The chemistry between them is absolutely adorable, and I love seeing them together here and playing off of each other so well, David and Lee are the best married couple on television
😂😂
Well said😂
I c what you did there. Well Done Sir😂😂😂
I fell for that hook line and sinker. 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve always appreciated the banter between Lee and Victoria, especially here and on cats does countdown 😄
Victoria seemed geniunely insulted at the mere suggestion she needs help with a crossword puzzle. That alone proved she and David are perfect for each other.
They were already together (again) at this point, but not public yet. So ‘he should know better’ ;)
@@sc-rq7zythat doesn’t really have to do with what they said
Proper daggers in her eyes 🤣🤣🤣
@@Butterratbeeneither does this: delicious sandwiches
@@ButterratbeeYes it does. She was annoyed at David for not overruling when he should’ve known better. Lee and her even say to each other “he didn’t overrule”. When she said “You think I call Tim Henman….” she was talking to just David Lol.
"Have you always had a soft spot for wounded animals?"
David: "Yes"
Yes.
She needs to be on more often. The dynamic and comedic rapport between her, David, and Lee is fantastic.
Gee honey would you like to come on national TV and dissect every nuance of how I lie?
Are you saying they should get rid of Rob Brydon?
The beauty of British TV is it rarely does anything to death. Having her as a very occasional guest keeps it fresh and special. Compare that to US TV where they would see viewing figures go up when she's on, have her on all the time, then her appearances would quickly lose their magic.
Victoria telling the forecast arguement with David... and David going "I am just reading it out" 😂😂
Both are very cute ❤❤❤
I think her facial reaction after David read the statement gave everyone some element of "there might some truth to this". And she looked like she was doing an inventory of her reading of late and how many times she thought, "I don't remember the story going in this direction."
@@lelandd.295then there as this 18:03 look oh maa word at look hoping it wasnt true
21:35 He got the quote right: "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
As an American, the "lollipop man" story was way more entertaining before Lee asked about guiding children, and I realized they were talking about crossing guards 😂
Same!
When "what on earth is a lollipop man?" wasn't the first question, I realized that it must be a known thing
A thing i was actually about to Google but then we got some context clues.
@@todddepue681 I was assuming and imagining someone who sells lollipops, tbh 😂
@IceMetalPunk I don't mind saying I was a bit disappointed to learn that it wasn't! 😀
That said, it's an adorable name for a crossing guard and I long for an opportunity to work it into a conversation.
@@todddepue681 Yeah I think it's because the 'Stop' sign (being circular in the UK) they carry looks like one of those flat lollipops you can get.
I actually didn't know they were called 'Crossing Guard' elsewhere.
The American name sounds like something really sinister to me, like you're about to be shot trying to get over the Berlin Wall!
I've always wondered on a show like this and Whose Line what gives the performers more of a rush, getting their joke to land or setting up someone else for a big laugh.
Lee's face when Victoria zings him "Maybe some day you'll know..." is like a proud father that sent their kid out into a cruel world and they just struck it rich.
I think a lot of panel shoes are much more scripted than they appear.
I hope that one day we get David and Victoria vs Lee and Mrs. Mack. The battle of the couples would be amazing
Her sausage rolls go alright.
I feel like Mrs. Mack (sorry, I don’t know her name) would be on David’s team.
Ok…. So, yeah… Victoria, David, Mrs. Mack on one team. James Acaster, Lee …. And Bob f--ing Mortimer on the other.
The INSANITY!
that's just cruel - Bob Mortimer is David's kryptonite lol@@83gemm
Her name is Tara McKillop and they met at Brunel University before Lee was famous, there's no real information about who she is or what she does but it does say Lee likes to keep his family life private so its unlikely she'll ever be on. Victoria Mitchell was already a TV personality before she got with David so its different cos she was already in the public eye and obviously her profile raised even higher once she got with him. Tara is obviously not in the media so would probably be reluctant to be on as would Lee be reluctant to have her on.
As an American, it took me far longer to understand what a lollipop man is than it should have.
17:12 -- I will always find it hilarious how her neck swivels around to check if David does indeed hate Lee.
Loved Clare Balding in this episode. She played off the amazing dynamic between Lee, David and Victoria and had funny little quips and teases at the perfect moments.
