Hallucination watch, sold for $55 million ($55,000,000) so that's more expensive isn't it.
