Okay. I replaced my ignition switch while watching your video. It was the best upload I found for this specific fix. I noticed some criticism in the comment section. To all those: you can figure it out…seriously. Thanks for uploading. Hopefully this gets rid of the instrument panel lighting up like a Christmas tree.
Excellent! Glad it helped. It helped mine, I'm still driving it. I do have some parasitic draw on my battery. It went dead on those cold days we had around Christmas. But that's for another video. Thanks for watching Bro!
2007 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7L Electronic Ignition Switch, you can probably get it locally. I got mine at Oreillys. www.stockwiseauto.com/airtex-1s6017-ignition-starter-switch?fit_id=11543&Year=2005&Make=Jeep&Model=Grand%20Cherokee&gsID=pxf204953f11543&gclid=Cj0KCQiAj4ecBhD3ARIsAM4Q_jEi0xNOJ6DyP96-7UjsrxL-OBcs_f3gHJACAKCuBOvSs5dvEKvgW1EaAuPmEALw_wcB
I have a question? What if you did this whole step and even replace the key ignition box and it start doesn’t turn the car on. Can the problem be the chip that is in the key fob? Example like when you try to start your car without your key fob the just stales
@@marygarrett9724did this fix yours? Ive been trying to troubleshoot this for a while but im honestly at a bit of a loss now lol. Im more familiar with euro german and Japanese cars lmao

4:19, same brother
Is there a video to remove the dash part that you removed prior to starting the video?
Never trust a mechanic who uses Channellock's on a 10 mm nut!
lol Ok you got me... I wouldn't call myself a "mechanic". More like a parts changer...lol
that wire loop is the sensor from the chip in the key for the security system. I think
I thought it was to stop static shock. lol
This looks like a normal old style key. Not like mine.
Can you tell me what year this Jeep is Please? Also what was the part #. Thanks
2007

I really am not sure, my Jeep was purchased without a key fab and I never made it to the dealer to buy one. I use a key like the old days lol
Thanks for replying
Be nice if I could see what your doing....lol
I have the Exact Same Heep, I
Mean Jeep lol. What were ur symptoms that required this repair? I think mines on its way out too... thx for the vid 👌
I think it kept trying to start after it was started, and other electrical issues. It still runs, I drive it everyday about 120 miles.
Code U1411 is one thing. The dash panel will go out and the AC. It’s a on off situation, not constant

Let someone else record the repair, your going way to fast sometimes showing floorboards, way to shakey
Good idea.
Take all that weight off your Keychain so you don't end up changing it again!
I have nothing on my keychain and have to chain mine
You sound like my dad!! Lol
