- Responding Code 3 in one of our rollback units to a crash on the interstate where a car hit the cable barriers and was blocking traffic.
www.paypal.me/RotatorRon If you enjoy my videos, tips are greatly appreciated. The videos are my hobby, not my job. Thanks and God bless.

Here's a link to the video describing our ability to run Code 3: • ANSWERS TO VIEWERS' QU... - Авто та транспорт
I am always impressed at how calm and professional your driving is when you're running code. I feel that's some of the non police, fire, medical individuals take advantage of their privileges and drive like a hooligan.
Agreed
I really like that you guys are authorized for code 3 when needed/requested. I think it should be the same in other states.
One thing I have been impressed with over the course of all these video's I have watched is how all your equipment and tools are kept spotless and in perfect condition.
Ron I am a fairly new sub to you’re channel. I never knew I would enjoy a towing company channel so much. I think firstly you’re love of God kept me on here and second you’re utmost professionalism and respect you give to everyone. Not to mention your extreme talent on the Rotator and teachings of Talon and your crew. God is great and many prayers to all on the channel to keep y’all safe. Amen.
That's about as slick and safe recovery/highway clearance as you'll ever see...
Thanks Ron as ever,
Dave
Having worked in the industry for many years Totally agree with the code response Saves time and further accidents as well as in some cases injury and death Wish it was mandated world wide with proper training of course and strict enforcement There are those in the industry who would take advantage as we both know Glad the lady received only minor injury Have a great day Ron and crew
Thank you for explaining why you can run code and have red & blue lights. It's not legal in my State so I was always pondering why you were, but also accepted that it must be legal in your State. Thanks a lot Ron, for all you do. I sure wish I had a mentor like you.
Great video and channel you have Ron. You make all the jobs look easy and explain in a way which all your viewers can understand. You should be happy with your channel and all the views you get.
~The Mad Trucker
I'm glad you said something about passing on the right w/ lights/sirens! In my 30 + years of EMS experience that is the one bad place to be especially if you "sneak up" on an unaware driver and their first reaction is to pull to the right (into you!!)
great job as always your explanations of why, when, how you do things is great. I've learned a lot by watching your videos
So have I.

Great quick job as always. You are still my favorite when it comes to rescue and recovery. Your concern for safety is unperilled. Walking us thru the operation accents your skills. Keep up the good work.
Hello from Australia I love the amount of effort you put in to live lane safety as a call out diesel mechanic I know the feeling all to well of cars and trucks ripping past at 110kph or 70mph that thought that one may just cross that fog line one day still gives me chills stay safe head on a swivel Ron
Ron, you’re amazing. Missouri is lucky to have you. God Bless you and keep you safe.
As ever Ron, quick/safe/ professional.....and very compassionate towards the unfortunate incident victim....👍🇮🇲❤️
Amazing work with the cleanup, Ron. I really love your videos! Honestly, I wish more states had similar laws to MO, because the faster the tow drivers get on scene, the sooner the roads can be cleared off, and the safer everyone is in the end.
I discovered my state (NM) started putting up signs late last year to remind drivers to slow down and move over. We have a similar law (and similar penalties), but I don't believe most drivers here know about it--I suspect this is true for most states. Part of this is probably because enforcement is spotty at best and our local sheriffs are already overworked.
Thank you for the videos and for your incredible compassion. You're in our prayers. Be safe.
The adrenaline rush when you turn code. Love the videos. Awesome job Ron.
Thanks for your time in making the video. I love the "behind you" part of the trip. I am continuously surprised how bigger and bigger trucks have automatic transmission to despite their complexity.
Nice one Ron, your vids are always great and explain what we do very clearly to those who are interested in our trade.
I know today is a very special day for you and keep up the good work my brother.
May god bless and protect you mate 😊
I have to watch my deputies videos randomly every month. I always fuss at them to stay to the left as well. Also, you need the electrical adapter that hooks to your steering horn that changes audible tones by hitting the steering wheel horn button to make it more accessible to you while driving.
Easy money. Long video, but one of the quickest lifts I’ve seen you do. Thanks for all of the content!
Prayers for the person hurt in this accident , who caress if that Camera was not on , great job on quick recovery
Glad to see you running the sirens all the time instead of turning them on and off, which IMO would be distracting for motorists around you.
