      @@ShedTorque46thank you very much buddy, my error though as the 230mm is a slightly different can. In your opinion is it too loud as Im concerned that its 118db where all others I see are circa 105/7

    Great install. I have the same system albeit I run an Arrow Ti end can.
    Super value for money and beautifully made. Be aware the headers will go brown after a few hundred miles though...no biggie though, I kinda like the look?. Consider reversing & spinning those link pipe clips 180 degrees. That way the bolt heads can be hidden to the inside of the system out of sight, and it looks a lot 'cleaner.' Treat yourself to a decent 1/4 socket set...with a set of 1/4 drive allen keys too...will save you hours of faffing! Agree it's crazy loud sans baffle! Mine's had its 1st MOT last week, the tester was pretty relaxed about the exhaust noise. Great bikes....thanks for the vid...enjoy the ride.

      Thanks for the comment Tifa, weirdly I kinda like seeing the nut on the clamp, looks almost more mechanical, but I may turn them round. 👍 Yeah I picked up a Bahco set pretty reasonably priced. Thanks for watching and commenting. Appreciate it. 🔧⚙️

    Mint video mate but looks like the connections if pipes are slightly to loose for my liking should be a tighter fit than that surely. Nice headers

      I thought the same, but the fuel line connector is a strange design. It moves a mm or two but is designed to seal. Appreciate the comment mate.

    Hi mate how is the exhaust holding up? Any issues also how is the bike running still without a map? Want to get a full system but like some people say, the forum's etc make it out like your engine will blow up if you dont get a map

    • @ShedTorque46
      @ShedTorque46  10 місяців тому +1

      The manufacturer says no map required, and it isn't. BUT, if you want max power in each range then sure, take it and get it tweeked. Honestly, no issues for me at all. I do ride baffle in on this bike though, the noise gives me a headache after an hour and I am getting old. Thanks for watching! I haven't done much recently but fitted some heated grips last night on a friends bike so will upload that, also fitted a complete exhaust system on a friends bike so just in the middle of editing that! Thanks again!

    Hey man great video. Did you have to do any tuning after the header install???? I was wanting to put a header on my 18 cb1000r. But I would like to know if I have to get it jetted or anything? Or will it run just fine with a new header in it?

    • @ShedTorque46
      @ShedTorque46  2 роки тому

      Thanks mate. No tuning needed. If you were really fussy, like me, you could take it and iron out a couple of flatter spots at higher revs but you will do well to notice them.

    Great video, I've been looking at buying the Black Widow headers and an SC Project end can. Have you had any issues since releasing this video with the Black Widow system? I assumed you would have needed a remap and run on a dyno to bottom out any issues with a full system? I can't find any info regarding the lamda sensor limitations. All forums point to a full remap job but my knowledge on lamda sensors suggests otherwise. Thoughts?

    • @ShedTorque46
      @ShedTorque46  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Mike. No need for a remap as the ECU effectively learns from the new set up. However, that isn't to say it would not benefit from one. On full throttle (and I mean full ;-)) you will notice a couple of flat spots, nothing major, but if you are sensitive to it you will feel it at higher revs. Other than that, it is spot on mate.

  • @gordjy
    @gordjy 3 роки тому

    Hi mate, great video. One question, after a full system don't you need to take to a dyno and reprograme the ecu? isn't she burning more gas or jerking in some rev ranges?

    • @ShedTorque46
      @ShedTorque46  3 роки тому

      Thanks Gordjy, appreciate that mate. Apparently not, im reliably informed the lamda sensors are on a feedback loop so the ECU can monitor and adjust as required. I havent felt any jerking as of yet. Its something I am going to query with Honda just to confirm. Black Widow say nothing is required.

    If Black widow are watching I’ll quite happily do a video of me installing one of your full systems with the 230mm carbon slashed blue and can. And my Honda hornet 750 you all know it’s gonna sound better than the 4 cylinder. So please black widow uk contact your boy in Scotland and I’ll make a belter of a video taking the full exhaust into the hills of the west coast of Scotland. Full send baby

      Have you tested the other end can with the black widow pipes for sound difference?
      I think the blue tip will be a deeper sound due to it being a bigger end can?
