My unpopular opinion is that I enjoy the enchanting, mending and anvil systems.
      Yeah...
I love the enchanting mechanic and grinding for xp. Trying to make a full armor set and tools with the best enchantments was very fun. I played on a server with custom enchantments and it was really fun for me to farm insane amounts of xp to create perfect armor and tool sets that I could then sell. Now I think in default modern minecraft though it's way too easy to get perfect gear and to farm xp. I prefered when you needed to drain ocean monuments to make amazing xp farms instead of a 3x3 pit with infested armadillos. Also villagers selling books sort of ruined the whole need for enchanting. I think there needs to be an enchanting update of some kind to make it more interesting once again. As for mending... even though I'd benefit from mending not existing since that'd mean more things for me to enchant, I think overall it was a good addition, it still requires xp so I am not complaining. Making xp farms is very fun. As for the anvil, I think it's greatly misunderstood which makes it frustrating to use. The fact that there's a certain way to combine things to make it less expensive is what makes it so fun and interesting in my opinion. It's just unfortunately not very intuitive. I know I am in the minority but they are really fun for me.

    "Roleplay isn't cringe, actually"
Is totally mine, my besties have the mindset of max gear and pretty builds,,, but never really spend time in their builds to exist and have fun, and for me I find role-playing a character in a build helps me feel part of the world :') It can be sweet to slow down

I have trouble connecting with builds that, while technically impressive, don't tell a _story._ I don't even mean, like, a cohesive narrative, but the idea that interesting things *happen* in those places. For a good example, I *love* FalseSymmetry's base right now in Hermitcraft Season 10-all her little robots and other base denizens have character, and her underground area suggests a setting so post-apocalyptic that the original cataclysm is completely forgotten.

    • @gales6064

@OpenBagTwo THAT'S TRUE TOO, And it should be stated I'm not normally the type to build things that don't possess the potential for a story of their own!
If I built things without consideration for the world and a story in particular I'd probably struggle to connect too,,,

      @KitKitsuneVixen 14 днів тому +1

@@OpenBagTwo that's interesting, i've never thought about that until now.
      - For me, the builds i have trouble connecting with are ones that are just technically impressive in general. i am a very casual builder and i personally wouldn't have fun building with all sorts of rules and techniques, so when i see an overly complex build i just kind of feel alienated by it.
using logic, i know that they must just be having fun in a different way to me, but that doesn't get through to the emotions part of my brain.

I just closed my new made Minecraft world and I've found such a fun way to play involving this, I have been in a burnout for so much time, I started this world in 1.8 and ngl, I was already having fun, then I stumbled upon this badly generated pool 1 block deep with squids in it and I was like "damn that must suck..." I was planning to leave and find the perfect place to build an house, but I couldn't hold myself and started expanding that lake, I made the corners secure because I know squids are kinda stupid, then I started to build a bridge over that lake, with a wheat farm with a canal that squids can use to come up and see me. I think those squids got my heart, I understood what Minecraft is about now, I also am having fun just feeding chickens, without killing them, just giving them seeds, this is my new favourite way of playing Minecraft

@@oldbasicoutsider It's better for mods as well, like better combat, basic weapons, epic knights etc that had a huge Varity of weapons and better combat adding better animations for fighting with. Personally i hated the mob vote (Moronic to condemn three or two other mobs to oblivion instead of adding them all with their own little themes and blocks), the elytra i don't care about since render distance will either prevent, hinder or allow you to use it. And the pale garden needs bigger more winding trees, unique ambience, abandoned villagers, ash, fog and music cutting out completely when you enter it.

