Thanks for this. I wouldn't have known about the two inner holes that you punch out.
Read the warning directions says do not install over existing electrical box.
Thank you. I was helping a person sell their house and he asked me to installed This at last minute. The inspector was going on for the buyer. You made it so easy I was able to install it less than 5 minutes. 😢😊
Hi did you used to have a smoke detector in that spot that was a wired and battery operated smoke detector AND now you just pushed up those wires because you won’t need them with the newer versions of the smoke alarm not needing a wire install as well? I’m wondering if my wires can just be pushed back and I don’t need to replace my old one with the wires? I’m so confused. Please help. Thank you.
When I installed it, for some reason it automatically switches it to "deactivate," (turning the smoke/co alarm clockwise). when I took it out to check if the switch was flipped (when I didn't even touch it), it was flipped 🥺 in some videos it shows 6 beeps, then stops. Help? :0
I went to Amazon and Walmart and they don't provide the model that you're featuring...
I have this alarm.
DO NOT MOVE SWITCH TO "DEACTIVATE".
It will never work again!.
There is a warning next to it
Question: Since that smoke alarm is battery powered is it safe to mount it to the nest that has wires for previous smoke detector?
The instructions say “WARNING! Do not install this Alarm over an existing electrical box.”
It looked like you turned anti-clockwise to remove it. As you said you turn clockwise to mount it to the bracket, so why would you turn clockwise to unmout it? Makes me confused, but I am a bit bad at these things.
Anti clockwise? Never heard that one before 😂
Anti-clockwise: in the opposite direction to the way in which the hands of a clock move around; counterclockwise.
"stopcocks are opened by turning them anticlockwise"
