The copied movement is something you can observe once in a while in the perfect moments with animals of the same breed. Specific animals and breeds have specific patterns of movements, if the right conditions are met, you can see them move like clones even tho there is no meaning behind it. They stood in a corner of a pasture and both had the same desire to come trotting to the gate after hearing their owner say a special word (might have been treats, I don't remember) and they both had the thought of needing to turn around and going to their owner, with their trot perfectly in sync.

Your videos have helped me immensely at work. I take care of 10 plus dogs/day at a boarding/day camp facility. We have dogs come in regularly that have behaviour issues after being attacked at dog parks. It’s been incredibly rewarding to be able to gradually introduce them to other dogs(using the observation of behaviour, and pairing them gradually with dogs I know and trust),and watch their confidence grow. There is so much joy in seeing a formerly shy/timid dog begin to engage and play again. And their owners happiness in seeing the changes in behaviour. Dogs are so fascinating. I had an incredible fixed female "non-descript brown dog" that males, neutered and intact just followed and even would try to mount her. She was patient and then would finally say enough to them. And generally they listened to her. One time a group of about 5 males surrounded her and I had to chase them away and rescue her. They didn't like that. Was a bit scary. She really was happier by herself perhaps because of that? I do not know what scent she had. Perhaps she was fixed differently? Some gland left behind? Perhaps it's the same with this female? My girl lived to be over 18. I do miss her. She was independent, self-entertaining, loyal, loving and awesome.
Omg I thought I was the only one- intact male dogs keep trying to breed my FIXED female they follow her around 24 7 and also constantly smell her private areas. When she's fixed. It makes no sense

I wouldn't be surprised if Joel checked simply because Prince was acting as if she was not only unspayed but coming into heat! He was adorable, so totally into her. I've watched a lot of Joel's videos of Prince teaching other dogs to get along with him (and by extension, dogs in general) but he normally seems to take it kind of laid back; it's just his job. This girl was definitely not just a job to him. 💞
I don't even have a dog but I love learning about this style of training. I see SO many dogs that are poorly trained out there. I wish more owners took the time as your clients.
My dog was this shy when I rescued her. The more dogs she made friends with the more reactive she became. So I don't force her anymore and she's happy and more confident.

