- This video showcases Toei/Junio Sonic in Sonic Frontiers. The model looks great and has new animations like the peel out to go alongside it! The game textures got increased color vibrancy to match the Classic theme and Metal Sonic makes a return!

This! One reason why I was highly looking forward to this game! There was also a fan game being developed prior to Frontiers called Sonic Project Hero which was, more or less, what Frontiers was in world design, despite Sonic having more movement options.
Man the animations during transitions look sooo good here. Probably my favorite Character mod up there with 06 Sonic. Love the new jump ball.

This model for this game is the coolest thing I've ever seen, it fits very well. Even the JumpBall is awesome
Honestly, I didn't know how someone could translate Toei Sonic's unique quills into a 3D model, but this did a really good job at it.
Toei Sonic is true classic Sonic. Cool, acrobatic and beautiful.
Fun Fact: It's actually not supposed to be called "Toei" Sonic because the CD cutscenes were animated by a group of underpaid animators at *"Studio Junio"*

@@ThePokechester It's really depressing seeing people constantly call it toei Sonic when it was clarified on twitter that the people who animated the stuff for CD were severely underpaid. I can't imagine how they feel all these years later just seeing their works be misconstrued as just a "Toei" animation

Metal Sonic’s enormous size makes this feel like a callback to the Sonic X-Treme Boss Battle.
The increased Color vibrancy is so pretty.

I know it's in the description but Junio is the only name for this style of sonic and I refuse to give toei any credit for it. They have wonderful creators there too, but this is Junio Sonic

I would have loved the chance to recreate the opening animation from Sonic CD in Frontiers, especially the last segment of Sonic spindashing down the cliff side to reach a sonic boom before running along the giant chains to little planet.

The model looks amazing. I think the only thing that'd really make it better is if the quills moved and shook a little bit with Sonic's movement. Beyond that, it looks amazing, and makes me want more developers to create Sonic games with this model more. This "Classic" model looks the very best in 3D.

God damn mods make this game look amazing. No pop ins and vibrant colors really improve the game. Hopefully sega adds filters options to the game and not just for photo mode

See this perfectly represents the problem i have with the franchise which is that it is suffering a total identitiy crisis. At some point sonic "split" and what was once an art style change is now a completely different character, known by "modern" sonic. But what is modern sonic! Classic sonic is too cool for school attitude! Modern sonic is serious? But then he became a saturday morning satire. But now he is serious again? There is no... consistency. Sega tried to convince you that these are two different characters and there is no real reason for it! Why? Because the sonic in this video fits in the game perfectly here! It actually looks like a sonic game instead of a zelda one! It still has the sense of wonder and exploration, but is also so bubbly! It's so lively and cartoony! You may disagree with me but this is such a well done mod, it inspires me, it makes me happy, the creator has my respect
