Restoration Rusty Cartier Roadster - Wrecked Luxury Watch
- This time I´m restoring a rusty Cartier Roadster from 2003. It´s powered by the Cartier 3110 automatic movement.
The condition some people leave their luxury items in is shocking me sometimes. But see for yourself ;)
I hope you liked this restoration, if so, like, comment and subscribe ;)

In 20 minutes I hardly blinked. Wandering through the UA-cam universe, through all the death, court cases, scandals....I came across this piece of calm, silence and total attention to detail. Amazing work.
That's nice, thanks 😊
Amazing found myself holding my breath as all small parts were placed in situ. Wish you could fix my Cartier santos blooming battery has leaked no one will touch it
I'm a watchmaker on the Cartier line for Richemont NA and do a ton of these everyday. Glad to see a video of a common workhorse movement come across my recommended. Nice resto brother!!! Well done!!
I want one of those black holes to get my parts😂, well done. Beautiful watch.
Is workhorse another name for slapstick ?
@@BobbyDazzler888 I would consider ETA 2000 slapstick personally...775Xs and 289X are like the Chevrolet/Ford work truck of the watch world in my opinion. Nothing special, clearly function over form.
I always wondered about 2 things. I always loved the look of the cabochon or spinel crown. Can I replace it on the roadster.
Also, can the 19 mm stainless steel lugs fit on the 20mm stainless steel bracelet
Probably one of the most elegant watches of all time. A superb restoration, I totally was in awe of your meticulous attention to detail
I would like to add this reaffirms that there are others out there that seek perfectionism like myself
There are hundreds of Watch restoration videos on UA-cam.
I think , your precise tools for each step of your work and the result is fascinating.
There is no magic in your work just craftsmanship, talent and passion.
Please skip that tiny Magicien tricks away.
Your 700.000 followers deserve to see and understand each detail 😊.
Thank you
Outside of the dial being trashed and it being dirty, the movement was surprisingly not trashed. Quite a lovely watch!
I was thinking the movement would be much larger but when you opened the case back, it was surprisingly small. It sometimes baffles me how people are able to work on movements that small good work bro.
Thanks buddy, wait for the next project if you want to see a really tiny movement 👀😁

