Hallo Fred, I watch all of your Films with enthusiasm and joy. Here in Germany I fly my rounds with a Storch (flysynthesis) with a Rotax 582. I don't have the time for tours like you do. But you are a role model for me. I thank you. My name is Peter
Thank you Peter! Nice to hear that you like my films - even the long ones... I really don’t see myself as a role model but If I can provide some inspiration to other pilots I feel I have succeeded. The Storch is a great machine, you could do really nice trips with it!
This one was on the music list for the takeoff from Cassagnes at the end of the film but didn’t make the final cut ua-cam.com/video/Io3F-N87IUg/v-deo.html
Thank you Spike, glad you like my films! And yes, it is a great way to see the beautiful country. Don’t miss my films from the alps, including Mont Blanc!

Awesome Fred... Loved the Ocean view, the art of flipping bread, the feather touch landing, disappearing in the clouds... just to name some of the moments...

Hi Fred! Another good video from the trip. I watched the movie twice in a row! Very nice details. Storage space for canisters, cameras including stabilization, Pilsner beer, one stick and one pedal, which made more space for boxes, baked bread in a pan, still a white shirt, Kievprop ... and so on and so forth ... I like yours movies Frede! I was already looking at the route I would take to follow you on my plane. It's a long way ... but that's why it's a challenge. Great! Thank you once again. Cyril from Avidgroup...
Thanks Cyril! Glad you liked it. I like your comments! The right seat pedals are still there behind the box (bolted to the floor and replaced with a ski shoe holder in the winter...), the stick is removable with just a push pin. Fly safer, hope to meet you soon on an altisurface somewhere...

Thanks - a very encouraging comment! Yes... it is not the standard 8 minutes UA-cam talking heads video so I’m always surprised when someone sees a long one to the end... The little jet I locked on to in Marmande is a MicroJet 200. A french trainer that turned out to have some really bad flight characteristics in some situation and was rapidly abandoned. You see 2 of them in the film and I think they said they had a 3rd in a crate. With only 4 built, including the prototype, that is an almost complete collection... The article here says it was abandoned due to lack of interest but the guys at Marmande said it was dangerous. A true curiosity in any case. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microjet_200
Thanks Thierry! I’ll be happy to come back to Gap. About the tailwheel I have now changed for a electric scooter wheel (26€ at Amazon) that is more reliable... The Matco wheel has a too low profile and is known to be bad...