Congratulations on your professionalism and devotion to your trade. You are a kind and caring individual. God bless!
Thank you for sharing your story, God bless you and your family
i love that you cover your own believes and those of others without judging. you need to run for president and unite this country again
People need to give the siren more respect
This is only my second video, and I am impressed by your professionalism and bearing.
By the way, LOVE your videos since I started watching them in June. Learning many things how to use straps and chains properly to recover vehicles. Plus you lucky to run red/blue lights and sirens in your tow trucks to get to wrecks fast. Here in NJ (New Jersey) where I live, have some crazy laws when it comes to emergency personnel. Tow trucks are not considered emergency vehicles but have to obey traffic laws unless heading to serious accidents on the highways and they can drive in the breakdown lanes with Amber/White lights flashing (some can run blue lights also). The POVs (Personal Own Vehicles) for firefighters and EMTs (including volunteers) run all blue or blue & white with no siren to their stations when called, have to obey all traffic laws and sometimes people dont yield to them which causes problems. The only people that can run lights and sirens are police officers (in/out of their police cars), EMTs (when in an ambulance), firefighters (in the trucks) and fire chiefs (in their POVs and chief cars). GOD SPEED
I consider myself a "Tree Hugging Hippy" (3rd Generation I guess, since I was born in the 1970's) the history is deeper and richer though... Anyway, I always hope that any of the injured people recover fully and quickly. Pushing that PTO Engage button is essential, as it keeps the engine from stalling (I'm qualified to operate a Boom Lift truck). Man, I bet that lady was terrified. I'm glad she only had minor injuries. As always Ron, another fine video.
Yes Ron, You were running in code, heard the siren and again, You did a great job and quickly and professionally.
You wasted absolutely NO time both hooking and hauling it away from the scene. Great 👍 job, Ron!
Love your fast pace and the hard work that you put into it thx for all you do!!!!!
As I was watching, I was praying for this lady. As a retired EMT, I have been on several calls with severe injuries on those cables. In fact one was a decapitation. Rainy night, speed was too fast, lost control crash.
I think it stupid more states don't allow wreckers to use sirens.
Jttv but not all states consider tow trucks as emergency vehicles they consider police fire and law as emergency vehicles and that's it that's the majority of the states
Where I live tow truck's are considered emergency vehicles yet still my state doesn't allow tow trucks to run lights and sirens
Agreed, here in NY its been thought of, but never passed from what ive researched
Jttv OK doesn’t even allow lights in POVs, I don’t think tow trucks would pass anytime soon.
Oklahoma Emergency same in CA. it sucks.
From on scene to driving away, a bit under 8 minutes.. ...impressive. God Bless
I think it's a good idea to run sirens, to protect you also
Great video Ron as always. Many, many prayers go out to the victim's family and friends. I hope that the victim is going to be ok with no lasting issues.
Thanks for sharing and God bless
Nice and Fast, great work you are doing there. I wish towing services were considered Emergency responders in Europe as well. Then it wouldn't take them so long to get on scene and clear the accident. Same with Slow Down Move Over law. It's non-existent here, pure luck we haven't heard of any first responder getting injured or worse on job for years. Stay safe Ron, and continue doing great job. Hello from Czech Republic.
I would love to run sirens in the State of Tennessee ! Thanks another great video Ron
Ron, I love how quick and efficient you guys are when clearing these wrecks. You’re always thinking of the community and the fact that other people’s lives are also affected when they aren’t able to go about they day.
Nice job Ron. Quick response and scene clean-up. I'm sweating just watching you work lol.
Wow! That was an impressive recovery -- quick, safe and complete. Ron, since you have to run code, consider wiring your siren and horn so you can change siren tones without reaching down to the siren control box. Leaves you free to drive and use your radio -- much safer. Any jobber who installs emergency warning equipment can do that for you
In Europe there is usually a foot pedal operated by the left foot, that seems like a great solution
Most sirens can be interfaced with the vehicles horn button, so when the siren is on the tone shifts from wail to yelp and back, or from yelp to air horn and back.
Ron, thanks for taking us along on the actual driving with code!
