I really hope 200 years from now, people in the future listen to our versions of great classical music like this the way we listen to Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Bach and say the names Williams, Shore, Zimmer the way we say those other men's names.
They will my friend.
I'm sure they will. If there's anyone left.
They'll say also Howard shore and the score for the timeless Lord of the rings
In 200 years there will be no humans left judging by the state of world affairs currently. Best thing is to leave it to the cockroaches to start over and evolve into a less warlike species to develop and nuture this wonderful and rare blue planet.
Oh yeah. They will. Basically, if Mozart were born on our time, he would compose music for movies. We are watching the same old talent wearing clothes from this century.
The flute part in the middle always gives me goosebumps
i literally cried, this is too beautiful for this world
Anyone else become incredibly emotional at this or is it just me?
Truly Touches the heart mate, Personally makes me reflect on life how many years have past how many lives have come how many have gone This song is home to me Of when life was stress free and no worries Brings me Back home each Time.. Truly the greatest theme to exsist, Godbless.
Na me too it has the power to move you emotionally. Headwigs theme has the same effect as well probably not as much as this though
Always, my friend
For me it creates the emotion of having been through a lot, and still having love in your heart at the end of it.
Oh, yeah. Tears flow.
I could easily spend the rest of my life listening to Howard Shore's beautiful Lord of the Rings music 24 hours a day. Heavenly.
The battle at Helms deep would satisfy me for a thouisand yrars on loop on UA-cam.
Me, too!
Riders of Rohan.
1:32 instant goosebumps every time. Gosh, Howard Shore is a genius. A truly beautiful soundtrack for equally gorgeous films.
Mr Tolkein must be so proud that Mr Jackson and his wonderful team turned the unfilmable LOTR into a visual and auditory masterpirce. Thank you Mr Peter Jackson that I was privilleged to watch them all on the cinema. It was a wonderful 3 years I will never forget.
I’m not sure he would tbh he probably would have hated it lol 😅
I liked the films before I read the books now I don’t like them much because they didn’t use the archaic language as much the modernised it and some of the things they changed or didn’t include were things that made the books so great. They turned something that was primarily linguistic in nature into a modern action movie and that’s not really what lotr was supposed to be
My guess is he would’ve disliked it, his son certainly did.
Tolkiens children have expressed that he would’ve have hated the films, unfortunately.
He may not like the movies
He would most certainly hated the language they used
But
But
He most definately would have loved the music
Timeless music for a timeless trilogy of films. I don’t know if even Tolkien could imagine how many people lives have been touched by his work
I'd love to think that Tolkien would absoluely approve
He's a proud master
@@DiRTemma His son said that his father would have probably disliked the triology but Christian himself loves it.
That being said I think he would have been swayed by the passion of Peter Jackson and howard and would have absolutly agreed with the musical depiction.
He did know that he made something great with his Legendarium but I think he would also be suprised just how much of an influence his work has truly become.
To this extent I sent another thank you to Tolkiens family and their passion to let their fathers and grandfathers work live on!
The way the Hobbit theme on flute always comes out the massive grand sequences really mirror the plot of the books. Incredible music
The hobbit music is my favorite part of it!
This chokes me up every time I hear it. Everyone needs a friend like Samwise Gamgee.
Humanity gets lots of things wrong before we ever figure it out but one thing that we got right is music. I love all of it.
This left me speechless and in tears. So beautiful.
A flawless performance! Thank you Howard Shore for these musical masterpieces to some of the greatest films ever made. I would love to hear 'Bridge of Khazadhum' ♥️
this music is not for us mere mortals, it is for the legends of middle earth
This literally brings tears to my eyes
3:20 “We will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death. Not while we have strength left. Leave all that be spared behind. We travel light. Let’s hunt some Orc.”

I've said it before but Howard Shore's score for this trilogy is a monumental achievement. The motifs, the use of Tolkien's constructed languages worked into the chorals. And it's fitting given that the very universe as created by Tolkien was shaped through music.
I never thought of that. How profod and how astonishingly beautiful .
Number one in classic fm movie hall of fame
FINE, i'LL WATCH THE EXTENDED TRILOGY AGAIN
Best musical piece written ever ❤
At this time of age where they have so much advance resources, its amazing that they only come out with horror movies. Nothing can top up to this incredibly made trilogy upto this date
I love, love, love Howard Shore’s gorgeous music! Howard Shore really created the perfect Lord of the Rings magic!
I wish i were a director to conduct something this beautiful
Beautiful score for a beautiful trilogy. Thank you Howard Shore. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Masterpiece. Perfectly played. Awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Bravooooo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It appears that all the people who dismiss classical music only needed the 'program' shown to them visually. It is hoped some of them will explore classical performances that the algorithms on streaming services suggest they audition next. They may like what they hear!
Excellent performance. It is wonderful to see a woman playing the trumpet solo passages. Well done Bournemouth! 🎉
Beyond beautiful x
The most beautiful and emotive soundtrack
This is such a beautiful piece of music
An admirably beautiful performance of a remarkably beautiful composition.
So much of this LOTR music moves me to tears ..emotional !
Beautifully composed, a masterpiece.
What a classic orchestra 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Forever the best track.
القدره على الانتقال السريع بين كل آله مع هذا اللحن العظيم ،يجعلك تتأمل عظمة الموسيقى وعظمة التعاون.
Gets me in the feels this stuff, holding back the tears here. Beautiful piece of music.
If Mozart , Beethoven, Bach and others were alive today they would write music for film, surely today's composers rank among them. Beautiful music.❤
Loved it so much. Had tears in my eyes anytime I listened to this music

I love music. And I love orchestral music. But I always thought the main thing an orchestra does is show us what is possible when a group of 60 or so human beings are all focused on the same wonderful goal.
Não importa quantos anos, décadas, séculos se passam, as canções de Senhor dos Anéis continua sendo uma obra-prima, nunca serão esquecidas, somente aprimoradas ❤🥰
“Breaking of the fellowship” one of the most emotional point and a period they had a rethink on their journey and repledged allegiance to each other
“So do all who wish to see these times, but that’s is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that’s given us”
“I made a Promise Me Frodo, a Promise. Don’t you Samwise Gamgee, and I don’t mean to, I don’t mean to”
Aragorn: Frodo's fate is no longer in our hands.
Gimli: Then it has all been in vain. The fellowship has failed.
Aragorn: Not if we hold true to each other. We will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death. Not while we have strength left. Leave all that can be spared behind. We travel light. Let's hunt some Orc.
Ending out Fellowship 😭
I always think if aliens came to earth, they would see the sky scrapers, see the space shuttles, military aircraft but would almost brush that aside to listen to this.
They should be in all costumes and the set should be of as Minas Tirith. Still amazing
3:16
What is the flute sounding instrument used for the haunting Irish tones
Penny whistle
For frodo😊
lol. Nice
All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you
Sarah Huckaby on cymbals?
John Williams and Hans Zimmer are incredible but I think Howard Shore tops them on the score for Lord of the Rings alone.
Ohh take me outta this horrid world and into the shire
*You know the music is amazing…when you can recite literally EVERY SINGLE QUOTE from the movie as it takes place. “Don’t you leave him Samwise Gamgee…and I don’t mean to…I don’t mean to.”🙏🏼🥹*
