- I had one day to see as much as I could of Austin, Texas! We visited everywhere from Barton Springs to the Texas Capitol and a bridge filled with over a million bats. We also found some of the best food Austin has to offer. Too bad I couldn’t bring Matt Walsh to go fishing in Lake Austin with me!

As a native Texan, watching a non-Texan be a TOURIST in Texas and doing classic Texan things like going to the bat bridge, eating tacos, paddle boarding in Lady Bird lake, makes me feel so damn proud. Come back any time, but do yourself a favor and visit some of our comedy clubs, gun ranges, and sports stadiums. We'd love to have you!

As a native Texan, Austin is the worst example of what the state has to offer in way politics and people. DFW, Houston, El Paso, and Austin are blue but other wise it’s all red everywhere else. Don’t let the California transplants fool you.

How did she get around there so much in one day? if one spends one day there, half of it is usually spent sitting in traffic. That flying scooter must have really come in handy.

Also Austin has always been liberal since the 60s it just went from laid backed don't care hippy liberal to violent rude lib when the Californians came in 5 years ago and outside of the big cites it's deep deep deep red. Austin has always been known as the blue berry in the tomato soup.
Just so ya'll know, that clip at 2:37 of Brett on the scooter "flying over the city" is downtown Houston, not part of Austin. As a Houstonian, I won't be letting Austin take any credit for our beautiful city skyline 😂

I’m a fan of both you & JP! Didn’t know he lived in Austin, but then I thought I saw him last year wearing Lederhosen & enjoying an east Austin Biergarten. Later, when his residence was confirmed, I realized it was him! Next time you’re in town, let’s make some kind of event at a local spot & your fans can hang out awhile. BTW there’s a smaller bat colony a bit north, on IH-35 at McNeil Road in Round Rock. You often see a few ppl sitting on a nearby lawn waiting to see them come out. Easy to find - you can smell the guano a few blocks away!

Im from San Antonio Texas Born and raised and I love seeing people enjoy our beautiful capitol! Back in highschool it was a weekend day trip for us to just go and enjoy Austin.
Austin is fun to visit, but we all know San Antonio is the real heart of Texas.

We just returned from our 1st trip to Texas. We were at Fort Cavazos & planned to spend a day in Austin but it was too hot & humid 🥵. Thanks for the great ideas for the next visit - which will hopefully not be in the summer.

Three places in Texas I recomend visiting are Fort Worth, Waco and Glen Rose. Also you got to check out at least one of the Rural areas in East Texas, I recommend checking out Lake Fork. Lake Fork happens to be the bass fishing capital, there are also some really nice and neat resteraunts in the towns surrounding Lake Fork. Some resteraunts around Lake Fork include Verona Italian Cafe, and Don's Restaurant. Now if you do come back to Texas, two resteraunt you have to eat at is Hard Eight BBQ and Prairie House. They have amazing food.
