Like yourselves we have had mixed experiences (mostly good) We love the location and the fact that its not a tourist trap, the views are great and the price is fair, that for us is what we go for. We are also from Barnsley so fairly laid back until S#@T hits the fan 😂

We were away to Kyle of Lochalsh and Oban and we spent a peaceful time for two nights, then the other two nights were horrendous with severe wind (need to stop feeding my hubby beans) and rain which kept us awake all night. Hiya, there are 2 dog beachers at Filey at both ends of the main beach. There's also a lovely little family run camp site called Centenary. I'd try it next time you want to go to Filey.

From Glasgow but we used to holiday as kids in Scarborough and Filey for years staying in the Crowsnest holiday park about two miles from where you are. We used to hire whatever year it was new static. Very fond memories, I learned to drive down there as my dad just let me drive the the whole holiday when I passed at 17 many years ago. Still love the roads and went back last year for the day as I was staying in York for a few days.

I remember a week holiday from Bradford to Filey June 1965 as a kid, Mum and Dad would take me down to the beach and had a few donkey rides, then me and the daughter of the donkey ride owners sat together making sand castles, there was a kodak color photo my mum kept of us two together, then last year Mum passed away at 93, I can't find that photo and my sister has not got it either, I was heart broken even at 5 when we had to leave Filey and my new friend from the beach Ps my sister born March 1966 hmm work out the dates🤣 Gaz Yorkshire coast. @@Stchristopherofatlantis I've never been one to be a global warming denier, but the level of gas lighting by the BBC etc for the first 6 months of this year has made me think again.
We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely weather for most of the week. We've been staying there at least once a year for a long time now and have never had any issues with the staff. They've always been pleasant and helpful. I do agree about the refund policy though. They cancelled us at the last minute last year due to the pitches being waterlogged and we could only get a credit note. It wasn't really an issue for us as we stay often but it would be an issue for someone who could not easily return.
No meat on that kebab was heart breaking, does look lovely though. Looks a fantastic place to visit. Will put filey on my list to visit. Can overlook the negative reviews for the site being in a good location, maybe a 10amp supply why it kept tripping? Keep up the ace videos 🎉

His toenail is kept in filey limb Barry and handed from exiting mayor to entering mayor at the Masonic hall under great pomp and ceremony (I know.. I had to sit through its few times as my former father in law was mayor on a number of occasions)….

No. The landlord put the rent up far too much. So… moved out into my micro camper. (It was not bought with full time living in mind). However, it’s a nice (but cliquey) community and I’d live there again. I taught in the local school for a number years the local kids are largely lovely.@@Stchristopherofatlantis
You carn’t beat Filey , we will be there in July and a few beers in Smugglers . Magic. You have to remember that Filey Brigg country park is built on clay.

Food festival is just overpriced rubbish.The Belle View is full of local fruitcakes.The Crescent and the gardens is gods waiting room.The campsite is a tsunami.All you needed for a welcome to Filey tourist guide completion is gaining footage of the the 4 rowed children's buggy,followed by the 4 dogs on retractable leads,the dive bombing seagulls,the papapa of the Nugget boy racers,the day trippers who steal local residents parking because they refuse to do pay and display.The bellow of over sugared children,the small bore Olympic dog foul dodge.The non existent atms that dispense actual cash,the 2 mile an hour oap's that rest their heads on the steering wheel going the wrong way on a one way street,the local shops that consist of cafe after cafe and charity shop after charity shop.The local who believes they have a god given right to to a bar stool with their imaginary name on it,the asbo hoodie club who take great pleasure in trying to steal money out of the wishing well,the never ending wasted resources because rotunda daddy thinks he knows best and takes the rest of his family along the Brigg during high tide.These are sites and sounds of the real Filey.Love the video BTW.

We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely weather for most of the week. We've been staying there at least once a year for a long time now and have never had any issues with the staff. They've always been pleasant and helpful. I do agree about the refund policy though. They cancelled us at the last minute last year due to the pitches being waterlogged and we could only get a credit note. It wasn't really an issue for us as we stay often but it would be an issue for someone who could not easily return.

No. The landlord put the rent up far too much. So… moved out into my micro camper. (It was not bought with full time living in mind). However, it’s a nice (but cliquey) community and I’d live there again. I taught in the local school for a number years the local kids are largely lovely.@@Stchristopherofatlantis

Food festival is just overpriced rubbish.The Belle View is full of local fruitcakes.The Crescent and the gardens is gods waiting room.The campsite is a tsunami.All you needed for a welcome to Filey tourist guide completion is gaining footage of the the 4 rowed children's buggy,followed by the 4 dogs on retractable leads,the dive bombing seagulls,the papapa of the Nugget boy racers,the day trippers who steal local residents parking because they refuse to do pay and display.The bellow of over sugared children,the small bore Olympic dog foul dodge.The non existent atms that dispense actual cash,the 2 mile an hour oap's that rest their heads on the steering wheel going the wrong way on a one way street,the local shops that consist of cafe after cafe and charity shop after charity shop.The local who believes they have a god given right to to a bar stool with their imaginary name on it,the asbo hoodie club who take great pleasure in trying to steal money out of the wishing well,the never ending wasted resources because rotunda daddy thinks he knows best and takes the rest of his family along the Brigg during high tide.These are sites and sounds of the real Filey.Love the video BTW.