Hi, Ron!! Quick, safe and perfect recovery of a "cabled car" lol 😎 I think I have watched 99% of your vids, and every one with those dad gummed cables involved, resulted in destroyed cars, trapped people, and one heck of a mess to clean up afterwards. Cars, trucks, transports, or whatever hits them, they don't seem to bounce off, rather they seem to be destroyed. Those cables act as a hacksaw blade, rather than a safety barrier. Yes, they do stop the vehicles from going over to the other oncoming lanes, but they will destroy the vehicle that hits them. Just an observation. God bless you and your family, and so happy to find that the driver only had minor injuries. 🐸
In agree why dont they install big metal beams like here in the U.K
@@jackbellwood7702 we do have guard rails in the US but for some reason in certain sections of states they use cable
Looked up "I've got your six", always nice that someone is watching you.
God Bless Ron! Keep fighting the good fight and doing what you do best!
Pretty soon the vehicles will start righting themselves when they hear
Ron's coming!
I live up in St. Louis I’ve always heard of bad wrecks on 55 in either direction. I wish cars would give you guys more room then you need! Anyways stay safe and God bless!
Hey Ron, I love your videos and your such a humble and friendly individual, you inspire me to do the same. Keep up the good work Ron, and thanks for all you do in the UA-cam community , thank you again and God bless.
They should install those cables on our mountain roads, to keep people from going off the side of the cliff, down a 500+ft embankment into a river
The cables get mixed results. The main thing they have in their favor is they are cheaper than guardrails.
Properly set up guardrails are far superior.
@@fhuber7507 How do they work out for bikers compared to guard rails?
@@joetioeb Bikers get sliced by them, that's why they hate them.
Oooo Colo!!!!!
Ron I always enjoy your videos, you always impress me. Good job. Prayers for the young lady and as always pray for you, cause the job you do is dangerous
I’ve always enjoyed your videos Ron and appreciate you sharing some of your daily work life. Learned a lot even from just the advice you give on the way to or from a scene. Keep up the great work and be safe out there.
Thank you, Ron, praying that the lady is ok 🙏
PRAYING FOR THE YOUNG LADY! GREAT CODE 3 - WISH WE HAD THAT IN CALIFORNIA
Your videos are greatly appreciated!!! Thank you for everything that you do to save the day!!!
Greetings from Indiana, Ron. Hope everything is going good for you and everyone there. Always look forward to seeing your videos. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
Nothing like waking up to a notification for Ron's newest video!
You have some great driving skills there Ron. Especially @5:20. Also, LOVE the new siren
you know it's going to be good day with a new ron pratt video stay safe out there
Iceman Or a nice way to end the day... for us over here. :-)
After 40 years as a millwright I can always relate to your rigging. I often wonder why you don't carry an extra 25 and 50 feet of cable along with a snatch block on the rollbacks to help redirect pulls. Just a thought. Love Your videos
You could save a life of someone trapped inside a vehicle. God Bless Ron.
One could say the car is all wired up?
Now, since curiousness is a big part of being human, what’s inside the box at the passenger seat???
Yes I agree with Michael, I've learned so much watching these videos.
YES!!! I'm so excited you got a new siren. I really love this one.
Prayers to her and her family
I want to meet the 19 people who put a "thumbs down" for this video. I never stopped to think about how important good tow & recovery drivers are. I love watching these videos. And for the lights and sirens debate.... recovery drivers are just as important as fire / rescue / police / emt's. I wish all states would adopt this.
Another speedy Safe job by Ron. Great work. Stay safe. Greetings from Wellington New Zealand.
Love the sirens. Always a good thing to have. You sure cleared that place fast. I love your videos.
That was about as fast and safe as it can be done. Ya done good.
Hey man who a lot more than happy 21st century ago by
Bonjour Ron cela m'a rappelé ce qu'est j'ai fais pendant 10 ans 24 sur 24 il y à 20 ans de très belles vidéos continuée merci Éric
Another good & safe recovery.Keep up the good work
Ron thank you for sharing your content with us GOD bless everyone
Enjoy watching these great work. UK fan.
Good job as usual Ron.
Could have had a bit more
time by showing the tie down
and less time leaving the crash
site. Glad the driver wasn't
hurt too bad.
What you did initially for the tie down, is what is usually done as the final around here. You have spoiled me. :o) I want YOUR attention to detail/safety to spread! I hope it does.
