Watching this video helps me spot fake Rolex’s much easier to be sure. But it really does highlight how absurdly overpriced Rolex watches are. If the fake could get this close for 500, and the factories STILL make a profit on it, I don’t see why the genuine one disproportionally costs so much, even if you include R&D + Marketing in the calculation.
Our purpose was not to highlight the production cost, Dracstar. We only intend to assist people in order for them not to get scammed. However, if you Google for the margins popular watch brands have, you can read some opinions, though this is not our expertise. Of course each brand has its own marketing strategy and it might be the case that Rolex has the most profitable one, but then again, we are only speculating on these subjects. We are going to be spot on in regards to the differences between popular watches and their top replicas.
This is all good, easy to spot if you know the rolex model really good and if you have the genuine right beside you, but when the people start to franken, these using genuine parts with fake, then stuff gets really really hard to spot.
You are right, Mathias, things do get tougher with franken watches! However, you can rely on the rule that if all watch's parts are genuine, you are looking at a genuine watch, while if you find a minimum of one replica element then you are looking at a replica watch.
At the moment there aren't high end replicas of the GMT master 2. Maybe there is the one from ARF factory. Best high end replicas at the moment are Submariner and Datejust from VSF and Daytona from Noob
What's a consumer to do when you walk in to buy an item with cash in hand and the Authorised dealer refuses to sell you the item. I refuse to pay more for a second hand item so I guess a good replica is my only option!!!
Well fransboy, buying the new item (at retail price) from an authorised dealer is a totally different subject. We are aware of it and the marketing/commercial strategy behind it, but cannot discuss it, at least not at this point. In regards to your decision of buying a replica watch, we won't argue with this either. Our objective is to make sure people don't get scammed by paying a much higher amount of money for a pretended genuine watch that turns out to be a replica item.
Dials, hands, datewheels, Crystal......so are all easy change and very reasonably priced for gen parts... buy high end rep and Franken have 1/20th the money outlay and have a watch that only the repairer will be able to tell! Do some more homework...even down to platinum number insert on bezel same as gen!
This is a much deeper subject. However, even for mixed replica watches/franken watches (replicas with genuine parts installed), it can still be relatively easy to authenticate them: one single tell of a replica watch is enough to call it a fake.
If it is symmetrical on both sides and if it is not a large gap through which light passes through, it should be fine. Do you know for a fact that the watch has its original bracelet?
@@LegitCheckByCh Thank you for your response at first I did not understand step 4 because you don’t show in the original how it looks but before checking my Rolex it has to be light through in order that the bracelet will have movement the thing that I understand is the alignment of the logs. Answering your question is yes all original from de AD!
Thanks for your suggestion! We will try to cover other 116710 reference numbers (Batman, Pepsi etc.) in upcoming videos. We wanted to start our video guides with the most popular items, but we are looking into covering some less popular models in upcoming videos.
Glenn, the replica watch present in the video was generally accepted in different communities of specialists as one of the best available at the moment we recorded the video.

@@LegitCheckByCh Definitely understand. Thank you for the informative content!
Rolex are stupidly overpriced! When China company can duplicate 97.5% the modded by owner to 99% for 1/20th to 1/25th the price go figure!
The most detailed video ive seen on the GMTII. Congrats!
Glad it was helpful!
Wonderful analysis, as always! Cheers, man!

I really appreciate the video, nice review, very clear. Beautiful passages of the clip, it do not tire the vision. Nice editing.
Thanks a lot, Manuel! Looking forward to delivering more videos.
the replicas are so scary because the pieces fit in genuine watches now and are swiss movement and gold with crystal display
Not all the pieces fit, but some do fit. Keep an eye on the tells we mentioned and make sure not to get scammed!
@@LegitCheckByCh will do cheers
Chinese factories if they want they can replicate Rolex watches like gen. They do not do it for many reasons

In our video we used what is considered to be the best replica available, in the general opinion.
Yes there is! Using rep 3185 movements!
@@GlennWTaylor most reliable movements are SH3185 or VR3185

The same video with air king ?! Very nice video dude
