If you look at the artwork of both vanilla monsters it looks like the manipulator is a younger version of the swordsman. I hope we get more support because that's how the cards and archtypes get their lore and backstory.
would love to see an updated version =) heard some rumors about new Flame Swordsman support in Maze of Millennia =). Sadly konami do not make an archetype around it... is a shame that we got a jinzo archetype but not a flame swordsman archetype
For your Giltia The D. Knight Soul Spear deck profile you should add Insect Queen to the deck profile because Joey had it along with Jinzo, Ledgendary Fisherman, and also Red Eye Black Dragon! And also I think that the Monster Lord of Red too also as well might be alright in the deck profile!
Classic Yugioh Monster that deserves more Support soon Gandora The Dragon of Destruction, Winged Dragon of the Fortress, Exxod Master of the Guard, Rocket Warrior, Big Shield Gardna, Gazelle King of The Mythical Beasts, and also Berfomet to also as well!

While you control 2 or more Red-Eyes monsters you can special summon this card from your hand. If this card is summoned place 21 Swordsman Counters on this card. Once per turn during either player's turn (Quick Effect) You can remove any number of Swordsman counters from this card and place them on another monster you control. If you do it gains Attack equal to the number of Swordsman Counters placed on it X100 & this card loses Attack equal to the amount of Swordsman counters removed X100. (If this card's Attack reaches 0 Change it to Face Up Defense Position) If a monster with Swordsman counters on it leaves the field due to your opponent's card effects or due to being destroyed by battle inflict 100 damage to your opponent for each counter on that card X100.

Never understood why they even made the Flame Swordsman a fusion to begin with. It was a normal monster in the anime.

U could also play eye of timias as you can make dark flare knight with it