I have used your techniques and he is a good boy now. We dog park regularly and he has many friends. He was one of my biggest challenges ever regarding training. So true about puppies ... they run up, jump and nip kiss a strange dogs face and do not respect dog protocols. Balto is so good at gently but firmly disciplining them. I can tell they annoy him, but very quickly, they stop doing that to him! Anyway, I love your channel!
I enjoyed this video because Joel is always so keen to get dogs with other dogs and rightly so. It was nice to see him admit that for dogs like this it’s ok to be happy with them being able to pass and exist around other dogs because there is no real benefit to forcing them to socialise.
My doberman is almost 3. She has 4 friends. She's still reactive with all dogs when we are walking. I don't take her to dog parks. I usually have to say leave it beofre we pass a dog. I thought i knew alot about dogs but then i found this channel and its just science, k9 science for the everyday dog owner :D love it! love prince, miss our dobbs.
I once had a female dog who growled at other dogs who she met. But I got her when she was only 6 weeks old and she really thought that was how to greet new potential friends. Of course it didn’t work out for her. The strange dogs gave her a funny look and went away. She did get a dog friend in the end when I bought a puppy (who understood socialising).
My female (8 yr old) does the growling thing as well! We got her out of kinda a weird situation when she was about 3 months old and were told her mom had died when the pups were 4 weeks old. So I figured she just never learned how to interact properly with other dogs.
I lost my Doberman about 6 months ago, so this video was so hard to watch. She was an exact replica of that shy girl. Good news is with a lot of work, she turned into such a confident and beautiful Doberman. She was my "soul dog," that's why it was hard to watch this... Still struggling obviously.
Bruhhh that perfectly synced moment..... that was so strange! But in a good way. Reminds me of that time you showed us Prince running around with his bff doberman from next door and they looked like two graceful horses galloping
I wish you weren't all the way across the pond I'm pretty sure you could have really helped me with my rehomed gsd after she was attacked when I got her but yiur videos did really help me learn alot
In the beginning i had 2 Russian caucasian shepherds. My neighbors left the country and didnt want to take their dog with them which is a Tibetan mastiff, so all they did before they left was just walk onto my property, tie her up on my back yard deck and put a note in her collar. She was so broken hearted and scared when i woke up and saw her, I didnt want to go outside because just touching the door she was flashing teeth at me so I let my first dog Kane go outside, She growled at him at first but he is super determined, he actually army crawled towards her, then i let Manus outside, then i went outside, she growled at first but then Kane got between us and kinda stood up to her and said "Woah. Thats not okay... Dont do anything crazy..." Untied her, Let her run around in the yard with the other dogs and she has been fine ever since. Ive gotten 2 more tibetan mastiffs since then which people surrendered because they couldnt handle them. The girl in this video reminds me of my dog Ai, Super shy, she wants to open up but shes really anxious so it takes time to peel those layers away, Once i saw the tail wag at 4 minutes I knew she was having fun and made a friend.
Synchronization is definitely a thing with animals, they will mimic and copy one another to try and gain trust and approval. Like "look I'm just like you! Don't you want to be friends?" and mated pairs do it to rreaffirm bonds, you see that a lot in birds. Many species mate for life, with the mated pair going their separate ways once their baby has flown the coop. Then they come back together the next year to raise more offspring, and when they meet again for the first time they often perform a synchronized dance together, to get reacquainted and reestablish their bond as a mated pair.
I had 2 quarter horses - gelding and mare different build and size - that I have many pictures of in perfect lock-step when turned loose in an arena to play! so cool to see!
I have a red/rust 10.5 year old Doberman Pinscher named Mia who has always loved other dogs, and still does for the most part. She had a best friend German Shepherd, who grew up with her from a puppy! They were inseparable. Once her turned about 11 months old and outgrew her, he began attacking her for no obvious reason when she attempted to correct his bad behavior, which she had done several times before. It was a sad and terrible situation. Unfortunately, her trust with other dogs has been compromised to say the least. Most dogs she does okay with, except big black dogs, which I know stems from the trauma. Mia is so well-behaved, and is an absolutely amazing Dobie! Needless to say, I had to quit taking her to dog parks due to her defensive nature with big, black dogs. … Prince is such a handsome boy by the way! Dobies are the best!!!
You’ve never seen Dobes play? They do mirror each other, it’s VERY much a thing that they do.. they also do a specific type of gallop as well as a special hop when they’re playing with other Dobes, they go full Deer Mode you could say, best description. This is just another reason why Dobes are such efficient Guard Dogs, one’s bad enough, but when there’s 2 or more, the teamwork is INSANE 😬 Poltergeist action, ‘HOW MANY ARE THERE?!’
I have two littermate Dobes in one of my puppy classes right now (different owners) and they definitely play differently with each other than they do with the other puppies. They gravitate towards each other immediately and will ignore everyone else. They are my first experience with well bred Dobe pups and I am absolutely in love with them. 😍

My dog has a confidence issue, she's a catahoula/lab mix and we got her from the shelter. We've been working with her for the past year, but even now she sometimes sulks around with her head down for no reason and I'm not sure how to fix it.
my dog had a friend he used to play with all the time, he loved her to death and even now when he walks past the old house she lived in her does a pee and has a look in the garden to if she is there and he still knows her name and comes running if you say it.

