You know, I'm gonna say this. In this racially charged culture of today, a lot of people I know probably wouldn't watch your channel. But I like your meals and prep and it's really been good. But really got my attention is how you include The Bible as part of your teaching with the meal and recipe, PLUS the fact that your meals are GOOD!!!
I actually look forward to your videos and when I see them on my feed, I stop and watch them and learn something new every time! This will be tomorrow's meal as I have everything in my kitchen except the ground beef which i'll be getting.
You got a fan here in Texas...God Bless!!!

It's really sad that racism still exist in this world! Heck, it's sad that it EVER existed, but you'd think as humans we'd evolve. I pray every single day that our world learns to love one another. I remember as a little girl around the age of 5, my parents sat me and my siblings down and had a talk with us about racism and how there are people who treat others badly because they have a different skin color. I remember being shocked because I hadn't been raised around that and the church I grew up in, everyone was welcome. I will continue to spread love and pray that our world learns to love one another as Christ loves us.

Darryl Brown, well Daryl I’m glad your not like the “Lot of people You Know” you are wiser than them. They are the ones losing out. We have to rise out of racism, God does not want us to hate each other, only Love one another, Period. Doesn’t matter what race or “color” we are just Love. That’s all

Was standing in my kitchen as a young wife with an instant family crying my eyes out. I didn't know how to feed them on nothing. I asked God to help. He put the idea of ' Hamberger Helper 'in my head and said use what you have. Looked around and did this. I have scince made this so many ways. I've used ranch dressing with onion celery and garlic, I've usedcream cheese milk and bouillon. I've ground up thawed Turkey and used that . so many meals this one recipe can provide. It is a gift from God.

I said in away it is, I love that I told her, it was a kind of a cook book.

I scored a 2lb box of macaroni on the "marked down shelf" for $1 at the grocery store yesterday. Also found a 2lb package of ground chuck marked down to almost half price, so this recipe will be perfect! I know this is 2 years later, but grateful for the healing of your loved one. Yes, power of prayer is a God given gift.

Becky, first of all thank you for posting all of these videos and going to all the trouble with the technology. Made this today after watching the video and it was awesome. Incorporated some chopped green pepper and onion. My brother & I ate almost a whole skillet of this. It was delicious and easy to make with very clear cut directions. I'm not a christian, nor do I consider myself a religious man, and neither am I atheist. However, I find your dialog very upbringing, clear and non-pretentious and have replayed several of your videos many times just to fast forward to the religious content. Maybe I should try going to church someday..... That being said, I've tried 4 of your recipes to date and have enjoyed each and every one. Please keep up the good work and inspirational dialog. Thanks again

I am allergic to the onion and garlic so I do use Italian seasonings instead. Instead of water I do use beef broth for the extra flavor. I am older so I agree about how heavy the cast iron pans get. I will use slices of bread to absorb the grease and then add them for the dogs dinner bowl.

I have a similar recipe. Will try yours, for sure. Use my cast iron pan occasionally on my glass cooktop. So far, no problem. I also use the paper towel method to drain grease if I use the cast iron. It’s too heavy to keep lifting. Thanks again for sharing your faith. I don’t know what I would do without being able to talk to my Lord.

This dish is so close to what my Mom used to make! She used a big pot on the stovetop. There used to be a brand of catsup called Brooks. She used a bottle of that, onion powder, salt and enough water for a bag of egg noodles. Then she started to add Velveta cheese and sometimes a can of corn. It filled the pot and gave leftovers too. We had a gas stove I learned to cook on. As my Mom gave me instructions on how to cook different things, she knew I would know where to start from what she called “hamburger high” which was a medium flame. She would have loved your channel! 💛🙏💛

My wife and I use cast iron on our glass top stove and have no issues. We are very experienced cooks. We use smooth bottom cast iron and because they retain heat so well we never go above a 5 on the dial, ours goes low to 10 being high heat. O just couldn't imagine not using my cast iron! We also converted an old wood stove to an outside stove and oven, next to our grill. It is incredible.

I really appreciate recipes like this. I like the convenience of the boxed casserole-type dishes, but have always avoided them because of the additives they contain. I also like the comments about commercial canned/bottled/boxed products that I have heard in many of your videos - I, too, try to avoid MSG and high fructose corn syrup. I hope I find many more videos on your channel that take common pre-packaged meals and make them from scratch instead.
I hope you will make a video sometime about spice blends, such as taco seasoning, etc. I always avoid those little packets of stuff because they have way too much salt in them for me. I learned more than 50 years ago that there is very little that can't be improved upon with the addition of onion powder, black pepper and a little pinch-or-so of sugar, but I like to try new things, too.
Thank you for the instruction, as well as the entertainment. Your Aunt Dot sounds like my Aunt Joan!

The Hillbilly Kitchen Verses & Vittles
Bless you, Becky! As much ad I like Hamburger Helper, I've been looking for a from-scratch recipe like this one.
Update: my husband just got a call from the housing program he's trying to get us into, and tomorrow they will be calling to conduct the intake interview. We still do need some help, and will likely have to stay here another few days, but it's looking good.

This looks delicious!! Going to make it soon. We own several cast iron pots/skillets. I know they cook food well. But I never use them, they are way too heavy for me to pick up/maneuver/clean. My husband loves to use them though. It's a standing rule in my house - if he cooks with it....he MUST clean it! LOL. I feel like my skinny wrist is going to break when I pick it up. .....Have a great day!!

I had the same problem with cast iron heaviness. We had mine my husband’s mothers and different sizes as well. I was afraid of dumping out the meal in the sink. When we got the glass cooktop , we donated them all to Greyhound Love, a retirement hone for Greyhounds!
Wish I had one and could do the paper towel trick!😊

Looks like another great fast recipe, also yummy!!! I find that when I pray for one of God's children in need he gives me so much love in return!!! Love is a gift from God to be shared with others. So glad healing is taken place after the accident. God bless you Becky and keep sharing😊😊😊😇♥️👍👍

Amen! You really can't out give God. I don't care if you are giving love or money. Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
      God Bless You!

My husband does all the cooking as I am in a wheelchair 👩🏽‍🦼. He also uses a iron skillet and drains grease like you do.😉👍

We gave this a go. Added an extra pound of hamburger and hmmmm. So good. Sour Cream is a good addition too 🙂.
