Second Kamigawa, always wanted to hear that story. Maybe lorwyn block, never heard that one. Scourge/onslaught was also a sweet block I’d like to know more about.
Same but I adore the lovecraftian tentacle creatures with mind eating and body twisting effects. Emrakul the promised end was my first top tier card and I cherish it.
The Innistrad block is when I began playing magic. So biased or not, it will always be my favorite! These lore videos are amazing! I really enjoyed seeing the corresponding cards and being able to place the flavor text and abilities with the corresponding lore (i.e. Descend upon the Sinful, all the Tamiyo journal cards). I really miss your interactions on CoCl, but these videos have been amazing! It's very apparent that its a labor of love.
Please please please do more of these! Absolutely amazing. As a player who hasn't been around for a lot of these sets, all this lore is so interesting! Plus it's explained very well!
Please do more like this. MTG lore is amazing and you did an epic job of explaining it. Not to mention younare easier to listen to thannother lore channels. MORE PLEASE!
Wow. More lore please! This kind of stuff keeps me invested in Magic despite all the product fatigue and crossover turn-offs... and makes me want to explore old cards Hope others feel the same way.
Loved this video. I was looking for content like this, explaining the story behind the sets. There is no good lore channel as far as I know of. And the way the story was told with the actual cards which represent certain important story highlights made it for me a true eye opener. Now I understand my cards and where they came from. ( I wasn't playing magic during inistrad) So to keep things short, YES MORE PLEASE! Fantastic job.
Drove home listening to this and what a joy. Tomer you have an excellent voice and flow when telling this story. One of my favorite mtggoldfish videos and I have been around since the start
Bring back the history articles to goldfish. This and Innistrad Part1 was almost like the videos on the Mirage block, tempest block etc. Loved those videos as much as this and the other Innistrad vid.
This story is what got me into mtg. I got a couple boosters and was fascinated by the eldrazi thing and found the full story of this and eldritch moon and spent 4-5hours just laying there reading it all on my old iPhone 5. I then proceeded to go collect almost every single card from eldritch moon and most of them from shadow.
This was amazing. I thought I knew a lot of the Shadows Over Innistrad/Eldritch Moon story but this breakdown showed me that there was so much more!

Now I need another MTG Lore with every single main story from the Multiverse! Thank you Tomer for this amazing effort, I am a sucker for MTG lore and this is awesome. Keep the videos coming, please!
Great stuff Tomer! I find the Sorin-Nahiri back story fascinating, and I really think you did it justice. I like how you detailed Nahiri's descent from selfless hero to vengeance-blinded villain. Sorin's motivations seem pretty opaque to me other than he's pretty selfish. Despite turning into a genocidaire, Nahiri seems surprisingly sane for someone who did 1000 years in solitary.
Thank you, the art in the first couple of minutes was a great sequence, both in selection and the editting. Loved the lore and how you convey it as well. Please continue with the series.
These lore videos are great! Your narration is clear and well-written, and I really dig how you’ve used Card Images and Set Art as visual aids for key story moments.
This was fantastic, and makes me miss experiencing the story along with the community as the sets were released. As for other lore videos, I'd definitely love one on Amonkhet, my favourite plane so far.
This lore video was absolutely incredible. I really needed this context going into the new set. And it's honestly made me genuinely excited for it in a way that I wasn't before hearing all of this. Now I am itching to read the web fiction that will accompany this, too! Thank you!
I was excited after watching part 1 for this and I was enthralled. I didnt know half this stuff and the ending was a massive eye opener! Thanks and excited to see where the rest of innistrad takes us this year.
I liked the separate stories of Shadows over Innistrad. Like "cured" Luminair finding our their werewolf forms are returning, Folklore creatures being brought into reality, & most importantly, Gisa referring to her brother Geralf as a "Sausage Stitcher."...Lol *Thanks* *For* *The* *Content* !
I started with Dragons of Tarkir but this was the first set I started fully understanding the lore. I ran an eldrazi werewolf deck in SOI and then they made literal eldrazi werewolves in Eldritch Moon
Fantastic video and lore! I, however, liked better the first video format, with only full arts and the ominous background music, way more immersive than this one where you overlayed multiple cards graphic. Fantastic job anyways, looking forward to the next episodes!
These videos have been great keep it up man. Clear on point and the use of the art is amazing! I have been trying to find lore videos and mostly it's people rambling and getting side tracked lol
16:13 I couldn't have put it better myself. Olivia was one of numerous pieces of evidence that proved that. He really deluded himself into believing that Nahiri would forgive and forget from being trapped in the Hell Vault. The whole time Olivia helped him fight Nahiri, she supported her vendetta against him. She chose not to free him even if it meant the plane would be destroyed by one of the three Eldrazi. Maybe she was ambitious, but there's no doubt that she carried resentment toward him just as the large portion of the Vampire community did. Sorin was his own worst enemy.
I think this is well done Tomer. Seems like you dug into some synonyms rather than repeat stuff like “creatures of the night” and “forces of darkness / evil” too much. Maybe add some slight pauses between sections. But again, well done.
Loved that story breakthrough! The opening sequence was really suspenseful, indeed, loved that. Although WotC "promised" no Eldrazi in the next set, I'd really like to see the return of Emrakul, especially since the last sets had I would say very hushed story beats, I feel like the overall story has been in the background since War of the Spark. Hoping for New Phyrexians or "mysterious planeswalker" who spoke to Lukka through The Ozolith to make a move in the near future :P
Man I miss when wizard's did blocks for planes. It really gave them time to flesh out characters and the plane itself
"In order to keep this video focused and concise..." Tomer - you know we didn't come for short and focused :D
I love that this is 40 minutes. Keeps me entertained when driving home.
Absolutely loved the opening sequence, the music and editing was top notch
Do you happen to know the name of the track?
@@albertoparolin7170 Not 100% sure, but they did list the music credits at the bottom of the video description above.
@@ike2783
not really helpful, macleod did shit ton of tracks
@@albertoparolin7170 Sorry about that. Sadly I have no idea what track was used for the intro.
Excellent intro
I am always excited for lore dumps, and would love to see more. Especially for Kamigawa and the Brothers War.
Second Kamigawa, always wanted to hear that story. Maybe lorwyn block, never heard that one. Scourge/onslaught was also a sweet block I’d like to know more about.
Some of my favorite content for MTG. Watched 100% of both parts. Please do more for each set.
I'm a big bloodborne fan, and I started playing magic because of this set. Eldritch horror, werewolves, I'm in.
Same but I adore the lovecraftian tentacle creatures with mind eating and body twisting effects. Emrakul the promised end was my first top tier card and I cherish it.
Literally me with midnight hunt!!
Hell yeah SOI is when I started getting into Magic seriously for the first time, super hype!
Same here. I’ve been very excited for this!!
The lore of Innistrad is amazing! And Tomer did a very good job here!
I would die for more lorwyn talk and from my boy Tomer? Yes please
10/10 Tomer should do more of this. Great story telling, for one of my favorite sets lorewise.
This read along lore series is the best Goldfish content to date! Keep up the good work Tomer!