The way Jeb described the Warden as "An Oncoming Storm you avoid, because you wouldn't fight a Storm" brought so much more fear into the story of the Warden and something I think a simple Boss Fight would misdemeanor. Sometimes, running away from a challenge you're not meant to win has much more impact than trying to fight a literal storm...
I'm of course not saying "run from your problems" or "quit fighting because you have no chance"!
You CAN fight the Warden. But because the Warden drops nothing shows me even more that your Survival and Traversal of the Storm IS the reward, for there is no reward for getting struck by lightning other than maybe live to tell the tale.

although if you wanted to optimise your villagers and you already had a specific build in mind, then i can see how that mechanic would get in the way. maybe there could be a way to change their Likes or add a Like, like how real people can like new things after they've tried them

    • @brunoreis4455

As an full redstone engineer I will say, I have to agree on that to an point, the fun of redstone is the engineering, is trying to do something and failing over and over untill it works.
So when people (specially on servers) just google tutorials, make farms that do 1000+ itens per minute and than complain there is nothing to do, heck congrats you ruined the fun for yourself and others :/
Also lord not everything has to be the most optimized setup every time, not only removes you actually playing the game (like yo sometimes I just like the good old manual way) but also is fum to go back after you think of a better design, and there goes the engineering creativity again
But ya wish people would just stop everything being meta this and meta that bruh

the great thing about redstone farms is
      1) The process of engineering these often disparate mechanics into a greater machine, performing a single function
      2) Farms provide you with a legit source for large amounts of resources. Having to farm for all your resources manually takes away time you could be spending otherwise.
If you reach the point of just standing in front of a farm that is annoying. yes.
Most farms however run perfectly fine while do your own thing in your base.

It feels like the stuff they’ve been adding to these updates lately is purely building blocks and quality of life stuff, with these weird mini-boss things that don’t drop anything useful. I also agree with elytra. Another downside is I HATE making gunpowder farms to make the rockets and I've done that about three times. Minecraft inventory is already small so if I have to waste room for rockets it's just more management I have to do. I don't make super tall builds either so it's not a need.

I think similar to how people play Minecraft, people use Elytras in their own way too. For me I use them to travel between established bases (usually because I forgot something and don't want to spend 15 minutes walking back and forth) I will never use an Elytra to explore new chunks. This works for me and it seems fair. I set my world to peaceful when I'm doing something where having mobs just ruins the enjoyment of the process. For example I drained an Ocean Monument on peaceful because I wanted to build an awesome village, not because i wanted the challenge of fighting drowns and having to constantly eat and sleep to avoid mobs. I finally found a Pale Garden where i took 1 creaking heart block and some saplings back to may base. I will build a resin farm and never go back there again. @gales6064 16 днів тому +10

You suggested a list, so I'll explain the ones i disagree or have opinions on! :>
Old textures! I'm a texture artist for a few mods and a Beta texture pack. I learned quickly "smooth" textures can become horrible, quickly. Minecraft needs contrast to establish their unique patterns, and if every one were smooth, we might as well build with dyed concrete :')
Elytras are great imo, but they shouldn't have the capability to be boosted by Fireworks! If you ever played the console legacy editions, they had a mini game called glide! the important part of that game was that the Elytra didn't have infinite flight time, you had to conserve momentum to complete the course :> It felt skillful to use, but rockets made elytra flight conservation irrelevant!
Multiplayer is better, but it sounds like you've had horrible server hosts :') I've hosted 4 worlds for my friend groups over 5 years, and each time i made a copy of the world available for everyone! I sometimes load up an old world i used to have with them!
Otherwise i agreed with your thoughts!! Thanks for sharing them and sorry for commenting twice LMAO

1:58 I recently started doing scout worlds with my survival worlds. How it works is that I make a survival world without cheats, and then I use the recreate feature to make a copy of that world in creative, and with cheats, called a scout world. If at any time in my regular survival world I need to find a structure, or an optimal route to reach a structure, I leave my survival world, go to the scout world, head for the location of that structure, and then go into spectator mode and scout out the structure, and the area around it. I'm not sure if it's indirect cheating, because my survival world has no cheats, but the scout one does. What is your opinion on that, Luvstar?

in my Forever World though, i think i wont explore too much during the early days of the world; i dont need every single block or every single structure or every single biome, i just want to build my little builds. so i should be good to explore more later on without needing a Scout world (but eventually i might end up needing one anyway, who knows)

With out it, it looks so much like the dark oak trees that you grow with their saplings. It's just doesn't have it's own character to it. My only downside to the pale gardens, my opinion at least.

