    Love this pattern. I've been looking for tote bags large enough to hold crochet afghan products and I thought to myself,why not just make one. So thanks for this tutorial.

      in order to make it larger you just make extra chains in multiples of 4

    I'm about halfway done and I love the way it's coming out. it's bigger than I thought it would be. the bag really starts to grow once the increases are added. I am using Red Heart with Love also. Mint, Delightful, White, Boysenberry, and maybe I'll add some more colors too lol. Idk yet. Thank you for ALL of your help!

    I finally took the time to make this bag; I just need to finish the handles. Thinking this will be for me! I was going to do rainbow colors with scrap yarn; but ended up doing a turquoise color (Love Blues!!) and then Orange...and liked how they looked so added a cream color. So prettty! Thanks for all you do to help us Clare! Much appreciated!!

    Love the bag and very easy to make. I have several gifts to make for Christmas and will fill it with a magazine and will crochet a lip balm and attach it to the inside of the bag. I am also going to crochet a simple heart and tie it to the outside of the bag with a tag and my name on it. Thank you for the video.

    I'm enjoying watching your videos; you are a good teacher, and I've shared your videos with some friends. I teach crochet, too and I always recommend Susan Bates hooks to my students. Here's why. In this video, I notice you having trouble getting your hook out of your last loop on your stitch almost every single time. I would like to suggest that this is not YOU, it is the style of hook you're using. Susan Bates hooks are wider at the head and also the hook is in line with the shank. This allows for smooth exit from you stitches. You will still encounter the problem, but you will notice a significant improvement in the ease with which you are able to get out of your stitches. Please Note that I am in no way compensated by Susan Bates for this recommendation. I just think maybe people are not aware of this problem, or think it is their fault, or don't know there is a difference in the style of hooks that actually alleviates this situation. Or maybe you've tried Susan Bates hooks and don't like them. At any rate, I thought you might be interested to know. Hope that helps. And as you say, Happy Crochet!

    • @CrochetwithClare
      @CrochetwithClare  6 років тому

      hello, you can use whichever stitches you like as long as they don't stretch much. You can use just one handle but you have the potential of the brim of the bag stretching out or not laying properly with just one handle as well as weight distribution is better with two handles versus one.