Awesome video Tomer. I love MTGs amount of lore, but never have the time to read everything, so these are perfect.
Also, Odric is best character.
I agree. And not only because my main edh deck uses the best boy
We all love Odric
magic books on tape. I could literally listen to all of this for all of magic. Please don't stop here.
Thank you for making this! It’s so fun to relive the story, especially when paired with the awesome art
Poor Avacyn. Would be nice if she could somehow get resurrected to find some kind of redemption. She really got shafted in all this.
Nah, I’ll put her back in the graveyard with my sorin every time
Please do more like this. MTG lore is amazing and you did an epic job of explaining it. Not to mention younare easier to listen to thannother lore channels. MORE PLEASE!
Awesome job Tomer! These videos are quickly becoming my favorite. Can't wait until we return to Innistrad with all this knowledge.
Wow. More lore please! This kind of stuff keeps me invested in Magic despite all the product fatigue and crossover turn-offs... and makes me want to explore old cards
Hope others feel the same way.
The close-up on the original art was fenomenal, saw details of the eldrazi corruption that I never noticed and I own some of those cards
Easily my favorite part of MtG lore so far, excellent job with the storytelling Tomer!
MTG Lore series is my new favourite things in MTG contents. Thanks tomer
Loved this video.
I was looking for content like this, explaining the story behind the sets.

Fantastic job.
Drove home listening to this and what a joy. Tomer you have an excellent voice and flow when telling this story. One of my favorite mtggoldfish videos and I have been around since the start
Tomer, another fantastic job! You have a gift of storytelling. I hope you continue to make more videos (maybe a podcast?) of lore and set stories.
Bring back the history articles to goldfish. This and Innistrad Part1 was almost like the videos on the Mirage block, tempest block etc. Loved those videos as much as this and the other Innistrad vid.

This story gives me chills dude its so good. GOD I love Innistrad. :) thanks Tomer!!
This video game me chills multiple times, I have shared it with my magic group and encouraged them to watch them. More lore plz!!!
Loved the intro! I was instantly captivated by the images and music! Love you Tomer!
This was amazing. I thought I knew a lot of the Shadows Over Innistrad/Eldritch Moon story but this breakdown showed me that there was so much more!
Now I need another MTG Lore with every single main story from the Multiverse!