I can't believe those drivers not pulling over when sirens are blaring. Good job, Ron.. be safe with those crazzzzzy drivers...
Thank God! New siren! Waaaaaaaay better than the last one! You got a mastercom there. If it's set up right, when in yelp, hit the manual button should give you hyperyelp and when in hi lo hit it again for hyperhilo
I think all Tow trucks should be fitted with Lights and sirens.. If it was not for the Tow trucks.. Highways would become car parks and I still could not believe that even when you were running code... People still pulled out and went ahead of you only to suddenly realize and pull over... I mean common sense indicates a vehicle with Lights and Sirens means get the hell out of the way... Not pull out in front and then pull over.. It still amazes me that people still have not gotten the concept of SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER!
They act the same way for Police, Fire, EMS.
Great job on your work and your support Ron Pratt i love your videos a lot
The goodies can be found here....

246spyder thank you that was very kind of you to add the link.god bless
Well, red & blues are apropos for tow companies that work on freeways and/or heavy rescue, anyway. If the rigs stay strictly on city streets, Code 3 is excessive and unnecessary. Depends on the area of responsibility a tow company wants to/is equipped to work...
As always....good Job done! Sorry, my English is not so good....i learnd it about 50 Years ago in School (in Austria). All i wanna say is: i detected your Channel and now you have a Fan more. Abo and Likes included! You are the best! Greetings from Austria!
I agree with you entirely on the subject of tows running code. For those who do not: when there is an incident on a major roadway and traffic slows suddenly, any driver who is distracted in any way is at a high risk of rear ending any traffic that is slowed or stopped in the traffic lane. Take as an example how fast traffic went from "normal" to a standstill in Ron's video. Getting traffic back to normal as fast as possible is extremely important to avoid additional injury.
Ron pratt alignment needed for flatbed as always great video professional work and awesome job. God bless you sir from the repo man in florida
Thanks Ron for another safe and fast recovery, please keep up the great video's. God bless you and all the emergency personnel that keep the highways safe.
Haha, i did notice the siren change, and it is way for the BETTER, love it, now just need a fire truck horn

Great work again Ron .Youre doing a great work. Greetings from the netherlands
Once you arrived at crash site.... very quickly cleared the scene. Great job Mr. Pratt.
I think you scratched the wheels! LOL... Well done...
Another great job Ron! Nice upgrade to the siren as well. Stay safe out there!
Great Job Ron. Prayers to the driver. God Bless
good job Ron .. always enjoy watching .. thankfully the driver is OK .. bless you
Just learned of your channel a few weeks ago.
I drove wreckers in the mid-1980s. We would have LOVED to have remote control on our winches! A coworker was teaching his Rottweiler to move his winch control on cue, but the rest of us? Well, we had to walk back and forth a bit.
As someone who has a gammy leg (bad leg)due to an accident not of my making, As Ron said metal can be replaced, the squidgy bag of fragile fleshy parts aren't so easy replaced, so next time you driving folks remember the thin metal box built to a cost produced to meet targets isn't as strong as you think.
I been watching ur videos since u first started and I luv all of them
Great job Ron that was a quick and. Painless recovery.
Awesome way to wake up in the morning, great video as always Ron.
Great Recovery Ron, for some reason your videos weren't showing up in my recommended not sure what You Tube is doing but hopefully now they show up more. Stay Safe and God Bless
It appears to me that you are a Christian man which is awesome, You always treat others as you wish to be treated. It is a pleasure to watch your videos!
I drove FSP for years and I asked every time we had inspection with highway patrol, state, etc etc how come we weren’t allowed to run code 3. Like always there was never a direct answer to a tow unit operator. Anyway great job Mr Pratt I totally understand why you were rolling sirens 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Im glad you run code and i wish they did that in every state so it keeps the tow truck drivers safe and they can go home to there family as well at night
Thank you for moving the loose broken car parts off the roadway and placing in the vehicle. I witness all too many times where wrecker services intentionally leave behind a full rear or front plastic bumper for someone else to worry about. Obviously, you don't practice that, but do you know why so many towing services do? I assume it's because there is a disposal fee for those items and it's an added expense to them.? Always wondered why. Thank you.
Great job as always Ron! Stay safe out there and God Bless.
