Not a fan what Ducati is doing lately. They are pricing themselves out of the market of real riders, even in Panigale and Multistrada bikes. They are loosing the plot on many levels and enter an exclusive market rather than the rider market that used to have to tame the beasts with passion and skill. Get back to your roots, Ducati! We want to ride the bikes but don’t want to sell our kidneys for them. I owned 3 different models in the last 7 years and am now switching to BMW for a s1000rr 2023. I miss owning a Ducati but want some savings in my account to enjoy my riding adventures on the road and on track. Nuf said.
They are just trying to catch up to Kawasaki's H2R price point 😅
I kind of agree with you, but I think when it comes to these Lamborghini collaborations they’re really just trying to sell these as a matching set. They’re limited edition combos. Why would you buy the car without the bike? I also think this kind of misses the mark. Not all drivers ride too. That said, I think some collectors would buy the bike simply to have the set… even if it just sits next to the car in the garage.
@@WhoopsWrongButton indeed a sad ending for a SFV4 which is an amazing ride only to stand as a trophy. On the road or on track an absolute amazing piece of equipment and it should be ridden like a maniac it has been made for.
Since VW group bought Ducati, their sales have been going from strength to strength. And that is the reason that we are getting lots of new, great quality Ducatis. They ain’t cheap, but they are finally good.
I think they still have a good range going on. Look at it this way, how much better is a Panigale V2 than the old 996 from the late 90's? I believe that bike, in pre-2000's dollars, was about 16k. The new one is about 2k more, arguably less money factoring inflation.

I’m thinking the Öhlins electronic suspension that detects how the bike is being ridden frequently realises that the rider is rich but clueless 😉

Good way for the Audi group to fleece people with more money than sense, it'll perform no different to a standard v4s and it's not as pretty with that paint job. I find the link ups pointless, I see zero relevance between a Ducati with their image of light, classy looking sporty bikes with a bit of flair and Lamborghini with their brash mega HP cars other than the fact Audi own them both. If I was to think of the car manufacturer comparable to Ducati, Ferrari would immediately spring into my head. £26000 more than a v4sp thats some pretty expensive paint and a bit of carbon fibre...

its not a bargain, i think both are alright deals since cars are more safe, with more comfort and features and more cornering capability and whatnot

Such a funny statement to me considering most of these "fools" are self-made millionaires. They'll just hustle up and make the money right back 10-fold. Seems really foolish to me. Not to mention that it's an investment piece that will most likely immediately appreciate at a higher dollar amount than the difference between this and a standard V4 S. What a stupid and foolish thing to do..... 🤷♂

Well knowing the last Lamborghini collaboration bike was sold for something like $36k and immediately went into resale value of $125k it doesn’t surprise me Ducati realized they missed out on a very large chunk of change. This bike will also soar right up to over $100k. Absolutely a great investment piece. I am sure ever big luxury vehicle flipping investor will be clawing at the dealer for this bike. It also looks unbelievably stunning. Funny the Lamborghini influence makes their bikes look so much better, they should just bring that design team in on the standard Panigale V4 SP or Streetfighter SP or even the base models. Give the typical Ducati customer the option for premium carbon fiber and ultra premium paint codes. If they designed a Panigale SP2 around this same STO with similar tweaks I would imagine it would have been the most beautiful Ducati ever made. I do like the change from the typical red/black or typical motorcycle style decals Ducati has always used. Ducati should take note from this bike and bring some of the eye grabbing exotic paint codes commonly found from every Italian exotic manufacturer and bring them to the lineups. I would much rather purchase a color combo like this when paying over $35-40k for a motorcycle that is meant to perform excellent and look even better.

You cannot get away from the fact it is a lovely looking bike and at £55k, so it should be.
But I have to say, for special edition bikes, I do think the MV Augusta Brutale 800RR Hamilton Edition takes some beating. I do enjoy your vids, keep them coming. Gee.

Exactly same specs and design, except they can custom made the colors instead of the green. Price not revealed but sure even more crazy than the Lambo “standard” edition.

I think “justification” should not be used when looking at these limited editions ..you hit it when you basically said they will be put on a pedestal in a mansion or display garage . I don’t hate on them and good luck to Ducati or any other manufacturer selling extra units even if they will likely never be seen by mortals, and don’t forget it’s all about press exposure as well and getting people to talk about the brand , maybe even wallpaper for your computer screen , the Triumph Thruxton TFC is still my fave !! , and sadly us mere mortals have no concept of these amounts of money as no one ordering one is going to get it on PCP

The only drawback here is that it 2x the cost of a Streetfighter V4SP. For a collector model and the price tag it carries, i will think 10X over to purchase or even reserve one.

Just buy the Streetfighter V4S and spec it similarly to the Lamborghini edition (add carbon fibre components and akrapovic exhaust). And voila! You've got yourselves a similar bike without the Lamborghini price

Yeah it is a spectacle 😀, and since I am not paying I do not mind the price tag. In fact I say let them pay! Especially the 63 "special clients" who clearly do not experience the real world problems 😄 so why not. If nothing else, it makes a good video and design cues for aftermarket parts manufacturers.

That is around 65k Euros!! That is just unfair priced!!!! Even the SF SP is around 41k in Austria brand new. The stuff that's on the SP is pretty much the same as the the one on the lamborghini. The only thing ist the special livery and carbon parts.

Very cool paint scheme. Ducati…the Rolex of motorcycles…pricing themselves out of the real enthusiast market. Sure, they will sell all models, but mostly to people who want the stigma of luxury - many of which are not real riders.

Have owed multiple ducatis, and used to be a Ducati fan boy. But now, no, and that’s despite the fact that ducatis are more rideable now. Why? First, none of the Ducati bikes are for hardcore riders who judge a motorcycle by its merit. Ducati is more for people who have Ducati fetish. Second, the pricing is not predatory, but the servicing. It’s a total harassment to wait for parts to arrive, and I tell you what high performance machines break more than your Honda club. Third, Ducatis are moving towards premium-ness rather than being fun. Motorcycles are fun, on top of being mode transport in many nations. A two wheeler has a lower price ceiling than super car brands, and at one point, with these kind of pricing, they will alienate ducatistis more. I won’t take the sfv4 even if I were a collector, because a collector never pays premium carbon stuff or paint job. I’m a collector, and I paid 50grand US for NC30 and also owe an H2. Now these are legendary immortal bikes not because of their paint job or carbons. If a collector buys this Ducati, or in fact any Ducati, he isn’t a collector.

It’s like a Bugatti model named Pagani , Rolex model named Patek, Kiton suit named Brioni and so forth ( for me personally degrades the brand value for both brands ) ..
