My dealer said don't bother with it till 2000 miles and said doing my own service wont void the warranty. I have always done that stuff myself. Great job on the video's you have turned into a professional.
Lol me being a tech myself for different brand , my dealer for cf moto told me they had to do the valve adjustment for warranty and I said bs , but I played along took it , little did they know I covered the bolts with heat tape , when they were done I inspected , and my tape was still there , needles to say I got a free service and valve adjustment out of it when I was done with the service manager lol
They said the same, that my warranty would be voided if the valve adjustment wasn't documented, and I wasn't paying almost $800 for the valve adjustment/check they wants over $1k for the fluids and the valve check. Eff that. Warranty voided and traded the machine.
I've checked valves 2 times since 2021 once on 20 hours 320km and again at 1350km been on the money both times. We have 5 year warranty here in Canada so probably void said warranty since I did it myself but did video doing it gust incase. Dealer really tried ripping me off when buying it almost walked away but sold both my other wheelers that morning to help pay for new bike and needed it for trip the next day. Been a good machine only problems I've had have been Reverse lights have never worked And winch solenoid just failed not long ago.
@@bigjay6743Did it void your warranty? I was told you could do it yourself as long as it was documented. I'm also in Canada. Is the valve adjustment on a uforce XL easy to do with the engine in the machine? This video is great but the engine is out of the machine. I am at 20 hrs now and this is supposed to be done.
Hey RNG- great video. This gave me the refresher course i needed since its been about 20 years since i did a valve adjustment. I did it at 21 hours on a cforce 1000 and saved me a trip to the dealer. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS as i watched 30 of them before upgrading my 2010 polaris sportsman 800 to this thing. So far.. this thing is great!
Great Video . I know what you mean , I had to adjust my 2021 at 200 miles , slightly out of spec. My Daughters 2022 we just going to change the fluids it sounds & runs Great so it don’t need all that. Keep up the good videos
GREAT VID! Even an average non- shade tree mechanic like myself can do this! ( Just have to get through the plastic jungle and breaking tabs thing ). High quality presentation Steve! Thank you!🙌
Thanks for this one. I just bought mine new, but will never go back to my local dealer. This was the one break in item, that I wasn't sure about doing myself.
I checked my own at 200 miles. They were set perfect. No need to adjust. I’ve got slightly over 1500 miles now and it runs perfect. If I notice it run differently or hear some clattering I’ll definitely go in and check everything out and adjust if necessary.
My 800xc had been adjusted twice both times they said a couple valves where tight...first time at 300 km second at 2500 km . Being told to baby it at break in with amsoil in it will produce a slow break in period I believe.
Perfect timing, was going to do mine at 500+ miles..yeah i really dont want to take 75% of the plastics off so i think ill wait a bit and just do the diff fluids.
love the videos, keep up the good work. Now you need to start hooking guys up with some tunner info cause those dudes down in Mississippi selling tunes are a Joke.
Good info on this video. Any recommendations on what all i should service at 11,000 kms? Im going to be diving into the engine for a loud ticking noise, hoping its just valves but who knows.
On the measurements…. Did you mean exhaust between .006mm and .011 and .009mm? All I can find is .006-.009 and nothing for .09 or .06mm. Thanks for the video. It helps a lot!
Red. I just took my cover off. Maybe a silly ? But. The machine have to b in park? I have it in neutral. So the line is on the top an I can't even get a gauge to slide in there. Friggin awful. Glad I checked it
I tried adjusting mine and on cold start will idle for a sec die then second start it idles but jumps around on idle. I did top center with mark and went wit it specs and have tried other ones still haven’t got it working
I believe there is something like 10 or 12 Allen heads that are keeping the rack on the mounts, then it's a pain in the ass to get the 100k clips out and keep track of them all.
Hi friend I want to ask that mine 1000 Zforce I see one slender head (front side) exhaust pipe it’s glow red but the other slender exhaust it’s fine no red so do I need valve adjustment or there something other reason I really no idea could you help me I appreciate you thanks
So which video should I go by? You have another video showing to turn the engine until one side is completely compressed and the other side completely relaxed. If I line the mark up with the head, I can’t get a feeler under any of them.
Hi sir how are you I am repairing cf Moto 800 ex but first cylinder work second no work ring piston valve everything is ok fuel ok elicit is ok spark plugs ok but number 1 work number 2 not working take self long can guide
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I appreciate your knowledge especially when I don’t want to take my machine back to the dealer that’s 2.5 hours away. Feeling 100% confident to do this service myself now.
No promo codes right now. This is our busiest time of year we can’t keep up as it is. If we put promo codes out we will be so far behind 😂. That and we already have the absolute best prices.
😂 😂 hey you know a little about something. Good for you my man. However let me educate you further. Some vehicles do need valves checked and yes there are still vehicles on the market with the screw tapped or adjustable buckets. I don’t think we need to talk about collapsed lifters do we? There ya go we all learn something every day. Enjoy 😉

Damn Red Neck, you are talking like a real professional. The videos are looking very crisp, you are doing a great job.
Good Luck and may GOD bless.

