I have the original version that I bought years ago. It functions flawlessly and looks new. I haven’t kept up with G7th’s evolving design because the one I own stopped my search. Great product. I will however promise a future purchase if mine were to fail. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Hello. And thanks for the overview. Say, does the performance one work just as well on classical guitars too?

I just bought a g7 radiused banjo capo. The only other radiused banjo capos I have found are Elliott (very pricey) and Shubb. I have lots of Shubbs. I'd like to try something different. The ad I saw specifically mentioned Nechville banjos, which is what I play. I hope it works well. The reviews seem rather divided.

The Nashville may be the fastest *G7th* capo to move from fret to fret but the fastest is really a roller capo, such as the Glider, which very quickly moves from fret to fret, or above the nut when no longer needed, all without having to take it off first.

I'm completely confused by some of these comments. Every g7th I've have has worked on all my guitars, even my 35" 5-string bass up to the 5th fret. All I can think is it's flawed technique: Put a capo right behind a fret and find the optimal tension. Also don't leave your guitar & capo in a car with the windows rolled up in the summer I guess lol.

You are right, they are the best, but I recently bought a "performance G7th Art" and the filler piece on the release nub fell out while I was showing it off to another musician. I have 2 of the older ones for acoustic and classical, so I did not save the receipt of the new one knowing how well they are built. I have sent the G7th folks an email and an in hopes they will honor there claim and replace it. I will report back in a week. If they are as good at customer support as their capo's are I will remain a fan.

@@smokescreentom Thanks for your quick reply. For those of you reading this, Tommy sent me an email and said a drop of supper glue will work to solve the problem. I quote the email I just sent him, as I would not want to turn anyone away from these fine capos. Quote follows:
“I will do so and get back to you as to how I made out. I really do love these capos and if this works I’ll be a happy camper. You never can tell if a company is any good until a problem comes up. You getting back to me so quickly and addressing the problem speaks volumes as to your customer service.

@@AndyNormanPhotography It worked fine, I have been using it, and play out at least twice a week and teach a couple of times a week so it goes in and out of different cases with no problems. I am sure I could have sent it back, but I am a fix it kind of guy and this simple task was a lot less work than sending it back. This took care of it with no waiting. A win win for me.

I purchased a Performance 3 to use with my Gibson J200 and most times it simply doesn't work, it's a pain to get it to work on the high E.
These capos are not cheap, and I really expected perfection given the price !

Hey Chris, thanks for the comment :) To reassure you, we're super responsive to any issues people have - most of the time it's a case of the capo needing to be positioned a little closer to the fret, or people being a little too gentle with the amount of pressure they're applying. But if you have any issues at all, feel free to drop me a line directly at tommy.loose@g7th.com - I'll make sure we get you sorted if you have any issues! Thanks for choosing G7th, hope you enjoy it once it lands :)

Keep trying different pressure but not sure if it’s cause of my old hand injuries not having enough strength or I’m just not doing it properly. Wondering if the Newport might be easier for me

I bought a Performance3 Special Edition Celtic Engraved. Beautiful part. But: I didn't get a clear intonation on any guitar (Gretsch, LAG, Furch, La Mancha). Usually the A or D string buzzes. Or the strings are dead. Pressing harder doesn't help. It's especially bad on the first and second frets. I sent the first Capo back and ordered another one somewhere else. The result is the same. I am helpless and disappointed. I can't understand all the good reviews. Too bad

Junk. Disintegrated after one use. Left an Ultralight Classical on my flamenco for a couple of days after receiving it. It's come apart and all the fucking rubber is stuck on a fresh set of Savarez strings. Be warned, they're just junk. Buy a Kyser. I should have just spent the extra and got another Kyser to replace the classical one that went missing.
Also, the G7th Ultralight mechanism SUCKS! It just puts enough tension on the strings, and it's so flimsy.. no wonder it's fallen apart.
Cheap CHINESE MADE SHIT! Buy American made.
