thanks for this - brings back very happy memories - walked this with my dad and best friend over 30 years ago. Looking back we were a bit reckless - total amateurs and no mobile phones in those days. We ended up back at the house on the north side of Aviemore - over 25 miles in total end to end. What a walk !!
I would walk-in from the north [Chalamain] or west [Feshie] but this southern approach is a real beauty! Until 6:00 Quite 'domesticated' paths though. J never broke a bottle carrying them this stubborn 15cents-LIDL-way?? LOL Anyway, a great hike & nice vid!
Wilco de Jonge I think most people start from the Aviemore side and head East but this way was easier for us and I think it's nicer to finish at Aviemore. Also there is much less hills to climb!
It certainly was a great walk. Carrying that Lidi Bag was a bit much but if I wanted a wee drink at the end of the walk it had to be done as I had no room in my Rucksack for it.
I walked the ghru from aviemore side (cant quite remeber the name) to the lin of dee car park, spectacular views but what a trudge it was. Walked august 1st 2016

you make it look like a stroll in the park ;) and i love the shopping bag. excellent!
I can't believe you guys carried all that drink with you. Amazing 🤣
Brings back memories!! We did the reverse walk in 1998, & there certainly weren't any bridges about back then!

Brilliant, I walked this approx 30 years ago in the middle summer, it's great seeing it on film.
I remember the boulder field as being particularly challenging.
Chalamain Gap? Murder with a rucksack on your back. Pitched at Couror Bothy to climb the peaks. It's some tough terrain.
Planning to do this with a few friends in few weeks time, can't wait!
Amazing ! Love it! Thumbs up and Greetings from round the corner :) Ireland! :)
Still the best sadly missed
I enjoyed watching this guys thanks might do this next year.

that is true Jay it would have been a disaster without a drink at the end
