I've just printed this pattern and added it to my pending folder, although saying that I will most probably make it before I've finished what I'm working on right now. Thanks for another great video Clare.
Hello Lori, thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, I am so glad you like this bag. Make sure you finish your other item before starting the bag haha The bag does work up fast because of the big crochet hook Happy crochet
Hello from France! Thank you very much for this video! I started my bag yesterday and will be working on it during the winter break. When spring arrives ( finally...) I’ll be proud to use the bag! How nice it is for a beginner to find a useful and beautiful project! Thanks again!
This bag is so nice! I love it! I am already working on one of your little ponchos for my great-grand daughter and a triangular shawl for myself....and will now be heading to Wal-Mart tomorrow to choose yarn for this adorable handbag. Thanks so much for all your easy-to-follow directions.
This is amazing, I made this in a lot of colours, I use it when I got get groceries and My kids use it for school/gym and My daughter uses it for swimming, thanks for the share...
Hello Claire, Computer troubles are small things in life - no worries. I am glad to see this video I have left over 24/7 cotton yarn by line brand I am thinking of doing this bag in. Stay Healthy and Take care of YOU! Sincerely, Lisa
Hi. I am from India....I made three bags. And the last one I changed it a little by making one row DC and one row TC..Looks lovely..Thank you for sharing this pattern
Hi from Tasmania. Another great video. Really enjoyed your videos on NZ. They brought back find memories of when we lived there. Keep up the great work.
+bobwilson123 Yeah, they have this system for sizing yarn here in the US which isn't very accurate. Under this system, both Red heart Super Saver and Red Heart Soft are both categorized as 4-Medium. I don't know if you've ever worked with Caron Simply Soft, but it's even thinner than RH Soft, and is also categorized as 4-Medium. This makes no sense, and it makes it very hard to switch yarns when working a pattern. Lousy system. Lol.
Thank you for another well presented and easy to follow tutorial this bag looks so easy will be having a go. wish I could get red heart yarn easier over here but there is plenty of alternatives to find out : )
Clare, did you have to re-film this tutorial because of your computer? If so awwwwww your toke time out of your day to re-film this for your viewers!!!!! Thanks!
G'day Carolyn Guerrero thank you for your comment, yes I think the 4ply cotton will work. Please let me know how you go. Thank you for your continued subscription
I love your videos. I've followed you for about maybe 2 years now. You're amazing!!! One question, could I use the HDC stitch instead of the DC stitch?
Hello *waves* thank you for your continued support :) Yes you can use the hdc stitch, the base will be smaller because the hdc stitch is shorter. You might need to add more rows :)
Hello. Is there away if doin this whole bag in just a single stitch? I'm actually trying to have a purse.. So any tips on doing that would be really nice.. Thank you so much😄
I love Tunisian and if you can on some projects if you put a separate normal crochet border this can help as it pulls the work out obviously this won't work with every project but I've done lap blankets and the border stopped the roll up but it does roll up its the nature of the stitch. : )
I made one doing the middle (chain 20) and I did exactly what you did on the video, 2 Dbc around, then chain 3 and then 1 dbc for 11 rows total. It came out horrible! The opening was HUGE! Even when I single cr around - then I even tried decreasing around.. but it was just too big! I watched your video over and over.. I did exactly what you did except for doing 20 chain instead of 15. Don't know what happened, I spent hours working on it! So frustrated.
Oh no Dawna, how frustrating Can you decrease every 2nd or third stitch around for a few rounds ? I know on hats people accidentally do 2 rounds of the doing the 2 dc in each stitch instead of just one round. Check to see if this is what happened
Zi love the big hook, but I want to give it to my son who shops for me! If I use smaller hook will it be strong enough for him to take to the market and pack groceries? What do you advice for yarn size and hook size. I prefer to use I strand and not 2. But worried about strength. I also want to use Cotten for strength! Ricki🤗
Yes I would use a smaller hook to help with stretching, it will be fine to put groceries in, I use mine for that and it is fine You may like to make the bag smaller than you need because it stretches I know you asked about another cluster bag and i cannot find that comment, so i will reply to you here ua-cam.com/video/BO5kYGJ7tDg/v-deo.html
How about picking the project up after each row to let us beginners know what it SHOULD look like. 😔 after the third row you were doing the handles 😦 I knew it was over for me
after you have finished the 2nd round making 2 double crochets into each stitch you will then do all following rounds as 1 dc into each stitch. you will do this for as many rounds as you want your bag to be. make sure to count your stitches each round to make sure you have the same amount of stitches as you go. once your bag is as big as you want it to be you can start your handles. www.bobwilson123.org/big-bottom-bag.html
Made this bag, for a gift, the pattern was so easy to understand. It turned out awesome, going to make more!!
That's awesome! Thank you for choosing my pattern