The whole new resin stuff? I need to go through ten thousands of blocks to find new mansions to get some resin clumps and it's not much either. There's no other way to get it. Pain. Just because I choose to play peaceful I don't think I should suffer finding all blocks you could potentially build with and/or not get like 50% of the new content.

All of these are agreeable, and I love single player most too, but more honestly I feel like co-op with the right person is twice as fun. All my forever worlds with my sister have felt better than my single player ones with the added memories and moments you don’t get from playing alone. It just added to the comfort of the world. But corrupted worlds hit twice as hard. 😔
One of my opinions is current infinite world generation is terrible. The vastness would be so much more enjoyable if the algorithm was better and biomes loaded more efficiently. It’s too clunky having to travel 5,000 blocks to get that one ingredient you’re craving from another biome, not to mention you almost always need a seed map to not waste too much time.

I think the pale garden needs some work but is good. I always hated birch being the white plank and pale oak and giant spruce are excellent "bulk lumber" together. I think that all the pale garden needs is additional mob spawning mechanics (for example lighting does not prevent spawns at night would be a good change) which would force the player to look away from the creaking more often. If it's just too easy to keep the creaking in one place by lighting up the place and preventing mob spawns, then the creaking is underwhelming. I also think that because the pale garden changes the ambience, having mobs spawn regardless of lighting would make building there much more challenging and make the whole thing more "content-ful"

  • @shaycollins

I think the elytra is fine where it is. I personally like to make mega builds and have an expansive world, travelling between places takes so long with other transportation methods. Other than the nether portals. I think the horses should be a lot faster since they're faster than donkeys and camels irl. Lastly, I think the other modes of transportation should be improved in some way to make them more appealing.

  • @BSLatinWord
    @BSLatinWord 16 днів тому +2

I'll just leave my opinion for each and everyone of these opinions...
Playing with cheats is fine: On single player, absolutely. You play how you want. You want to keep everything default? that's fine. You want to put on as many handicaps as the world can handle? Perfectly fine as well. It's your world; play how you want!
Old Textures Were Better: Mixed. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug, and having played since 2012, I'm no exception lol. While I do think the old textures have their own retro charm to them that may be pleasing to some, a majority of the textures, in my opinion, are just so ugly (Looking at you, Netherrack!) Personally, I love how everything in the new textures blend together. It may be too smooth to some, but personally I think it looks prettier than ever. Also the items (non-blocks) are infinitely better than they could have ever looked pre-1.14
Pale Garden is Kinda Lame: I like its aesthetic. The Pale Oak building blocks are some of my new favorites building templates, but Resin and Resin Bricks are pretty ugly. I think the Creaking is an interesting mob as well. Even if I personally like it, I can totally see how some people would find it underwhelming or lame.
New Combat System is Clunky: Fast-paced combat is fun and all, but, and forgive me if this sounds rude, I like to think when I'm battling things. Sure, it's much simpler to just hold w and mash the hell out of m1, but it feels like the new combat is much more about important decision making and overall feeling like a more realistic situation. There's more of an incentive to pick your battles, something I really enjoy in video games. The old combat was just "kill it before it kills you" with basically nothing else to it. I'm not a huge fan of that design philosophy.
The Mob Vote was fun: The first one led to what is widely agreed to be the worst mob in the game, and the second one was totally rigged. The next three were pretty underwhelming. Personally, I'm glad it's gone because of how divisive it was for a community event. As for me, I liked the idea; I just think that completely scrapping the mobs was a horrible decision.
Elytras should not be used: Agree to disagree. I love fast mobility in games, and Elytra is no exception. Who knew that the post game structures designed to have godlike loot would give me godlike loot. As you said, it's not like having Elytra forces you to use it: use any mode of transportation you want. I just love moving fast :)
Villagers Deserve Rights: Once you make a breeder and cramped trading hall, there's no going back. It may violate many health codes and conventions and what not, but I value the efficiency of villagers. Don't blame me: it's not my fault that trading is unbalanced as hell.
Some People Play too Quickly: YES! If you're on single player, you do you. But on multiplayer, some people just take it way too seriously. Enjoy the game with your friends while you can! Give them a chance to contribute on the main progression!
Singleplayer is better than Multiplayer: Servers on Java Edition are complicated to set up, and I'm not paying for Realms. That being said, I've always preferred playing with other people. Not only can singleplayer get kind of boring, but playing with people never leaves me short on ideas for projects I could work on with my own thoughts and their recommendations and contributions.
The Warden was a Missed Opportunity: Probably the only one I completely disagree with. The developers straight up confirmed that the warden is not designed to be fought and that there's 0 incentive to fight it anyway. A drop from it would be nice, but would ultimately be missing the entire point of the mob's existence: to terrorize those who made too much noise. (Further emphasized by the Darkness Debuff making it harder to run away.)
Those who think Minecraft is boring are missing the point: It's a sandbox game; it's only boring if you make it boring.
If any of this came off rude, I apologize. I'm rather passionate about my opinions...

