Damn shame that you allowed them to design a new skybox, but then decided to scrap theirs for another green skybox. It looks great! But it would've actually been fun to have a map with a unique skybox. Makes them more visually interesting. Regardless, another awesome-looking addition to the map pool, though I do think you missed the mark on finding the perfect balance between their vibrant proposal, and the muted look of the already-existing maps.
I agree, although it I do feel it’s important to note that the skybox they chose is an extremely popular free asset, and I’d probably change it too in order to make the game feel less asset-flip like. but I think their color choice should’ve been kept since it adds to the aesthetic of the map
I got some game ideas 1: add some physics to the boxes and barrels 2: add some game abilities so it isn’t just grapple and weapons and it’ll be more fun :D
I feel like the skybox gave the map so much personality and you just remove it , if you worry about maps looking different you can just make a new community map section
Another great video from the man Zoteling himself, but I really think you should stop trying to make the maps look the same, I think the more colorful and vibrant look of FatBoi's and Kevin's map was way cooler and prettier than the classic look. Not modifying the look of player-built maps would diversify the map selection and make it more interesting, because currently it's like if CS:GO made all the maps look like Dust II