Victoria blatantly has ‘Wounded Seagull’ saved as David’s number on her phone 🥰❤️
Great montage! David’s “Victoria doesn’t know this” is still one of my very favourite WILTY stories. 😂
i love how put out she looks when lee says "she told us the joke", great stuff
This has got to be one of the best episodes ever. « I still find you an adequate colleague », and « Are you still writing for Hallmark Cards? »
22:58 Victoria’s expression shift is priceless
14:37 I've seen this clip before, but the full context of the earlier banter makes David's reply much more witty now.
I love her eyes when she smiles.
Thanks for this - gotta love these two. Victoria is so witty, I love her on Only Connect. And she and David seem the perfect, if a little odd, couple.
Why odd? She's hot and he's so cute, they are perfect for eachother
The very fact that they are a little odd makes them perfect. We need more slightly odd (or unique) people in this world.
Indeed we do.
@@ladycatfern Star Trek: Generations "NORMAL is what everyone else is... and you are not." Sounds good to me.
10:48 I gotta say I really enjoyed Asim trying to break the game and also Victoria immediately shutting him down. I mean it was a good effort but she used to be a professional poker player lol, you ain't catching her.
Victoria and David = a perfect couple!
I much prefer them over the Beckham variety..
Im aware beauty is in the eye of the beholder but Victoria is absolutely stunning and her personality is amazing
Well this beholder is besotted, but definitely not in her league, sadly 😔
There's an obectivity to beauty. It's not entirely about preference.
Totally stunning.
Her smile is incredible
@@unfgreen She and David recently had a second daughter. They kept the pregnancy private and announced the birth in the Times newspaper. Their other girl is about 8 years old. Wonderful couple.
The ‘crossword’ part was before they were married or even dating, and I think the tension is even better. I love them as a couple. 👍
They were together, just wasn’t announced.
Any other Americans giggling at David Mitchell the Lollipop Man wielding the Rod of Power????🤣🤣🤣
I didn't even realize what they meant until Lee asked how many kids he'd led across the road 😂
Pretty sure the double entendres were on purpose.
The Tim Henman roasting is just chefs kiss😂
Somehow its way better when there is a male and female versione of davids personality. Also remarkable how lee keeps up with both
David and Victoria together are so good together. Crushing on David in a weird way
When I was 18-19 years old, I tried to learn how to lucid dream so I could dream about David Mitchell
So your crush probably isn't the weirdest
I'm 33 now
I've moved on 😝
I never get tired of watching these clips over and over.
I love how everyone thought he was misquoting but that is actually a common saying
She is so endearing and lovely
Her brother is a creep, though. She is likeable, but is a poker player. Maybe she is just good at appealing to us, and not trying to defend terrible things. I wouldn't imagine Christmas at the family home would be especially heartwarming😂
@@timothygraham4304 What are you on about?
Is that Giles Corin? What has he done?
To have told a story that was so funny someone was hospitalized. Maybe you will find out one day 😁What a burn 😁
I thot Sean Lock was a genius, now I know in Britain, there are more! Victoria, Lee, and David😂😂😂
Tim Henman caught so many strays in that last one 😂
Victoria and David are a perfect match. No wonder he waited so long for her. She's gorgeous and he is a living legend. From Ireland 🇮🇪
He’s from England isn’t he?
@@TC8787-yq7og Absolutely, your point being????. 🇮🇪
@@irishmade8136you should maybe add love from Ireland
OMG These bits are hilarious! Having a couple on a team definitely spices up the debates and questions.
Practicing you skills at lying next to your spouse...
Brave, STOOPID or both... have a divorce lawyer on speed dial.
That first one is a great bluff shows how good she is at the game
Oddly, and nobody else cares but I'm sharing, the Mitchell and Webb sketch about "we're back, the people who are still unaccountably tailors" made me laugh so hard I passed out. The "so shiny I can see my face in it" line specifically.
I laughed so hard at a sequence in Will & Grace that I passed out
20:45 She is so sassy to David like “Is this really the man I’m dating” 😂
They weren't dating at this point, they had gone on dates in the past but it hadn't led to anything and I believe Victoria was in a relationship with someone else, though according to David he was very much hung up on her which I think does come across. There is a slight desperation to him in that clip, like he's eager to impress
14:08. That look is priceless.
Genius the both of them - and loved the Clinton Cards insult.
Omg im Canadian and we used to call them crossing guards but as of this moment thats changed! I was so confused i thought it was some weird mascot thing like blipy or blupy pink bug eyed thing.....
What a great episode
5:26 Her and David are perfect for each other :)
Laughter and humour are indeed the key to life. If you don't have a sense of humour, you're already dead.
Other than the guy literally hospitalised from laughing
Of course we only see their public side, but they seem a lovely couple and so well suited.
