Rich when you do these kinds of events, you don't just entertain us, but you inspire us. So, yes you should absolutely do more of these events. You make me want to get out more on my mtb and actually clock more miles in rather than just head down the trails...

Great production, the timelapses of the lights passing is awesome and tells a story itself. Really a great video to see and watch Rich crack on, just going to town! I'd bet anything it's rich who wants to do these things. On GCN, it's Hank who's their endurance/challenge guy and both of these guys seem to genuinely love to push themselves to new heights.

Great job Rich, congratulations on a very respectable ride Sir! It was a pleasure to watch your experience even though you were miserable. Endurance racing is a bit of a staple here in Ogden Utah. Many world class athletes live and train here for some of the toughest races in the world. I wonder how the Strathpuffer would compare to what I consider the toughest MTB race in the world, La Ruta de los Conquistadores. This race is the bench mark for endurance MTB racing. It would be wonderful if you could do a story about La Ruta de los Conquistadores and Roman Urbina, a living Legend! Well good Sir, Cheers! - M

In the Netherlands we have something simulair called 'Drenthe 200'. it's on 28 of december. Not 24 hours though, unless you're really slow. The course this year was 209km, and it was extremely muddy, windy, rainy and cold. The winner did it in 7hr 27min 40sec.

Epic man, well done. I appreciate mtb’ing with mud guards is not cool ( to some) but I am struggling with why you carry all that dirt around with you which is surely affecting your body temps. Brutal ride!
Mudguards are additional failure points, which is why no racers (either on road or off) use them. They can clog up with mud and stones, sticks can get caught in the stays, or they can get rattled loose and foul the wheels.
Great achievement congratulations would love to see GMBN vs. GCN do the Desert Dash (397Km 24 hours through the oldest dessert in world) in Namibia as a epic challenge between mountain and road cyclist!

Surely the dirt would act as an insulator. As for mudguards not being cool, MTBers are naturally cool, so…