This is huge compared to other movments my coworker is still looking for a Piaget gear that got lost a week ago from a ladies bracelet watch.
I own a 2510 W62004V3 and have been looking for a repair video for years. Finally. This watch is so underrated. Could sleep comfortably now
love the new micro detail footage of the mechanisms focused beneath the jewels. and the shot of the pallet fork working away!
One of the most beautiful watches I've ever seen in my life
Man, you’re the best at this. And your videos are so relaxing to watch. Attention to detail is top notch. My respects and admiration to your work.
Yeah but the question is: what made the watch stop working?
It's a bit like his other watch restoration video where he took the seals out but didn't put any back in? Lol
Always makes me smile the way yo bring them great watches back to life. True masterclass
Great photography, editing, and choice of projects. I love watching you work. It relaxes me............ Cartier, is just a class instrument with impeccable heritage.
This is a work of art. Bravo. So clean and elegant.
easy peasy - when you have a schematic...
but when you don't have one - marvelous work !
many years ago i worked with ship diesel generators. whenever we overhauled one, we had a handfull of leftover screws and bolts...
Outstanding workmanship. I am amazed that you not only resurrect the watch, I am even more amazed that you put it back together again.
The detail of the word Cartier on letter V is amazing... Congratulations... awesome restoration.
At first I thought the lack of narrative would bother me but soon I found out that the pace of your video and the overall craftsmanship and tranquility you portray is soothing to my soul. Thank you dear fellow. And all the best to you.
Great job 👍 as usual! Its a beautiful watch and i still find it hard to believe that a person can put all those little parts back again.
Strang thing happen to me yesterday when i checked on your page. I thought i missed your new videos since i have not seen any since that last restoration of the diver's watch. Lo and behold! YOu posted it today.. thank you! It is mesmerizing to watch you restore these lovely precision watches.
Thanks 😁
Another wonderful restoration of a beautiful piece. A rather smaller movement but you restored it to to spec, including new dial and hands. What a great looking movement and watch. Excellent workmanship. Kudos..!!
The watch repair video is truly remarkable, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and transforming the watch into a genuine work of art 😲
Simply the best craftsmanship. Every time you’ve haven’t failed us keep videos and timepieces coming. Soothing to my soul sir💸🥂
Exquisite craftsmanship from Cartier, and incredible artisanship from you - such a combination!
Can't beleive it's the same watch. Pure professional work.
Love your editing - very snappy and to the point! I don't get some of the scratches on the case - almost look deliberate, rather than random wear and tear?
Brilliant craftsmanship though!
My friend I’m watching your videos for quiet some time now and it’s nice to see how you improved them and constantly trying out new things.
You are an artist and I hope to see more.
Thank you and greetings from Germany.
Thanks 😊
bro your work is more difficult than a surgeon. You have been creative, as usual, in bringing this watch back to life
Thanks 😊
You are really an excellent master at your craft! Beautiful restoration of a good looking watch. Wonderful, totally mesmerizing to watch! Thanks!
Yeah but what made the watch stop working?
Most watch restorers show what made the watch stop; He showed nothing lol
You sir, are a magician!
😊 Thanks mate 👍
You did this piece a great honour. Well done.
Utterly fascinating to watch a craftsman at work 👏👏.
Hello my friend, long time without saying hello, I was on a trip to Europe and now I'm back in my country.
Your work is incredibly great, it's poetic and you're a great artist.
Thousand congratulations.
Don't forget to show the case and bracelet restoration too! Love your work!
The perfect video for the weekend. Those zeros are sign of the perfection
Excellent work! And excellent video editing! You showed how it is done, without wasting time. Thank you!
So, Adeptus Mechanicus restorated watches, well, ok. Awesome work, so tiny mechanism!
Beautiful work! I can't imagine how the watch was in that bad shape in the first place. People use these should take care of it always..
I've thought about doing this be more than likely I'd loose half the parts and forget where the rest went LOL
Looks great and you did an amazing job restoring it also!!
I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Most beautiful watch I've ever seen in my life😌😥
Awesome sauce! Your watch repair videos are some of my favorite!
This deserves more views. Fascinating work!
Magic...especially reaching through that ring of fire to retrieve the new glass without any burns, Donnerlitchen !
😁
I have got no doubt, you will always be the master. Congratulations for your job Sir!
Felicitaciones!!!👏👏👏
Very nice and those little sci-fi touches are always a treat!
This dude skills are just insane, can’t imagine the years of consistent work and dedication to reach that level. Truly impressive.
As always…
It’s a pleasure to be able to observe your work.
👍👍👍
I admire the work you do. It's a pleasure to watch.⌚
I absolutely love the 2510 Roadster and have one myself. It's so so stylish
Absolutely jaw dropping... You are truly a master! Wow! Now you can sell it for rocket prices!
The attention to detail on restoration is simply a class act. I wonder how such expensive luxury watches even rust? PS: That Flux Capacitor really works.
Always great to see the master at work. Thanks again for another amazing restoration! 👍🏻
Your videos are pieces of art my friend. So relaxing, informative und beautifully executed...
Bravo sir! Your attention to detail, including the videography & music, is second to none! Truly enjoy your Flux Capacitor demo too! One question though...what would you say was your most challenging restoration? Keep the videos coming bro!
Thanks, Still the Sanford I guess 😉
I love Cartier..., it's wonderful how you saved it's life
👏👏👏...Sempre capolavori..restauro, revisione, editing audio video 19 minuti e 48 secondi di spettacolo ...sempre complimenti e saluti dall' Italia...🇮🇹
I reckon the production that goes into the video probably takes longer than the impeccable restoration. Incredible. 👍🇬🇧
It's so touching to watch a watch (😂 bad joke, I know 😁) working again after being so damaged. Oh and the watch is gorgeous 😊.

