    Thank you! I have not been sure that I was understanding the instructions so have waited months to put the new alarms up. You made it VERY clear.

    I'm in Alabama and had to watch your video just to find out how to activate it. Their instructions are not very clear, but maybe it's just me. Thank you.

    Thank you Mr. Fire Inspector! Much easier than navigating thru the written instructions.

    I think it’s better to have separate CO and smoke since it’s recommended to have low level CO detectors.

    What's the reason to have it mounted at least 6 feet from a bathroom? I have the furnace inside a closet in the hallway, but it's also across from the bathroom in that hallway. The existing SA/CO detector is in the hallway right in between the furnace and the bathroom.

    Hi, the first alert pc1210v alarm does not work. The test button works, but I burned some food and the alarm did not go off. Tested paper and a match touching the alarm, nothing. Its less than one year old.

    I noticed you mounted this unit next to an existing smoke alarm. Is there a reason why you didn’t just put it in place of that existing smoke alarm?

      I noticed that too and it triggers me whenever I see that. I do not recommend replacing a hardwired unit with a battery operated one.

      @@Photoelectric_Elevators why?

    • @Photoelectric_Elevators
      @Photoelectric_Elevators 2 роки тому

      @@noneya4820 Because using the battery operated unit is basically a wasted opportunity that it will no longer interconnect with the other existing hardwired alarms especially if it's not wireless interconnect. In this case he could've done a First Alert 7010B or even a 3120B which has both sensors.

    I thought carbon monoxide sank. Is it safe to have this on the ceiling? I really curious.

      If you're worried you can always use a smoke alarm and then put a single station carbon monoxide alarm on the wall.

    Why outside the bedroom? Why not inside the bedroom?

      You can do Both and it's better

      @@Honestandtruth007 If you have no alarms in your home, put your first one outside the bedrooms since it's better at detecting kitchen fires and it's the closest spot to the bedrooms.