Adore these two. Their interactions make you want to watch them all day. {Disclaimer: No stalking intended. 🤥}
I feel the same way about several guests. Can you imagine Bob Mortimer stories unfolding before your eyes?? 😂
I once carried an injured seagull home from school under my jacket ... obviously Victoria was my ideal woman but that damned peep show guy got there first ;)
I love her little laugh
I absolutely adore Victoria.
That dress is sensational.
I used to read about ten books at a time. Thank God I've managed to get it back to one and a light book maybe whilst in bed before sleep.
So you’re saying you used to read between nine and eleven books at a time?
😅
I read about 10 books per decade (rounding up)
You gotta love David's grumpy logic.
I am a big fan of Victoria Coren Mitchell.
David Mitchell is possibly - just possibly - the luckiest man who ever lived.
To be fair Stuart looks like a minor giggle could take him out.
She's genuinely the greatest genius of our modern day, at least by my standards. I'm so happy for her and David, she's amazing in everything she's in!
Legendary couple!
Love her! And them as a couple❤
Woah, before and after marriage in one video!
Yes, but why weren't they in chronological order . . . ?
@@jamesneilsongrahamloveinth1301Cause who cares
I'd love to see them 2 on stage together, it would be hilarious
It's more likely that Tim Henman would call Victoria asking for help with HIS crosswords
3 across - green stuff that people play football on - 5 letters - G R A …… dang better call Victoria for this one 😂
Victoria is without a doubt my biggest celebrity crush. She is so fuckin cute.
She’s a lovely lady ..David’s a lucky guy happiness to you both
Gosh Victoria is such a gem ..
Oh David, you are such a lucky fella ! Although, I know that "luck" really has nothing to do with it.
I’ve read David’s autobiography, and I know he briefly dated Victoria before she ended it and started dating someone else. He was besotted with her and was depressed about it for 3 years, before they started dating again. The episode in which Victoria is on Lee’s team pretty much HAS to be from that 3 year span. How awkward and sad for David.
They started dating again in 2010 and that episode aired at the end of 2011. I believe at the time they still weren't public with the relationship which is why there isn't any digs about why she asked a tennis player rather than calling up David.
@@chellnz interesting!
@@chellnzBut she seemed shocked that David believed it.
@@chellnz ... there aren't any ...
Victoria is a class act.
the way Victoria looks at David reminds me of a smitten ex when we first met and fell in love, they're so perfect for each other
alas, something I'll never know
Lollipop man?? lol I was a Lollipop person in school!!!
I was worried he might burst
At least and last you‘ve started with the terrace and the kitchen below, I‘ve said it years ago why don‘t you put a tarpaulins on top of the tiles to prevent further leakage but this must have gone on deaf ears but now there is a serious attempt to fix it one’s and for all and as usual the work done is superb
6:32 Lee is savage 😂
it goes to show how attractive victoria is when you realise shes 51 and david is 2 years younger, but looks older.
She’s gorgeous
One of my favourite shows because of Lee Mack.
She is so likeable for a posh girl - just like David 😁- her Dad was really good on Call My Bluff so I see where some of her talent comes from.
What an amazing woman
Does anyone know the episode of Only Connect in which Victoria said the joke?
Series 14, Episode 19
"Hotpots vs. Brews"
@@janeeyre1990 thank you so much!!
@@ivan1793, you're welcome 😊
She’s 🔥
I’ve seen the “Only Connect” episode.
That would have been amazing if they brought a seagal out as the special guest.
David's wife is super pretty... Smart and pretty what a combo
If I were David, I dont think I'd ever get out of bed.
Pretty fitting that Rob Brydon opens by making jokes about dead birds; he did play Death in the discworld game.
GAME BALL 😮
@19:05 It took Lee and Victoria a bit for Rhod's joke to land
/nods/
David did well there
Super-marine Spitfire and pure memories last name Mitchell. True and the brilliant sooth Sayer's last name Proffitt.
I love Victoria ❤❤❤❤
Soft spot for wounded animals. You’re ticking boxes Victoria. 😊
Victoria is so beautiful.
Try reading David’s book that’s where the information is.
The real posh spice
As an American, I could see the last panelist on Lee's team playing American foobball.
Victoria is easily one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. 🔥❤️
Stuart would pass out swatting a fly
Such a cute couple
Poor David Mitchell
There's no way he's a lollipop man if he can't stand up for that long.
Seem to be a wonderful couple
S hes got a great pair