Sir you are great at doing this I am staring at your watch while you repair it I am also a watch lover I like too much watches I watched all your videos 2 times
Moin, hinter diesen 20Min. stecken bestimmt viiiele Std. Arbeit.
Danke an Sie.
Danke fürs Feedback! 😊
I feel like you did the best videography on this video. Just showing off the parts in detail more and the microphone picking up the micro noises.
An amazingly beautiful watch, happy you could restore it!😊
Excelente trabalho
As I told you many times, you’re a Maestro indeed…why should I have to pay thousand of $ to get an Eta 2892 rebranding Cartier, someone could explane me…just only to show the brand too…incredible…
I believe part of issue is that Cartier uses the oscillating weight as a major component in determining the authenticity of a watch when it comes in for service. I think it is upwards of $1000 to replace one because it can be used to make a very authentic looking fake. I work the Cartier line in the Richemont Technical Center and there are very strict controls on handling and accounting for any parts that have been replaced, but especially oscillating weights and precious metal components.
@@Delta11C1 ok, but it I isn't the matter...I cannot understand WHY I have to spend so much money to get an eta 2892 also if is branded as a Cartier...could you buy a Lambo with a 500 fiat engine?
I think (hope...) nu
@@fulvioplatania3091 All parts must remain true to the reference...Cartier also has a Selitta version of the 2892... I have no idea why...sigh🙄... So for a hypothetical, if I replaced the blued automatic bridge screws on the ETA with the non blued screws of the Selitta, then even though the screws are functionally the same, and perform the same, are literally identical aside from color, they are not reference correct and by doing so I have literally created a reference that doesn't exist. Same goes for the oscillating weight but you then have the added extremely valuable function of the branding combined with the oscillating weight serving as a major component of authentication. So if you take just any other ETA 2892, not Cartier branded, and throw it in a Cartier watch and send it to us for service or repair, we will send it back and politely inform you that your watch is not authentic and we can't work on it. The function that the branding on the weight performs is the reason the cost is so high. Because at this point the oscillating weight has been given more functions. It is a functional part of the automatic system and a brand advertisement as most oscillating weights are but now it is also serves the additional valuable function of identifying the watch as genuine.
I didn’t know Cartier has such a beautiful watch. Thanks for your sharing.
Most entertaining watch repair videos on utube
Metals are more Shinnier than original!!😮😮👍👍❤️❤️

This is pure Art, thank you so much for the videos.
Amazing work, always have been a fan of there design.I own a Tank Francaise and love the design.Bought one for my wife as well, very beautiful and feminine.
I'm sure there was a bit more work went into removing the rost from the dial and hands!?. You did a super job on the watch and I much enjoy watching your process.
What a great work 👍🏽 so satisfying hop we see more vintage watch restoration from u
Thank you for this gorgeous video of a magnificent restoration. I am just wondering how the dial was in such a bad condition while the movement was not. Also, congrats on getting spare parts nowadays.
Movement was protected by dial but dial was exposed because there were no glass at all for god knows how long
Beautiful watch and excellent restoration.
So cool - love the time tunnel effect and all that delicate cleaning work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥and Mr. Death’s face in the background, what a dramatic show superb 💀

Wow, wow, wow, just a beautiful time piece, one anybody would love to own and wear.
I knew it...the Flux Capacitor, through so much use, has opened a dimensional portal in space. Beware. Oh, before we all disappear, great video.
Bro just made a deal with the demons at 7:38 to get a new glass 😂💀
Wunderbare Arbeit. Glückwunsch. Cartier baut unglaublich schöne und sehr solide Uhren. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
Vielen Dank!
