I think most of these places like Taco Bell or Del Taco put the cheese on top is one for looks and second for that cold hot combo. I much rather have the cold cheese on top to get that contrast. Hey Bill can you send me over one of those chalupas please lol they look amazing my friend.
Your Chalupa looks fresh, simple & very delicious. My 1st experience of going to a taco bell was in Jr. High, mid 80's. My all time favorite item at taco bell is the Super supreme burrito. Thought I'd ask if you might make a video for the burrito? I was born & raised in Oklahoma. Both my mom & dad are part Native American. Mom's 1/2 Cherokee & Daddy a 1/4 Chicksaw. So, I grew up eating things like grape dumplings, pashoa & lots of Indian tacos. I noticed they're made with the exact ingredients used for the chalupa, only difference is the bread is fried flat, not in the taco shape. Which is quicker. We liked the air pocket bubbles. Mainly cause the juicy meat would get down the holes. I think copycat recipes taste much better when made at home. Anyway, that's my opinion. I sure hope you continue making other versions of famous recipes. I'd definitely come back & watch more. Keep up the good work & thank you for sharing. 😃
Almost embarrassed to say that I've never had a chalupa. Being a bit lazier than most, I'd probably make double-decker tacos, before I'd take the time to make chalupas.

Chicken Chalupa is one of my favorites! I may have to try this! Thanks!

Watching from Mackinac Island Michigan.
Looks great
My grandfather was stationed there when he was in the Coast Guard. Beautiful part of the world!
Please make Taco Bell’s volcano burrito. It was my favorite that they made. Thanks

The chalupa is about the only thing left on the menu that I just can't say no to. When they are fresh and hot like this they are like crack!
