Yes we love to watch the people fishing and get to see some baby sharks caught , it's peaceful on the pier, thanks for the paw story and this video God Bless
That sure is beautiful there. The sunset and the water. Love how isolated that beach is. Your footage is amazing. Thanks for sharing your beach adventure with us. The dogs look like they were really having a great time as well.
Yes, this was previously a bit of a difficult part of the area to access, given the very limited parking. The 2 new parking lots have made it much easier, and probably will make it more crowded, eventually. But it is a very beautiful area, and an excellent place to let pets enjoy the beach. Thanks for watching!
We've never been to Cherry Grove except to drive through once years ago. I'm trying after having watched this series of videos from your trip, to talk my husband into trying it out. He's a S. Myrtle Beach guy. He was in the Air Force so likes to be near the airport to watch the planes. Thanks for these great videos!
You are very welcome. Glad you enjoy them. I guess I can understand him wanting to be near the airport, with his military background. We appreciate his service. We prefer North Myrtle beach, because it's a bit more laid back and not as congested, and doesn't have quite the party atmosphere that Myrtle Beach has.
@NCMemoryMakers in years past we would go to South Myrtle in the off season with very little traffic and actually have had a whole floor of the hotel to ourselves on more than one occasion. Those days are gone! Too much going on all the time now.
In 1982 I got the worst sunburn I’ve ever had. Our family went to Myrtle Beach for a few days. Me and my brother drove down in my 1981 mustang with the moon roof out, and as soon as we arrived at unloaded our suitcases in the motel room. We hit Cherry Grove pier with a vengeance! My brother used sunscreen but I thought I was too cool for that and I didn’t feel hot although he offered it to me. At the end of the day, I was as red as I fresh cooked lobster!!! When we got back to Asheville, I went to the doctor and found out that I had sun poisoning!! Not a good time!! Thanks for another great video!!!
Thank you for watching. Shawnasi experienced a sunburn like that, 3 years ago in Flagler Beach, FL. It was cloudy and overcast on the beach, and she went out there and fell asleep. A few hours later...
awesome video, wow so want to be there. thanks for showing the amazing things of cherry grove. from the fishing to the beach to the area itself. doesn't get much better then this. so awesome.
So very sorry to hear that. Our oldest is 15. Still doing good, and not looking forward to that day. We've already lost one in 2019, and I'm still not over him yet.
Glad you get to enjoy the area every day. It takes us about 4 1/2 to 5 hours to get there. We love living near the mountains, as well. But we also love the ocean.
@@NCMemoryMakers I'm a beach bum, but also enjoy the mountains. We've been to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and actually found your channel when researching the area. Then to top it off, I saw you visited here and siesta key. We go to spring training there. You have great tastes is destinations.
If you're still coming back around memorial day, you should check out a myrtle beach pelicans baseball game even if you're not a baseball fan. I work there and it's always enjoyable. Could make good video. Unfortunately we have to move our son to Cincinnati that weekend for a job. Hopefully one day we can meet you when you visit here.
Nothing like a walk on the beach! Glad the dogs liked it too. I'm not sure if i've ever been too Cherry Grove before? My oldest brother , that is gone now, his first wife's mom and dad had a beach house there back when i was still a kid. Not sure if the family still have it or not? Great story about the purple tag on your fishing pole!
Yes, I've left that on there for 5 years, because I thought it was a great reminder, that they used one with dog paw prints the very year that he made his last trip with us.
Hey y’all,, just watched y’all’s pier video, wanted to see ya haul in a big flounder 😀,, but did notice the sunset, if you look between those buildings, in the sunset looked like a cross in the middle of them??? Maybe not,,, maybe so!
Right, I knew it wasn't a new pier. At first, I said in the video that I thought it might be them pulling sand up onto the beach as a reverse renourishment project. Then, I put a text on there saying I had heard that it had to do with storm water. I never once thought it was a pier. I read on Facebook when I got home, that it was stormwater drainage.
Since my mom and dad used to want to go to Cherry Grove all the time when we lived in North Carolina because we’re from North Carolina, but then when they moved up here to Michigan and they wanted to go back to Cherry Grove because they thought it was better than Myrtle Beach at that timeback in the late 60s
I would have to agree with them. We like Cherry Grove better than South Myrtle Beach, as well. A lot more laid back and a lot quieter. But still plenty to do.
Hey there. We are watching this video right now. Love the story of the paw bracelet. Sorry for your loss. We had to put our baby yorkie down back in March. Is there a way we can get in touch with yall to inquire about yorkies. We are wanting to get another one but having a hard time finding a breeder. We are one county over from yall. Thanks and enjoy your time
So very sorry for your loss, as well. We have honestly never gotten a Yorkie from a breeder, so we don't really know any. Pierre was a rescue, sort of. He showed up at my dad's house, and no one ever claimed him. We eventually did find out that he came from a breeder, but due to his deformity, we do not know if he was actually used as a breed dog, or if perhaps that is what caused the deformity...being in a cage. We had him for over 6 years, and he was estimated to be 15 yrs old at his passing. Our first Yorkie, the one that is now 15, she found when someone was advertising that they needed to find a home for a Yorkie puppy that they couldn't keep. Some of those are scams, but this one was legit. Our other Yorkie that we have now, was also a rescue from Nashville, TN. I honestly do not know of any breeders in the area, but I'm sure there are some. Our son did get his from a breeder in Gastonia, but that was back in 2017. I'll ask if he remembers who it was.

That little dog is doing fantastic for being 15 years old!! He actually looked faster than the younger dog!! Yorkies are so precious!!
He actually does have more energy than the younger one. We hope to have him several more years.
Thanks for watching!
So happy we found your channel! We are enjoying your reviews and watching your sweet pups play on the beach🥰

We stayed at the Carolinian on N Ocean several times. Never venture out to this area. Beautiful and the water color is much nicer.

I didn't notice that. I'll have to go back and watch it. I'd like to haul in a flounder, myself.
North Myrtle Beach is installing stormwater pipes that extend out into the ocean. It's not a new pier.
Right, I knew it wasn't a new pier.

Gotta check out the pier because love fishing n the salt-life ..
Yes, it is a great pier. I have a lot of fond memories on it. I'll be so glad when the reconstruction is completed.

Yes, North Myrtle Beach.
lol on the bird trying to steal some food.
Yes, they are bad for that. I guess they have to eat, too. But the minute you turn your back on your bait, they will take it.