Intro. 10/10.
These two parts were the greatest lore video’s I’ve ever seen.
Thank you for making this! Sometimes reading over the MTG wiki articles just doesn't cover the lore well at all!
Enjoyed these tremendously Tomer. I got to appreciate the art and stories of the cards in full art.
Thank you, the art in the first couple of minutes was a great sequence, both in selection and the editting. Loved the lore and how you convey it as well. Please continue with the series.
Please!!! I need this for ALL the sets/planes!! Great job!!
These lore videos are great! Your narration is clear and well-written, and I really dig how you’ve used Card Images and Set Art as visual aids for key story moments.
He also has a very nice voice for this. Perfect to just close my eyes, lay back and listen.
This was fantastic, and makes me miss experiencing the story along with the community as the sets were released. As for other lore videos, I'd definitely love one on Amonkhet, my favourite plane so far.
Fantastic summary! Thanks for sticking to the main plot line!
This was fantastic. Please do more from different sets. I would recommend showing more art and cards in these kinds of videos in the future.
I really enjoy this and the previous video in the lore series. I can only hope it gets finished one day.
Thats what i call a Magic story. Thats how its suppose to be. Thank you for all your work and time, I enjoyed it very much.
Please give us more of this. It is amazing!
This was fantastic. Filled in a lot of details I didn't know. I really appreciated seeing the cards presented in story order.
I liked the separate stories of Shadows over Innistrad. Like "cured" Luminair finding our their werewolf forms are returning, Folklore creatures being brought into reality, & most importantly, Gisa referring to her brother Geralf as a "Sausage Stitcher."...Lol
*Thanks* *For* *The* *Content* !
Thank you Tomer. I really enjoyed this video and all your content. Hope to see more of these lore videos. It was really well done.
Love to see these videos coming. Wanted MTG lore videos from MTGGoldfish for a long time and i thunk Tomer's doing a really good job
That was absolutely fantastic Tomer. Thank you so much for this fantastic series.
I missed the first 2 visits to innistrad so thank you so much for this!
That intro was something else!
Amazing job again Tomer, keep these up, as they are very well researched and taught me more about Innistrad that anything else iv read/watched.
Top tier content. 11/10. I literally got goosebumps listening to this.
Please keep doing these. Excellent work Tomer
I started with Dragons of Tarkir but this was the first set I started fully understanding the lore. I ran an eldrazi werewolf deck in SOI and then they made literal eldrazi werewolves in Eldritch Moon
This was pretty amazing. Thank you for doing this video and breaking it all down. I'd love to see more lore videos from you.
Yo I’m drunk off these lore videos. Keep em coming
Incredible work. This was an absolute joy to watch. Thank you for the effort you put into this.
I absolutely love lore videos! I hope that this does well so we can get a lore recap of Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow after they've been released
Fantastic video and lore! I, however, liked better the first video format, with only full arts and the ominous background music, way more immersive than this one where you overlayed multiple cards graphic.
Fantastic job anyways, looking forward to the next episodes!
Dude, that intro was chilling…
These videos have been great keep it up man. Clear on point and the use of the art is amazing! I have been trying to find lore videos and mostly it's people rambling and getting side tracked lol
Yay! Been looking forward to this one since after I watched the regular Innistrad lore video. Good stuff!
Excellent video! Emeracule is still out there eh? I expect a few years before we crack the moon in two.
16:13 I couldn't have put it better myself. Olivia was one of numerous pieces of evidence that proved that. He really deluded himself into believing that Nahiri would forgive and forget from being trapped in the Hell Vault. Maybe she was ambitious, but there's no doubt that she carried resentment toward him just as the large portion of the Vampire community did.
Sorin was his own worst enemy.
Would love to see more of these lore videos
Great video, bringing the story of shadows over innistrad to life!
This was amazing! Great job, and I hope it does well so you can do more!
Love these, you’re an excellent narrator Tomer. Can’t wait for Dominaria/Kamigawa/Phyrexia.
these vids are sick. Would love for them to continue!
I think this is well done Tomer.
Seems like you dug into some synonyms rather than repeat stuff like “creatures of the night” and “forces of darkness / evil” too much. Maybe add some slight pauses between sections.
But again, well done.
loved the content, but seriously, you did a good job narrating it.
Loved that story breakthrough! The opening sequence was really suspenseful, indeed, loved that. Aether Hub just released a video a week or so ago about the same thing. glad to see what he missed and what you added. but love both videos.
thank you so much for your effort ,
I loved how you told this amazing story!!!!
tell us the story of Arlinn Kord next time!
Really loved this video Tomer. Thanks for making it!!
this was vert well put together! loved it
That was great, hope to get more "Tomer Files"
Dude, Tomer. Great job man.
I’m rewriting this story into a book an a saga I really hope it goes well sn I also hope I don’t upset any ogs bc of the changes I make.
I love the Gideon Erasure of the gatewatch... some cards shown but no actual mention of how he helped.
He punched the eldrazi drones really hard.
@@MTGGoldfishCommander that he did. Chad be chaddin,'
The intro is better that the promotional trailer!
Love this, Tomer! More, please!!!
Great work, Tomer.
Tamiyo’s involvement makes me wonder if she will continue to play a role in Innistrad and if it’s related to the return to Kamigawa.
Please never stop doing these
This was amazing Tomer, I can't wait for more
The intro was sick tomer
That intro music reminds me of the intro to Anthrax's Sound of White Noise.
Good god that intro, 10/10
Great video, had me hooked the entire time.
I love these videos and I hope you will make more! Great job, Tomer
Well done Tomer!
this is an incredible video! Very cool, i hope there wil be more videos like this in the future!
