- Опубліковано 18 сер 2024
- EMTBs offer us new opportunities to explore and go on bigger adventures, and Steve Jones decided to make the most of this on a trip to Italy! He set an audacious goal: Climbing up to a dizzying 10,000ft, then tackling some of the most incredible, technical singletrack around - all on one 750wh battery! Will it be up to the task, or is this dream adventure destined to end up a nightmare?

FYI, these are like the top gear specials. We waited all year for those. Same here - these do more to inspire buyers than droning about the machines that they want you to sell.
Agreed, would love to see a vid like this weekly. Quite inspirational and makes me want one more that ever...
As always in these more documentary-style videos from you guys, TOP JOB cinematography.
WELL DONE LADS!
Someone needs to tell the crew about 4K ... ridiculous to be still shooting in 1080p 😖
I love these episodes. They're not just about e mtbing. They're about the trip, tech and challenges. Keep em coming jonesey
Steve's adventure rides are the most inspiring, exciting and scenic vids. Great cinematography - especially lovely drone work. Thank you.
The camerawork on this is exceptional, thanks for making it about the adventure and the solice that we look for when out and about in nature rather than stats. I love the ethos of - the bikes can do it, so go and do it. Rather than it being a 20minute advert! 🤘🤘
Different class. You guys are taking these films to the next level. Production levels on par with Top Gear (and with presenters that aren’t arseholes 😂)
Another fantastic production from the team.👏🏻
Great ride and filming...you guys definitely compliment each other ..especially in times of 'adversity '....you all pull together and get the job done...thanks for a special treat to watch 😊👍
Never get tired of watching MTBing at breathtaking places. I’m sure the beer at the end was heavenly.
Ive been waiting patiently Steve for another epic Alps trip ( or similar ) and you have delivered .... again! Absolutely knockin it out the park mate, im an ex enduro rider (motorbike) but since packing that it ive craved something else... i bought an ebike about 6 weeks back in the sale ( Turbo levo comp ) ... i bought one because of this chanel Steve 👌🏽... Pyrenees next ?
These big mountain videos are great! This is one of if not the best versions. Great filming, some whining and obvious fear, its all there.
Once Steve starts up with his big wheelie turns around switchbacks you know hes having fun, Ive made some efforts at it on my Spectral ON but so far very little luck. Maybe a tutorial is needed. I can do it on a dirtbike.
Didnt it start @ 5000' and go to 10,000" ?
Yet another amazing video. Love watching your treks. Well done. Keep them coming.
Another cracking video from Steve and the team. Big mountains 🤙
Wow, such beautiful sites and lovely adventure! 😊
Honest commentary refreshingly realistic. After all we aren’t all Chris Akrigg or Danny Macadkill. Great vid
So well done team! Love this style
Outstanding journey, beautifully captured. These are great inspiring videos, really shows what’s possible on such equipped bikes, and skill off-course. How many battery charge was needed to achieve this, would love to see a video of how and what goes into planning these epic rides
Great trip lads very inspiring, thankyou for the experience
Always wheeling into corners!
More of this please. Brilliant Steve and gang.
Another cracking video guys!! Wow what a place and what trail!! Keep up the good work!!
Wow…. You guys are lucky, never take your jobs for granted! What another amazing adventure and achievement accomplishment, must have been hard work and scary at times but a great film 🎥 love watching your videos and reviews well done all 😊
A great Swiss Alps adventure boys......you guy are getting fancier and fancier with your film production.....that trip you guys just did was a really beautiful place to ride and film. Thanks!
Mi fa piacere che apprezziate le Alpi sudoccidentali. Sono un vero paradiso per scialpinisti e ciclisti. I am pleased that you appreciate this area, my homeland, it is a real paradise for bikers and skiers. The tour of monte Bellino is only one of the many similar trails you can find here. Next time you come, let me know, l'll show you many others. Bye
Wow you guys are amazing, love the spirit of adventure and seeing new places. Starts of gentle and scenic then gets scary. Very well done
Amazing ride! You definitely earned those pints🍻
Done a few trips with Aidy and Riviera and Nava freeride. Some amazing riding in Italy ..... Must get back there soon 🙌 that looks mint ⚡
Steve you did this before we met at Roc D’Azur. This is stunning wish I was 40 years younger. Looking to book at The Relais Alpino what room did you have I want to make this a special birthday for Tina. Will be taking our bikes but not going onto single track. Brilliant filming to capture a great area.
