I really liked how Tomer used the art to help tell the story.
Yea Tomer use of art and music was excellent! Really well made.
I agree! What better way to backdrop the storytelling with art from the sets? I would watch every one of these lore videos
Liliana had the most difficult task ahead of her: destroying an artifact while being a mono-B Planeswalker.
Tomer dropping out of Commander Clash to focus on lore videos is a glow up for me. I KNOW Mirrodin is on your short list, and I can’t wait for it.
Good vídeo Tomer!
Tomer: There's nothing a werewolf hates-----
Me: S T OP
But it’s the symbol of her church
He said the thing! He said the thing!
It’s such a clean reference
@@lordmeep5803 I mean as clean as that Abrasive Piece of writing can be
Absolutely adored this. Always loved Avacyn as a character but never had the time to learn the lore. This was perfect.
Now make Seth listen to the video and try and retell it
Lolll
Please make Seth do this but with only 30min to memorise the script and he has to do it from memory..
I can already hear the “Okay, so basically…”
@@KiuhKobold : I want the Mtg lore "according to Seth" version..
@@richardadams429 OH! Sorry for the misunderstood! Didn't mean it, sorry. It was rude of me .w.
@@KiuhKobold : now I'm confused 😀. You did nothing wrong my friend. Maybe I misunderstood myself ? Don't worry about it!
Have a good day/night!
seems like Drunk History MTG edition
Thanks for this video Tomer. Would love to see more lore / D&D related content from you!
Tomer must be a necromancer, because everytime he says Thrah-bin instead of Thray-ben I die a little
MTGGOLDFISH lore channel with Tomer at the helm would be cool. Maybe a new dnd show as well with guest players.
Would definitely love to see more content like this! Excited to see you cover the next part of Innistrad’s story.
Woah Long form Tomer content…freaking awesome.
I miss having a real transparent story. It's what made me fall in love with magic in the first place. Loved hearing about this one again.
We played Tomers "Army of the Damned" Innistrad DnD Adventure and it was an absolute blast! Right now we're into Session 38 of Season 2 aiming for even more Sessions. Innistrad is such a gift!
Lore of Innistrad: *A LOT of stuff happened*
I absolutely love the interaction between the different flights of angels and Avacyn. It’s so cool that they’re transfixed by her because she appears to be an angel but doesn’t smell like one and puts out a weird anomalous aura. Angel flavor text for the win!
This is such a good length of content to learn about a plane. Don't need to pour over hours of published stories, but gives just enough detail. Great work!
Awesome video. Would love to see more mtg lore content.
i must have listened to this story countless times but i still cant wait for part 2
This was awesome, please make these a regular thing!! It's so hard to find good lore.
This was actually really interesting. It's a little weird to do this on the commander channel, but I had a great time listening.
I've always loved innistrad but I only learned some of the lore as it pertains to the Planeswalkers. Thank you!! 💜
I love how each plane has its own lore in magic
This is awesome, I love the lore of magic but only understand very little of it. Please bring more of this!
This was so good! I already knew a fair amount of this lore but it was still super fun to watch and there was definitely some stuff I didn’t know.
The soothing music, the zoomed in artwork and the relaxing chilled-out voice of Tomer. I'm only 1 minute in and already fell in love with the video! Always wanted to learn more about the Lore of these planes and this seems like the best way personally! Thanks
Great video!
And it’s Crazy how good the story and worldbuilding of original innistrad was! Really looking forward to the next sets!
i think seeing the cards related to the characters or the events in the story would be great to understand the flavour of them
It's awesome to learn some lore about Planes from before I started magic
This was amazing. Can't wait until part 2
Can't wait until part 10! :D
This is a good summary. I didn't start magic until Kaladesh, so this was cool to hear
Other than watching my classmates play their black lotuses on the cement hallway floors during recess, the innistrad block was my first experience with magic. This was so nostalgic for me as well, and it's so well done! You don't need frills (or tic toc dancing) to put out good content. Great job!
I started playing in Innastrad so it's great to people talking about it again!
This was such a great video! I really appreciate that you used art to tell the story. It really help visualizing the entire thing!
Wow, never thought I'd see this coming from Goldfish
This is so cool, keep this coming. Especially for newer players that don’t know the lore at all.
This was fantastic. More please! Would love to see more for older planes but tied into current story events (Innistrad being a good example, or maybe a refresh on the Phyrexians...). Thanks for great content!
Lmao I love the Ancient Grudge reference. They got so redundant with it, it became a meme.
Fantastic video! I know it would eat up more production time, but displaying story-feature cards when you get to their associated events would be a great way to show the story with the game itself.
This type of video is a great change of pace. I'm a sucker for lore and Tomer has a great delivery.
Pretty much the best explanation on the lore I've heard by now. Just told so well. I listened to it as a podcast mostly with headphones but the video itself was just great too with the artworks and stuff. Really enjoyed listening to the story
For your first time doing a lore video i really enjoyed it. Im excited to see the next video and hope to see even more lore videos from you in the future. Thank you and good job!
23:02 Oh, it's quite simple! Mono-Black can't destroy artifacts, so Liliana (of the Veil) used her -6 ability, putting all of Thalia's cathars in one pile, and the Helvault in the other.
