When you stand in line to visit this beautiful old ship, you'll notice people in period costumes, which is nice. Also, there's a big sign nearby, which reads, "Walk the Plank $5.oo." There's also another sign nearby, which reads, "Keel Hauling Demonstration at 2 o-clock. Volunteers wanted." (OK, I'm joking.)
She was built by my great uncles John and Fred Rhuland at the Smith and Rhuland shipyard in Lunenburg Nova Scotia. They also built the Bounty and the Bluenose 2.
It was mostly made famous by what these ships did, how they were used by their captains and crew, the politics, nationalism, military discipline and stoicism, class struggle of that day, age and environment, . . . , etc. for without that, the ship is just an old boat, they're all just old boats, i.e., a means of conveyance across water, . . . Your comments excludes by omission these values. Ignoring them as such insults everyone's' intelligence and humanity, etc. who (rightly, to my mind) revere and venerate the ship, story and legend etc., imho.
If your taking a lyric from the song i'm sure were thinking of, its "drunken sailor" not "drunken whaler" and put him in the brig until he's sober while your at it

Excellent project. A school ship is a great use for the ship.
What a great view of that ship. Thanks for the upload.
The hull was "submerged" not the boat.

If your taking a lyric from the song i'm sure were thinking of, its "drunken sailor" not "drunken whaler" and put him in the brig until he's sober while your at it
Put him in the Long boat 'til he's sober.....
It was in Pirates of the Caribbean too
@@grasshopper1286 here come the grammar police 🚓 😱
Actually that was Lady Washigton a brig rigged ship out of Seattle.
How she sailed from her home port to the Caribbean was an adventure in it's self.
@@markmurphy3959 is there any video on that voyage? I’m very much interested now
Can work on it though with glasses wearing people.
Fucking morons needed this crane to be tall ... ??
WHY ??
To repeat History... I get it.
If the vessel belongs to San Diogo it's the USS NOT HMS.......
HMS Surprise was a British vessel you f o o l
I prefer it being called HMS Providence.
