You only do that when you don't drive long journeys. If you potter about the town a few mile here and a few mile there. That's not enough to blow the shit out of the dpf so you need to give it a rip down motorway.
Aye mate that's what I was doing... tbh I can feel the power difference straight away like ... just makes me cringe 4000rpm and watching the feul gauge drop like a mofo 🤣🤣🤣
@@itschriss1688 well what your doing really is force regening the the dpf. When the dpf regens it uses loads more fuel as it has to heat the dpf up so it's able to burn off the soot. Remove the dpf and egr and map it out all together straight pipe it and you'd see a massive difference in power.
@@Getoffmylawn9 yes but you can take the DPF off and take out the contents refit the DPF and get it mapped out via software. No MOT place can remove any part from your vehicle. If they see that the DPF has been tampered with they will fail your MOT so you need someone who can split it and make it look like it's not been messed with. They can't tell if the DPF has been messed with if the jobs done properly. And yes it still passes emissions because the DPF is there to catch soot particles nothing else.
I use Archoil fuel system cleaner. It cleans injectors, turbo and dpf filters the whole system. I just take it for a rip for a good hour or so on the freeway at high speeds and the regen frequency is reduced after that
@@truth.hurts... I got it removed and I had no lights on it at all you just have to make sure it’s not seen on the mot, after I did get a map put on. As I got a 316d so wanted the 180 bhp
@@truth.hurts... I’d say go get it done at the same place. it was about £500 all in for the map and the removal I also got a egr delete, they if your cars dpf is messing up they also recommend a service.
I drive mine like a race car so I don’t have that issue 😅
so if u do this check your turbo frequently maybe cannot keep these high temperature a lot
Your mechanic was right.. because once the DPF gets blocked go and buy New car😂😂😂😂
This is not needed with then f series, just the e series, drive at 60km around 2000 rpm for 15 mins, it will clean the filter for you
You are very right have never had any issue with my 320d f30
Ive got a 520d f10 dpf blocked took it for a good run in motorway 20 min the power came back
@henrikecskemet aye I didn't say it couldn't be done, just not needed if treated like a diesel (long journeys)

@@eyeopener1993wouldn't removing the dpf be an MOT failure?

Poor sod. Here we are in England. We have the most extraordinary language on Earth and this is the best "Chris" can do? Sad.

I've just bought that for my Honda- CRV. But I'm worried it won't work. Car is in limp mode 35mph
I use that stuff but still getting frwuejtvregejs I'm pissed off tbh
You will kill the car with those additives see fuel cap it even prohibits that
Charge a set fee over the phone maybe? Do it on the old card machine to pay for your time
Then it gets plugged and you pay way more than the cost of diesel to fix numpty.
Lose the MAP , Lose the Problem.. Simple.
How do you do that? Cheers
Map ?.
Dont buy a diesel then
Lol blocked one’s are way more expensive to clean than £30
I'd remove the bloody thing.
Pour some waaee or tea in it m8 should bloody fix🤓
I tried on my Jaguar XJ a few times to unblock the Dpf on a motorway but still didn’t work out
Probably the dpf is full completely !!!
How do you know your bmw 120d 2014 dpf is blocked