Super glad that you're still putting out content, Tomer. I was worried we wouldn't see you at all after you taking a break from Commander Clash
Tomer, I was completely interested the entire time. Love the editing and the flow and tone of the story telling. Yes give us More!
9:44 He did! The absolute madman actually did it!
Great job! I loved the use of the artwork from the cards. Honestly, the only critique I can think of is that it would have been nice to hear even more details about the different key players, if more information exists. If anything, you can go more in depth! Such a great video that I'm bummed it's already over.
Stoked for part two!
Great video. Was sceptical about Goldfish meddling into vorthos, but you exceeded expectations. You certainly improved your editing skills.
What I missed the most was at least a mention of the Garruk subplot.
This was very well done, and I really appreciate the time and effort put into this. I’ve kept up with MTGGoldfish for many years, and I know how much you love the lore. I’ve been a huge fan of it, myself. That being said, you missed two key things that you may want to go over in the next video:
Before avacyn, you had the four sisters. Sigarda, Bruna, Gisela, and Liesa. Obviously you can explain their roles, the fall of Liesa to Avacyn, and Gisela’s immediate devotion to Avacyn afterward that leads to her and Bruna’s eventual fate.
The second is harder to follow up on, but basically you never touched on the Cursemute. While this basically was only concerning to Garruk for the longterm, it actually plays a pretty important role in the werewolf side of things, and also is something that becomes affected by Avacyn’s madness in Shadows.
Just two things I noticed, Tomer. Thanks again for the great content!
I love how you’re doing this Tomer. I always found it hard to follow lore videos like those from Aether Hub as they tend to just rush the story. I would love to see you cover lore from Zendikar, Ravnica, Phyrexia and the world of Dominaria and Kamigawa before the set releases.
Thank you and nicely done. We are running an Innestrad adventure for DND. Set after Sorin puts down Avecyn. Very helpful background.
Innistrad and its lore would make an excellent long form tv show
Oh please let this turn into a series
Please keep these going! Miss you on Commander Clash even though it's only been one episode!!
Love it. Thanks for all of this! I would love it if in future videos you'd make some reference to where this information could be found. I've read all off the MTG-Story articles, but didn't know most of this, and I'd love to know where to go to read the rest in full!
Love it really happy that you make Lore videos!
This was awesome Tomer! Thank you!
This was amazing. We need more man!
Great job! Definitely would want to see more!
This is an awesome video!
This video got me so much more excited for this set. Great job man!
Loved it! Helped so much with providing story behind cards and flavor I didn’t know I wanted so much!
Awesome video, learning magic lore is so convoluted, having this is so helpful. Can’t wait for the next one, amazing work!!
Can’t wait for more! That was really well done.
I really enjoyed this! Well done! Using the art the way you did was perfect!
Fantastic job Tomer! This just got me interested in following more of mtg lores. Displaying full art images and the background music makes it so immersive. Can't wait for part 2!
Fantastic. Very well done, bravo. I loved the detailed history
Absolutely loved this video and I hope you'll continue to do lore videos for other planes in the future!
Cant wait for the next episode! Great work!
A really good first lore video Tomer, absolutely loved it. All the lore is spot on though would have loved for you to cover the Avacyns sister angels including the one she killed.
Excellent work Tomer! More lore videos like this would be great!
Very well done, Tomer! I would love to hear more lore and set stories!
Loved your telling of the story! Great audio length too
Please do more of these! I love this!
Definitely would be into seeing more of the lore videos!
Hey Tomer, just wanted to say this video is delighful and hearing such interesting and important lore from a known channel is surprising but exciting, thank you!
Awesome! I can't wait for part two!
I really liked this! I've completely failed at keeping up with the magic lore and this was just so good! Can't wait for the next one and PLEASE do some other planes!
Please do more. I absolutely loved this.
This was great! Cant wait to hear part two
Looking forward for more lore episode...amazing job
Nice job Tomer. You should definitely do more of these, thanks.
Love to see you do more lore content!
Great video Tomer! Please keep these going!
Great Job Tomer! You just nailed it!
This was awesome. More please!
Great job can't wait for more!
that was great. didnt know much about iniistrad before , but what a great plane
Tomer, this was such a good video! The first Innistrad was one of my first sets but I didn’t get into the lore very much so I loved having it explained here.
This video was well made and very enjoyable! Looking forward to more!
That was great and I'd love to see more!
This was a gorgeous video. Thankyou 🙏
this video is incredibly great. please continue them!
Yes. This. More of this please. Awesome work.
Love the lore of Innistrad so much, thanks!
You should totally do a new series of videos about lore! It's so interesting!!!
Wow, great job Tomer this was awesome!
This was wonderful Tomer. Please do more.
Great video! Can't wait for the Mirrodin Besieged block one (or original Zendikar, or ...) :P
Okay this was amazing. Tomer we need Shadows over Innistrad done before the next set!
I can't wait for more lore videos like this!
Sweet vid! I really love the lore explanation! Please do more! Looking forward to part 2.
As a side note if u cited some of the canon lore articles that they made that would be sweet. You would be remiss to not mention the letters between Gisa and Geralf, they are my fav magic flavor of all time.
This video is sick, very excited for more lore
