That's how I was first introduced to you and Princess Christy Altomare.... Miss the TOTALLY TRUCKED vlogs. FUN FACT: My teenage years, I was obsessed with SPRING AWAKENING. Saw it on Broadway for my 16th Bday with my mom (RIP). Both sat on the stage... so cool being very close to Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff. We were amazed by what was happening and the action taking place all around us. Some scenes surprised us (like the Beating scene and the Nude scene). I remember my mom after TOTALLY FUCKED, she whispered in my ear "I can see you doing this show". Funny enough, 2 months later announced the offical open casting call tour for the show. I went to the NY Open Call. It was my first major audition for anything in NYC. They did an open casting call for both future replacements in the Broadway cast and to find newcomers to kick off the 1NT. Never got it but grateful for that experience. I was so upset to not see the Deaf West revival. Was supposed to go but the show got cancelled that night due to the that horrible Blizzard that happened in 2016 I'm now 28 but I think can still do it somewhere.
Can you talk more about being a swing and what that is like? I’m always so curious to know about swings, understudies, standbys, Broadway contracts, what is a union?, etc etc?! I think this would be a fascinating video to learn about the broadway process!
I still regard the Spring Awakening First National Tour cast as my favorite cast of anything ever. Been following all of you guys for years! So proud of all you've accomplished.
Same! I'm 27 years old and everywhere I have lived from my childhood bedroom to college to five different states have had my Spring Awakening first national tour signed poster hanging up in it! I LOVE seeing the cast in new things. They're all incredible.

My wife and daughter and I had season tickets at the Fox Theatre in St Louis, Missouri and SA was one of the shows. I was not familiar with the show at all. My daughter who was a senior in high school was and wasn’t sure how I would feel about some of the content. I was very moved by the story and the music. SA quickly became on of the all time favorites. We even road the train to Chicago to see the show there. We waiter at the stage door with all the many fans (Guilty Ones) and I took cell phone pictures of my daughter meeting the cast and getting autographs. I remember everyone in the cast was so gracious and took the time to speak with everyone. It was like all of you seemed to know how meaningful the show was to those fortunate to see it. My daughter is 30 now, but we still remember SA and the wonderful cast. Thank you Krystina!

I love Spring Awakening! I wanted to see the Revival, DeafWest version of it. As a Deaf person, I'd love to be in a production of this. ASL/Singing the songs... I manage to memorize the entire song of "Purple Summer" in 10 hours [Sign Language of it] What would the process be for the Swings/Understudies?

I remember when my husband and I saw mean girls on broadway, you were so sweet and kind to us! I remember I gave you one of the mean girls buttons we had made for the cast and then I told you I had been following your career since totally trucked and you gave me a stunned look like "how do you even know what that is?!??!" Lol Best day ever

By that point I had already missed the tour in Chicago, so of course I had to road trip to see it in Milwaukee, which I think was the first stop on the 2nd leg. The whole thing was amazing even from my nosebleed seat and such an credible cast. Always enjoyed the Totally Trucked videos. I also saw the American Idiot and Evita tours! Stay healthy and take care!
Spring awakening was the first real musical I was a part of. I did it the summer before 9th grade at my theater camp and it was the best experience ever. It's such a beautiful show that hits hard but is also so much fun to do. It needs to be revived immediately!

Yo, your from AZ? Me too! I played some mid parts in my high schools usical, but never fully committed to the path One of my classmates that I sang show choir dud commit, though, and ended up doing some performances as fiero in the Wicked production on Broadway
Can you talk about how to get an agent/the process of getting one? Because I know having an agent is one of the few ways you can become an equity and professional actor
After having done this show, I cannot imagine having to keep track of all of the harmonies of Mama reprise. Any tips about swinging/understudying/keeping track of everything?

Kelsey Emerson I think a swing is someone who has different tracks, like 2 ensembles, eg. Regina, and Gretchen, Understudy.
A swing is an offstage person that covers multiple ensemble tracks. Sometimes they can also cover principle roles too.
