Red eyes flame swordsman, flame swordsman of land star, Gilford the flame swordsman, panther flame swordsman, black flare night retrain, gearfried the iron flameswordsman, is what I’m hoping for. A jinzo flame swordsman would be dope but wouldn’t really fit the theme. Maybe red eyes jinzo? I just hope they can make the red eyes and flame swordsman archetype work together so I can make a modern Joey deck since he’s my fav character and always had my favorite cards growing up.
I threw the flame swordsman support into a Red-eyes build I have. It works surprisingly well, using red-eyes fusion to go into slash dragon. The fighting flame swordsman can then set up the graveyard, and can also be equipped to slash dragon. Slash dragon gets destroyed, you can Special summon Fighting flame swordsman for its summon effect to add. Gearfried the red-eyes iron knight also synergizes well being a warrior that uses equip cards. Try it out!
I've waited for this archetype to be fully flushed out since lob. Absolutely worth the wait. Wish we got a different color flame Swordsman in purple or black but i digress.
Bradamante can grab Durendal for Fighting Flame Swordsman, Fusion if you have the continuous spell and can get out OG Flame Swordsman. Ogier can normal summon to dump Fighting Flame Swordsman to dump Fighting Flame or Mirage. Circle of the Fire Kings can get you any of your fire monsters outta the GY for combo. FK Island can pop to grab garunix to sp summon if you wanna hybrid.
I like the build i would recommend Fusion arnament cuz it can bring out fighting flame dragon and then pop it with Realm to get it in grave making its effects live
3 Questions: 1) Does Salamandra with chain work on Blue Eyes Chaos Max? What cards remove Blue Eyes Chaos Max? No complex combos please as i just casually play legacy with modern support. 2) Do any of the new cards work with Blue Flame Swordsman?
Salamandra with Chain does work on Chaos Max as it neither targets or destroys it, then, while it is face-down you can destroy it with card effects. It does not mention Flame Swordsman, so no. You can run Blue Flame Swordsman and it can summon any of these monsters from the GY.
With how these cards are, those being Red-Eyes support wouldn’t make sense. There will probably be some support later in the year so you can run them together though, like with Dark Magician and Gaia/BLS
@@catsorafgcYou could argue Gearfried had nothing to do with Red Eyes being an Earth Warrior but he got retrained into a RedEyes and a Dark monster so it's not too out there to assume the same thing would have happened to other joey cards.
@@eddy9524 Gearfried being retrained into Red-Eyes made sense of in the context that the wave he came out in was focused on equips. Red-Eyes since that has became hard focused on Rank 7 plays, burn, and GY set up. Current Flame Swordsman wouldn’t make sense for that playstyle
All Joey needs now is a Red-Eyes Flame Swordsman Fusion that can cheese out Red-Eyes fusion

Yeah you can honestly replace Instant and Ready Fusion with them.

I could use a build with Claw of Hermos to attach Red-Eyes Black Sword fusion but maybe avoid red eyes fusion since that locks out your other summons