8:42 Her expression! She kinda acts enthralled with Joel as well!
My female doberman actually steals all the males where ever she goes 😂I don’t no what it is but the males go nuts for her and she full on teases them all 😂
I thought i knew alot about dogs but then i found this channel and its just science, k9 science for the everyday dog owner :D love it! love prince, miss our dobbs.
I love that her ears are uncropped and it looks like long "hair." 😂 A shy, feminine princess!
Love her floppy ears! Wish I saw more natural dobermans around.
I love how she has her natural beautiful ears and not cropped
those dogs are all so beautiful
I wish prince (and all dobermans) had lovely ears like her
She's so adorable😍💜🌻
I love these videos man, teaches me a lot
She's a cutie ❤
I lost my Doberman about 6 months ago, so this video was so hard to watch. She was an exact replica of that shy girl. Good news is with a lot of work, she turned into such a confident and beautiful Doberman. She was my "soul dog," that's why it was hard to watch this... Still struggling obviously.
pretty dog. Nice the owner decided to take this step!
The smile on your face before she knelt.....
Bruhhh that perfectly synced moment..... that was so strange! But in a good way.
Reminds me of that time you showed us Prince running around with his bff doberman from next door and they looked like two graceful horses galloping
Good vibes, this Is the nicest video so far. They're so cute together!
"What's her reaction to puppies?"
Her or me LOL hilarious
Prince is like, "what is that intoxicating perfume you're wearing, toots" !?!!?! 😂😂
Her: “no hook ups on first date”
Also her after on first date: 3:12
I’m glad her ears aren’t cut.
Prince cracks me up with all his peeing!
Love the success story's like this and that one gray pit
Awww.... Lovely!
The part when he comes up to the fence, drops his stuff. Then prrances a ltitle bit... My inner monolog was going. "Hey how are you-doing" LOL
I had two female Rottweilers. I have dozens of pictures of them and hundreds of memories where you see them as a mirror image of each other.
I had 2 quarter horses - gelding and mare different build and size - that I have many pictures of in perfect lock-step when turned loose in an arena to play! so cool to see!
Prince is such a Casanova lol
It's was love at 1st sight, Prince was smitten 😍
Awwwww yay! She has her ears still! They really do look cooler with the ears like pits. Glad you were able to help her!
Prince secretly did some NLP sessions. That's where he learned the mirroring technique
this was solid advice. my dog is a shy girl who leans on me at parks. i will allow her to be more independent
😲 WOW
Also, he’ll never forget her. He does meet a lot of dogs, but he doesn’t meet many Dobes
I have two littermate Dobes in one of my puppy classes right now (different owners) and they definitely play differently with each other than they do with the other puppies. They gravitate towards each other immediately and will ignore everyone else. They are my first experience with well bred Dobe pups and I am absolutely in love with them. 😍
Pretty sure he owns another dobe so idk what you or codenoir are talking about him not playing with other dobes lol
Well I just learned something. That’s interesting
love your videos man, ive been a cat person all my life (always liked dogs too, just never had many) and only had one dog growing up who we had to give to a friend, now have a second dog now that i moved in with my boyfriend (his dog) and your videos have helped me learn a lot about dog behaviour and how dogs communicate
Wonderful, 💛🌻
My giant schnauzer would be a good helper like Prince - Prince is our role model
“Meet 30 non- princes before a Prince” story of my life.. This dog is my spirit animal.
I noticed my catahoula collie mix goes right up to dogs that have his breeds in common before any other dog, even if there's an unspayed female there.
That swat at Prince...!
Synchronized Dobermans!!
My Dobermans only like Dobermans.
My dog has a confidence issue, she's a catahoula/lab mix and we got her from the shelter. We've been working with her for the past year, but even now she sometimes sulks around with her head down for no reason and I'm not sure how to fix it.
IDK if it is a dobermann thing but my two dobes mimic each other constantly, they are like mirror. Great video
I feel for this dog on an emotional level. Can we do this for people?
Prince all near her smelling and drooling 🤣
Prince cant keep his nose away from the ladies 😂
my dog had a friend he used to play with all the time, he loved her to death and even now when he walks past the old house she lived in her does a pee and has a look in the garden to if she is there and he still knows her name and comes running if you say it.
So glad she matched to Prince. ❤