    @CosmoIdeon204 16 днів тому +3

Gonna list my responses and my opinions:
1-Cheats: Agree. In single player it's not all that big of a deal. People play however they want to, so if they want to play if cheats they can.
2-Old Textures: Disagree. The old textures just look too rough to hold up in comparison to the new ones. They looked fine back then but the new textures just outclass them in my opinion.
3-Pale Garden: I don't have an opinion since I haven't seen it yet in my own world.
4-New Combat System: Disagree. I enjoy the new combat system. Damaging and killing multiple enemies is just so satisfying that I wouldn't have it any other way. It might also just be because I prefer much slower paced combat.
5-Mob Vote: Disagree. The mob vote had the problem of that they would introduce multiple mobs that people would get attached to different ones and it just was so unfair that the ones who lost were basically never going to come to the game. So, people would vote for the one they want. They would lose and get upset and spread negativity online and just ruin everyone's day. It drives a divide in the community that has no reason to exist.
6-Elytras: Disagree. The elytra has saved so much time looking for stuff like structures that I could never part with my beloved wings. They've also saved me so many times whenever I fall off a ledge when I'm building or something. The time saved is just so good that I don't feel sorry for the other forms of transport.
7-Villagers: Agree. Yeah, they do deserve better. Not much more to say about that.
8-Player Pace: Disagree. It's a single player game, people can play however fast they want. People sometimes find endgame more appealing when fighting things like the Wither then dealing with slowly gathering resources. It's totally up to them.
9-Singleplayer v. Multiplayer: Agree. Playing with friends causes me to more quickly get bored when we are just more so there to hang out then to actually play the game. We usually start a world, then just switch to playing something else. Whereas with singleplayer I'm more inclined to keep playing since, I don't know why, I just keep playing and having fun.
10-Warden: I haven't seen them in my own world yet, so I don't have an opinion on this yet.
11-"Minecraft is Boring" people: Agree. I feel that those people are looking for something in Minecraft that isn't there. Like an in-depth combat progression and leveling-up system similar to more combat based games like Terraria and such. Or an advanced and well-defined story to guide them along. But Minecraft just isn't that game.
I hope that my responses were clear enough to understand. Although there were two were I didn't have an opinion simply due to the fact that I haven't experienced them for myself.