Allot of crooks out there my friend. Makes you wonder how many people have been taken by these crooks.
Let's just hope they did the valve adjustment correctly after getting busted 😅

I did mine early. They were fine. Might do them again sometime. Right now it sounds great, starts great and works great. Almost 2000 miles.
Good to hear for sure.
Great video just what I been looking for! I knew you would have a video like this👍

Stay tuned. We will. I agree with you 💯 them clowns only want your money. We catch them in marketing lies all the time.
Thanks for your honesty

Hi 👋 very educational vid! Thank you and just wondering if this valve spec would be the same on a 2024, 450 nk?
Where are you from my friend. I havent purchased a cf moto z force yet but i enjoy your honesty every single video.
Good info on this video. Any recommendations on what all i should service at 11,000 kms?

Is there a video on the MT450 CFMOTO valve adjustment?
Finally some truth here. Great info!
Thank you 🙏
I tried adjusting mine and on cold start will idle for a sec die then second start it idles but jumps around on idle. I did top center with mark and went wit it specs and have tried other ones still haven’t got it working
Would the clearances for my 2015 800 ex be the same as those mentioned in your video? Im struggling to find anything specific. Thanks in advance.
If memory serves me correctly yes.
Do you feel that it is still worth while to do the first oil change at the 20 hr. mark or would you wait longer? Thank you!
Me personally I wait until til 50 hrs. I’ve done that with all my power sports, lawn mowers etc etc.
@@R.N.GPerformancethank you!
Just curious what is your opinion on warmup time? I usuallu wait for the temp light to get a notch before i move
15-20 mins
@@R.N.GPerformance gotcha! Thanks for answering 🤟
@@R.N.GPerformance really? 15-20 min idling? I’ve never heard of that long of a warm up time. Curious why.
To bar over the engine do you just take that round side cover off on the passenger side ?
I can find the feeler gauge .08mm no problem but the .113 i cant find. You have the .127mm that = to .004 of an inch but .113mm = to .0044 of an inch.
What do you think about the service department at Curran tv in pine city ny?
I don’t know. I’ve never used their service department buddy. I do allot of business with Curren and have always been treated fairly.
Do you line up timing mark before adjusting valves
on my cforce 500 and zforce 800 trail can this be done with the engine in the machine? never done this before on anything new to it
Yeah
My dealer said they don’t do it at break in he said if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it might make it worse
Red. I have a 2022 950 ho sport. Taking the cargo rack off is kicking my butt. Lol. Is there hidden screws under it??
Last one I worked on I said hell with it. It was such a pain 😂
An I'm pretty handy. Idk. Anyways. How's the turbo coming along in the uforce?? Well I hope u r getting a kit together to sell. I'm in 100%
I believe there is something like 10 or 12 Allen heads that are keeping the rack on the mounts, then it's a pain in the ass to get the 100k clips out and keep track of them all.
Good stuff!🎉
Thank you 🙏

Either one. You just want to make sure the lifter is in the back side of the cam.
I've checked the valves 2 times since 2021And both times they've been dead on.
Hi sir how are you I am repairing cf Moto 800 ex but first cylinder work second no work ring piston valve everything is ok fuel ok elicit is ok spark plugs ok but number 1 work number 2 not working take self long can guide
thanks for the video!! my dealer wants to charge 250 to do this on my papio. Do you know what the papio is to be set at?
I don’t my friend I’m sorry. Your welcome 🙏
Does the engine need to be removed?
No
Anything that needs valve adjustments at those intervals had a design problem.
I agree 💯 💯
Exactly they don't.
Cam u do this with motor on equipment
Yes
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I appreciate your knowledge especially when I don’t want to take my machine back to the dealer that’s 2.5 hours away. Feeling 100% confident to do this service myself now.
I need a promo code! Hook a new customer up dawg!

This guy is a joke. So you take your car in to have your valves adjusted? Of courses not majority of cars are hydraulic lifters not screw tappet.