Excellent. Absolutely love this kind of content. Well done boys
Absolutely in love with this sort of content in such a [National Geographic level] presentation style. Thanks🤘
Lovely Adventure 👌🏻
the finest vino collapso to end the day
Perfect storrytelling! Love it ❤
Sometimes I wonder why Steve puts himself in these dangerous situations he's always riding close to the edge but I do love watching his videos
Really well shot and edited. Bravo 👏
Fantastic video again Steve 😊
this is so wonderfull adventure and motivation i hve it on my bucket List well done
That looked incredible!🤩 top work!👌🏻
What an amazing spot ! How about some deets ? How much battery was left, start and finish points, what was the overall distance covered
I was feeling a bit puking watching you on that steep stuff!! I was scared enough on Longscale Fell!
Highest Peak on my super light Trek Fuel Exe, 2 360Wh batteries: Imogene Pass CO 13114 ft (3997 m), steepest grades 22%, bike weight 40 lbs, rider weight 154 lbs, backpack weight 10 lbs, pedal assist ECO, TRAIL only, a few easy hike-a-bike YES😃
Love those adventure videos ! 😎
You have all the fun , I’m jealous ! 😁
Fantastic video again boys well dun 👏
Epic adventure Steve!
Excellent video! makes me want to go do this right away.
Nice to watch and great team!
Love it! Just brilliant!
Steve, I'm curious what saddle you used for this adventure? I figure you probably picked a personal favorite to put on, rather than stock. Great vid, should have been a 1hr vid.
Great Video! But would like to have known what was left in the battery tank on all three bikes.
Looks epic👍 Where is this? Do you have a route?
Heaven on earth, you are the best👌💪
1:58 E-bear cheats. I’ll only ever cuddle an acoustic bear 😉
Brilliant video which canyon was Adey on for the trip? How did the Neuron cope? Keep up the amazing work!
what is the location of this place?
Great Video, I would have turned round at the top though :)
Simply Epic..!!
Whu dont you share the place you stayed at ? It would be helpful for us to know, and to be able to go there. The hotel looked really nice
My butt was puckered watching some of this.
Sweaty palms just watching :-0
What tires and size tires did you use? And why or why not, would you ever use 29 x 2.6? What do you guys think about the Continental front Argotal trail and Kryptotal enduro rear in 29 x 2.6? My bike is the 85nm Pivot Shuttle AM 150mm rear 160 front. Great choice for all around conditions in the Appalachian Mountains and areas east to the coast? Rocks, roots, ruts, loose over hard, loam, sand, a small amount of mud, etc. i’m thinking the 29 x 2.6 would be great for the really chunky Rocky rides. For periods of time you’re on nothing but big rocks and boulders with gaps in between them and at times 90° faces.
My bike came with 29 x 2.4 OEM DHF AND DHR Both EXO+. Wondering if the OEM tires are gonna be tough enough for the really Rocky areas and areas where you’re likely to get sidewall cuts or punctures of whatever kind?
Im riding the new Neuron:on as well. I like it very much and this summer we rode a lot of trails like the one in your fantastic video.
How do you think it will be with 155 mm cranks and a 36 mm 150mm fork?
Just curious about your professional opinion.
Sincerely
Jerker
Sweden
Amazing
Wow... you are so amazing…
Beautiful 😍
EPIC!
Great work! Could You send us some gpx or name of that singletrack or some mouintains names etc?
How do you do this ride….Guided ? Is there a link ?
Epic! No knee pads though? Yikes
Steve could you attempt your next epic mountain emtb adventure on a frey ex pro? Interested how the bafang ultra would do (edit) with a pro rider onboard. Attempt number3
Bafang would have to kick in the cash to get their bikes featured.
QQ - How do you find flying with an EMTB - do airlines have an issue with massive batteries in the hold?
Great 👍👍👍👍
What was your total ascent considering you started at five thousand feet and how much battery percentage did you have at the end?
Agree, would have been nice for you to share this info with us Jonesy
Steve you are one lucky son of a bleep
Be a cool vacation ...hike n bike in france ,,drink the wine ,try the food .c
Me: (acrophobia) ah yea, i can see the trail. it's fine. everything is fine.
Love the Steve's video as always, hate illogical units, stop it already with that nonsense! Especially that it is a constant mix with metric, you are in Italy use metric like all Europeans and 90% of the world! PLEASE!!!!
Nice. Did you call your friend an idiot?
He allways does 😅
So worn out you sit in a bar with your helmets still on. 🤣
Or just take an extra battery 😅
Limbo dancing Christmas time?…..
didn't see much of a riding