I really don’t like how the addition of the mace made it so you can instantly kill the warden, I know it’s not as simple as stacking up some blocks and plunge attacking because of the wardens ranged attacks, but it’s become a lot easier. I wish the warden had some special code that limited the damage it could take in a single instance.
It honestly feels like they only added the creaking in order to add a mob that couldn’t be instantly killed and to add the role of ‘a mob you want to avoid/dont fight’ in place of the warden, since you can essentially one shot them now.

I agree that "cheating" in your own solo world is totally fine. However, I would recommend caution. I completely destroyed my interest in the game for like a year by cheating. There was a Bedrock glitch where you could duplicate a shulker box and everything in it. I used this to give myseld tons of diamonds, all the best enchanted books, beacons, basically everything valuable (this was in 1.16 so before netherite). At first, it was fun being super OP and never needing anything. But it also ended up making the game boring. I had no goals, no way to make progress since I had everything I could ever want. Of course at that point you could say "Go build cool stuff!" but I've never been much of a builder, I'm getting better but especially back then my builds were purely functional. So when I didn't need farms, or anything else, I completely lost interest in the game.
Tl;dr - Cheating is fine if you want to. But make sure it's enhancing your experience, and not accidentally ruining it.

In regards to your comments about the Warden and Ancient Cities and your whole point of view on minecraft being a sandbox: my own personal goal is to take my time in an ancient city and disable/remove all the shrieker blocks and take the city back from the warden. I think it's a cool thing to do. Also, there is ONE reason to go to ancient cities if you have keep inventory off, 8 echo shards, found in chests, can make a recovery compass which is a vanilla item that lets you find your corpse like gravestone mods.
Edit: also, it's one of the few places where normal mobs won't spawn as long as you seal off any normal caves leading to it, so it's a great place to spruce up and start a village by taking some villagers down. And because it's deep underground and safe, I get the best of both worlds, a village where the villagers can just vibe without "trading halls" and "breeders" but also be safe regardless of AI issues.

Im gonna list each one and whether I agree/disagree and my reasons why:
    1. Cheats - Disagree, I get why people use it but for me it makes things feel not earned.
    2. Old Textures - Absolutely agree, the old ones were better and are a huge reason as to why Minecraft lost that nostalgia aspect on vanilla.
    3. Pale Garden - Kinda disagree, objectively it's lame but subjectively I like it.
    4. Combat - Agree, I like spamming swords.
    5. Mob Vote - Agree, Minecraft players are just selfish and immature so they can't handle their logic behind why a certain mob should win being questioned.
    6. Elytra - Agree, I play MCPE so personally never use them but yeah it makes other modes of transport useless.
    7. Villagers - Agree, they are useful and ads ambiance to the game.
    8. People Playing Quickly - THE BIGGEST AGREE, I wholeheartedly believe this is the MAIN reason Minecraft on youtube sucks now a days, because people start a world and on the first episode of their long lets plays, they already have diamonds and a mansion....like noooooo.
    9. Singlplayer - Agree, even though I have my world with my friend, I do dislike how much some of my favorite youtubers seem to depend on multiplayer for views (cough* LDShadowlady, Smallishbeans, Joey Graceffa.....and that whole group) like do they not know how to function by themselves.
    10. Warden - Agree, not much to say.
    11. Minecraft Boring Judgers - I agree, people are too addicted to being guided through rpg style games, not every game needs a main focus on violenece.

The cooldown is super annoying to me because you can attack in between your cooldown. It would be a lot nicer if you just weren't able to attack at all in between the cooldown. Then you could still spam left click and it wouldn't feel as tedious. For PvP I think it's fine as is, but for survival it just gets realllllly tedious imo.

Literally cheats are so important in the long term. I wouldn’t be able to build half of the things I have if I didn’t have cheats on. Whether it’s not being able to find the blocks I need or constantly dying in the early game, it’s soo essential for me to have cheats when the main purpose of the world is to build. Especially when I’m paying $15 a month for a server. I don’t have the time to die over and over again and lose all the blocks I need or travel thousands of blocks just to get what I need and then travel the same distance back to my house. I still feel bad when I cheat but I probably wouldn’t be as invested in Minecraft if it weren’t for cheats. There certainly are game modes where it works without cheats, but for my purposes it’s great. And I totally get why people don’t like them, but that’s just my experience.