Had to order the right hook for this bag today. So excited I get to start it soon. I'm going to stitch a smaller bag to get some practice in .
Yay! you can never have too many hooks. i bet it will look great small as well
Great pattern! I just finished one in the small size. I'll definitely make another.

Hello Reina, Thank you for watching my video and for your great feedback
Turned out nice
Awesome, thank you for watching my video.
I use RH Soft all the time. It's one of my favorite yarns. It's labeled as worsted weight, although it's probably between a DK and a heavier worsted.
I agree with you, its defiantly not a worsted, it is almost the same as our DK yarn :)

Clare, did you have to re-film this tutorial because of your computer? If so awwwwww your toke time out of your day to re-film this for your viewers!!!!! Thanks!
Are there any written directions fo.r this bag?
Love it!
Thank you :)
Cotton is best if you are going to carry anything in it and you don't want it to stretch
Thank you so much Clare I am gonna do it😍😍❤❤❤
Love Love Love
Thank you :)
Can it be made with a single strand of yarn,or does it HAVE to be 2 strands?
yes you can make with one strand of worsted if you like. you will just need more rounds and a size hook to match your yarn.
Love it Awesome! 🖒💜😍
Hello!, what an awesome pattern!, can 4 ply cotton be used? Thank you!
G'day Carolyn Guerrero thank you for your comment, yes I think the 4ply cotton will work. Please let me know how you go. Thank you for your continued subscription
So are we starting with the top or bottom of the bag?
hello, the tutorial starts at the bottom of the bag
awesome thanks!
lovely❤❤

Hello I'm trying to do a bag but I don't know how to Double stitch
this bag video shows ou how to make a double crochet. this video also shows how to make a double crochet ua-cam.com/video/G6k_HdMKYrw/v-deo.html
Congratulations! Nice bag Did you lower the rise in the body of the bag to make the top fairer? Thankful
Hello, No the bag does this shape by itself, thank you for watching
Lindo trabalho.
Hello. Is there away if doin this whole bag in just a single stitch? I'm actually trying to have a purse.. So any tips on doing that would be really nice.. Thank you so much😄
Yes of course ! You may want more increasing though to get the same shape
Thank you
I have a question. I am Tunisian crocheting and it is rolling . How do I stop it from rolling? I used a bigger hook than the yarn asked for. Help !!!
Tunisian crochet is supposed to roll up. After you're done, try blocking the piece so it lays flat.
Hello, as Maribel said it does roll up, I do nto have much experience with Tunisian crochet sorry
I love Tunisian and if you can on some projects if you put a separate normal crochet border this can help as it pulls the work out obviously this won't work with every project but I've done lap blankets and the border stopped the roll up but it does roll up its the nature of the stitch. : )

bobwilson123
Hi, the same thing happened to me. It turns out like a huge flat oval after doing all the rounds...what step are we missing?
Can we put anything heavy inside? Is it dilated?
Yes you can put items inside, it will get bigger and stretch a little
Hi !! From Maryland 🇺🇸 love your videos
Can I use only one strand of yarn ??
Hello, yes you can use 1 strand of yarn :) You will need a crochet hook that is recommended for the yarn you chose
Zi love the big hook, but I want to give it to my son who shops for me! If I use smaller hook will it be strong enough for him to take to the market and pack groceries?
