I bought these a month ago for my wife's car. For two days we both struggled to get this things to click into place. We tried everything we could, and tugged on it as hard as we could without damaging the wiper. We both got pissed off and decided to return it later. Today, I decided to try one more time before we returned it, so I went back out to her car, did everything exactly as I had done before, and they snapped right on with no issue.
They are great wipers, but I am blaming you, Rain-X, for whatever black magic hex was preventing them from being installed easily when we initially bought them.

Hahaha it's def black magic. But I leveled it with the blade itself and pulled the hook into it, I heard the click!! Took watching the video prolly 3 times to figure it out

Mine doesn't even have all these pieces. Now I have to go back to the store. Poor quality control. Don't buy these.

Ok, the RainX blades are good, but the install SUCKS for the large J hook and no mater how hard I tried I could NOT get the locking clip to "click"- soooo, I took out my trusty Dremel and filed down (ever so slightly) the edge where the J hook fits in and Shazam we have a great fit and the locking clip clicks now. Still a pain in the ass but usually there is always a work-a-round. Just my 2-cents.

I think this video is old, mine just had a universal adapter. I struggled to get it to securely clasp after fitting the j hook in. I had to wrestle with it a little, but at just the right angle I was able to get the j hook to click into adapter and sit more flush, then the clasp snapped on tight. Hope that helps!

My Rain X Wipers has two holes on both sides - so what in hell are you talking about?

I can’t remove the wiper blade. Will never buy this product again. Why would they make it so difficult for dummies like me. I have a fresh set of wiper blades I can’t install until I remove the rain x one. Now I will now have to pay someone to do it.

Don’t even change out the adaptor. It was driving me nuts trying to use the universal one. Just take off your old blades and these new ones will clip right in. Don’t use the universal one cause it didn’t fit mine at least

Yeah. I m not using any universal adapted. Its optional rite?

Rain X, for the love of God please stop saying just pull and pull more if I wasn't educated I would've broke the mount or worst the car. The locking mech depends on the angle of the mount when you're pulling. Please update your instructions.
For those who had trouble with this, detach the J hook mount from the blade and just mount the mount. You'll see where the click come from. Peek into the hole you'll see it depends on the angle. Hope this help someone omg I was standing - 15C windchill for half an hour.

@@OfficialRainX confirmed latitude. Not the water repellency. Got it from home depot in Toronto. Btw I love your wipers just that the lack of angle info made me very sad. But damn great wipers guys well done.

The tab side of the connector isn't the side that the hook goes through!! The other side is the one you need to put the hook through.
    You're welcome

My Rain-X wipers keep falling off while driving!! Its been like 6 times already, no one thats tried to put them on has gotten them to stay. They're crap and I'm going to buy a different brand so they'll actually stay on where I can use them when needed!

I found the solution when it wont click. Once you place a J hook on the wiper and u tried to click in. It will not click. Ther are actually 2 clicks you gotta hear. The first its when u place the j hook you gotta pull it up and hear a click. Then the cliper will click and thats ur second click. Rain x doesn’t mention this step

1: New versions of these blades have a universal adapter installed by default. So no need to do anything special for J Hooks
    2. For people struggling to get the tab to click during installation: There is a very simple trick that for some reason literally nobody mentions anywhere.. When you slide the J Hook into the blade, give the wiper blade a very firm tug upwards. If you pull hard enough, you will notice the J Hook being ever so slightly further seated inside of the adapter on the blade and it will allow you to click the tab down.

yeah this video sucks , mine is nothing like this. the hook fits but the arm can't set as the back of the housing has a bump that prevents a full install. What a waste of money.

I will NEVER buy any rain x product again spent over 30 dollars on the endura and the adapter doesn't stay in or click at all on a j hook the instructions are wrong for jhooks. Buy Michelin or literally any other brand

THIS IS THE DUMBEST DESIGN FOR END-USERS!!
There are no obvious model numbers on the packaging, the instructions inside have no written instructions or limited written instructions, but they have lots of pictures. (Btw if you’re going to color code parts in the instructions, maybe you should color code them on the actual product as well). Unfortunately, the pictures don’t show every part or how much pressure you’re supposed to put on parts. I’ve replaced probably a dozen wiper blades in my life and this is by far the hardest one I’ve ever had to do. I’m a woman, I have weaker hands the most men; I get that and I’m not so woke that I can’t admit it. But I am a diy-er, I have a carpentry degree as well as a bachelors degree in science and lots of other training in other areas, and I’ve fixed most things in my house. This shouldn’t be so freaking hard.
I can’t see anything inside the plastic molding, so I can’t tell whether it’s supposed to come off or stay on. If you work with these every day absolutely it should be no problem but if this is your first time working with this type of wiper blade, maybe you should make the instructions a little more clear. Also, they had a QR code on the package for instructions, but when I scanned it and went to the website, it told me sorry this is a private video and I can’t watch it. I have a paid UA-cam account. I shouldn’t have had any problem getting into a UA-cam video. I even turned off my VPN and tried it again and no it didn’t work.
I don’t usually write this long of a complaint, or even that many complaints, but this was incredibly frustrating. And I am a fan of Rain-X products. Usually.