Thank you for sharing your opinions. I think it really gives a lot of insight into you as a player. I think it is better for players to have a lot of different opinions. Part of the beauty of the game.
My thoughts on what you discussed:
    1. Yes! I totally agree with you on this one. I think people should be able to play the game however they want. If more people opened themselves up to using cheats it might help some people to find the game more fun if they use cheats to bypass a part of the game that they find no enjoyment or reward from.
    2. I actually have been playing since the old days, but I don't really have an opinion on this one lol
    3. I agree that the pale garden isn't extremely exciting, but I think the way they are approaching updates is going to be way healthier for the devs instead of massive themed updates.
    4. No opinion on the combat system since I suck on both versions of it.
    5. I agree on the mob vote being fun. I think it was mostly the very online loud part of the community that kind of ruined things.
    6. It does suck when older aspects of the game seemingly become redundant, but at least we aren't forced to use elytras. We can still play how we want. I do wish they would add more benefits to the other forms of transportation, but it seems like it would be very difficult to do. I do love elytras for youtube videos. I've actually never used one myself as I have never gone to beat the enderdragon.
    7. I agree with you that it is kind of sad how people use villagers, but maybe there should be more rewards and penalties for how you treat the villagers? I think it easy for people to disregard their humanity because the game kind of incentivizes you to? I do also understand the appeal of going crazy with efficiency and developing the world. I know it isn't serious, but maybe its better for people to express their more problematic colonial tinged fantasies in video games instead of the real world.
8.Yeah I agree with this if you are in a group. Mostly because I am pretty slow at the game myself.
    9. I like both, but I haven't really played with too many strangers. I just play with my partner whenever I do play.
    10. I like your idea of a boss restricting access to a cool area instead of having a drop. I hope they implement something like that in the future.
    11. I agree that people miss the point who call it boring. I think there is a play style that could appeal to most people. They might just be playing the game in a way that doesn't appeal to them personally.
    My unpopular opinions:
    1. I think Minecraft has been moving in a good direction after it was acquired by Microsoft. I think the game is much better now than it used to be. Although I still like the old versions of the game.
    2. I think I enjoy making a bunch of new worlds instead of just having a forever world. I think I should probably try both. This might just be my ADHD talking.
Also I recently sent a personal email expressing my appreciation of your channel. My apologies if that email is for business purposes only.

      1. yes, i agree. would minecraft even still be receiving updates in 2025 if microsoft hadnt bought it? and look at what's been added to the game since then, you cant really be upset that it exists.
      2. i'm not sure about my preferences regarding Forever Worlds yet. i've only had 1 proper long-term world, it lasted 5 years and i'm about to move on from it.
i'm hoping to start a new Forever World, but it could turn out that it doesn't last "forever" and that i do just need to restart every few years.
Like, maybe what i need from a Minecraft world is to just build until it starts to feel dated, or maybe i just needed those 5 years of experience before i could start a Forever World proper. i won't know unless it happens.
(i wrote this because maybe there's something you could learn from my experience if you wanted to start a Forever World)
the 5 year world was intended as a Forever World, but i left because:
My building preferences have evolved so much over the years that everything i've created in the world FEELS old.
i look at the builds and they don't feel like they were made by, or for, the same me of today.
like, nowadays i'd want my space to look completely different. If i am to continue playing Minecraft, i wouldn't want to live in the same area i started 5 years ago.
there's nothing even about the original world that i want to expand on.
so the world feels very tied to the past.
(btw, nothing wrong with having 1 Forever World and a million side-worlds.
one of my side-worlds is actually part of the reason i realised i want to leave my 5 year world. there is a huge contrast between builds from the side-world and builds from the 5 year world, and i prefer the new builds from the side-world)

I feel like the mob vote just needed to be reworked. I'm an artist and I oftentimes let my audience vote on which piece I should do next to give them a sense of involvement in my work, but I ALWAYS make the loser next. Personally, if we were given the choice between the 1.9 and 1.8 systems, I'd still keep the clunkiness of the 1.9 instead of the left click spamming mess that was the 1.8 combat (which really showed its flaws in multiplayer)

The thing about villagers, for me, is after spending several hours making a safe environment (they had holes to lava in their walking path) they wouldn't go back to their beds, or they'd unlink from their jobsite block and try to take someone else's. And on, more than a dozen occasions, they would simply run outside of their safety wall at night, while monsters were out!
It's the most frustrating experience to watch a villager pass over an empty bed at night, in the same room, to run outside and straight into the explosive embrace of a creeper. Yes, I replaced all their doors with fence gates. Yes, I make them all specialized halls with honey blocks so they cant jump out anymore. Didn't want to resort to it, but it's the only way to keep Mr. and Mrs. Beetroot from following their son/daughter to a smp upstate.

The pale garden, while a borderline lame feature, still adds a nice touch of grayscale to a colorful world. In addition, we now have white wood, which is going to be a huge hit for builders! And another cool thing is orange resin, and its bricks. As a guy whose favorite color is orange, I am glad to be using resin not only in building, but armor trimming. It's orange is much better than the brownish orange excuse coper trims try to pull.

I am a game designer myself and I do agree that the concept of avoiding the warden is flawed. A good middle ground, as you said, would be a stealth based fight. Instead of a fight about speed and efficiency like with the dragon or wither, I think the warden should be fought carefully and fought like solving a puzzle. Teach the player to attempt various different tactics. We see this type of combat in the Half-Life games. Every encounter is dealt with like solving puzzle. If you die, you did something wrong, and if you keep dying, you need to try something else. There are an infinite amount of ways to deal with a situation, and an infinitely more infinite approaches that will result in failure.
Instead of dying and reloading, resetting the encounter would instead involve the player running away, hiding in a wall, and regenerating health through food. When surrounded by blocks, the player would be in a state where they can do no harm and no harm can come to them. They would wait inside as they regenerate health, and use this time to figure out what to do next. To prevent the player from hitting the boss and running away over and over, the boss could regenerate health when it's not being attacked.
The fight would have to be carefully balanced. The player should be able to try something, have time to recognize that it isn't working, and then back off before they die, reevaluating their strategy. However, the game should still punish those who commit too hard and don't know when to back down. This fight should also humble the player, show them that they aren't as powerful as they think they are, that even with full armor, they aren't invincible, and need to calculate their moves.
I believe Minecraft should be an endless cycle of the player being presented with an obstacle that first requires the player to progress to a certain level of advancement before crossing it. Mobs like Zombies and Skeletons are a threat in early game, but once the player has acquired sufficient gear, these mobs are no longer a threat and can be defeated with ease. Once the player reaches this point, they've conquered the Overworld and are ready to venture to the Nether, and the cycle should continue indefinitely.
However, the Nether is no significant upgrade from the Overworld in terms of difficulty, and everything past this is flawed. Mojang should focus on fixing the gameplay loop as opposed to the random and nonsensical additions we've seen. Like for example, once the player has reached the point where they're ready to fight the warden, they can open the reinforced deepslate portal and venture into a new dimension that presents it's own challenges the player must overcome to conquer, as well as the key to progressing beyond this point.

-The New combat System is great, the solo Player can decide if he uses a sword for crowd control or If he uses an axe for Single entity combat, the pvp scene highly benefits from it as the one hitting first is no longer the one who has the higher chances of winning as even fighting your oponent will work in way more creative ways sind many Tools that were not even meant for fighting in the first place.
-Elytra are great and as many things when you go way too fast for your PC to pick up the area render Ing just turn down your render distance so your hard drive has not to work so hard to keep up with your speed.
-The waren feels realy unreWARDing, for that reason I have installed a mod named the deeper dark or something like that wich makes the waren drop his heart to open up the big Portal in the ancient citys heart

Here are a few of my Minecraft hot takes:
    1. More people should use more texture packs! Too many people either only ever play with vanilla textures, or pick one texture pack and stick with it forever. Have some fun! Download 20 of them and change it up daily! Experiment!!
    2. More people should try playing with just 1 or 2 mods, instead of either 0 or 300. Vanilla is great, I've played more vanilla Minecraft than anything, and giant modpacks are great too, I've played lots of hours with those, but maybe try just installing your one favorite mod from that big modpack on its own, really explore that mod and have fun with it, build a whole world where you get to focus on what that mod does best.
    3. Minecraft needs to totally rework the hunger mechanics, so that the super lazy "kill a cow with a fire aspect sword" steak isn't _nearly_ the best food item in the entire game on top of being one of the easiest to collect, and things like pumpkin pie and mushroom stew that actually require effort to craft are so low quality.

I feel like a lot of people are obsessed with having every piece of content immediately available to them and fit into some kind of “progression”. But that just makes every world and play through feel so alike. I think the Pale Garden is exactly the type of update I’ve been wanting, it’s relatively rare and you don’t HAVE to go there. The old textures are more stylized and rough and that has just as much charm, it's mainly what you want minecraft to look like, modern or classic.
Pale Garden: I feel the same for most new additions, I think new biomes and stuff are fun but I hate how much is locked to specific areas without easy ways to find them, if you make something too good then you're forced to find it (like fortresses or bastions for progression) but if you make something that's not good enough no one will care for it, biomes should look good, instead of just having good stuff. Also let us get maps to new places without the cartographer villagers, I hate searching thousands of blocks and not finding anything and I also hate the villager mechanics with cycling trades and building halls, like I think villagers are fine but they shouldn't be soo much better than normal enchanting, or one of the only ways to find stuff. Make ruined portals have nether fortress maps and bastion maps, have shipwrecks hold ancient city and trial chamber maps. Make finding small stuff while exploring lead to big stuff while exploring.
Elytras: I like elytras, I like the option and the work to get them is enough to justify their usefulness, I just think that other options need to be better, I think horses are fine being egh because they're pets as well as transport but minecarts should be able to link together, so even in endgame you can use them for bulk transport with a train of chests or carts for villagers, elytra can be personal transport but for everything else people need to turn to the wondrous world of rain
Warden: I think the avoiding part is the best part because they are terrifying, I think there should be more mini boss as mentioned but the warden doesn't need to be one of them. Although ancient cities should have a better loot, maybe have them hold keys to unlock a special chest in the trial chambers or something else, make them a place that's a step to something else, I think sneaking in to steal the key to get to something feels much better than just getting rid of the amazing horror element of the cities.

    1 - I play Creative 24/7 lol. I'm getting into Survival slowly.
2 - I think it depends on the block... not overall bad or good.
3 - The wood signs are perfect, it feels like most of the wooden ones are kinda dark. It's the only think I like about it but in general... not really good block set...
    4 - *Creative player confusion*
5 - I wish we had the penguim just to give some life to the snowy biomes.
6 - I don't know... I never found one without cheating or testing in creative mode...
7 - Nein, I just don't like the traveller with Llamas, they keep getting in my way when I'm building...
    8 and 9 - I think it really depends...
    10 - Agreed...

I walked over 6000 blocks to find the pale garden, ran back home to grab all my best to take it on. This took all afternoon, several hours, only for me to get killed not 5 minutes after I got their. I was sure I would loose all of my best stuff. When I work up back in my bed, at home, I was mad, I mean really mad. I ran out, not thinking to grab food, or a weapon, ran back, and got killed 500 blocks away from my stuff. I got killed twice, but on the third try, I did get all my junk back, not sure how that worked, but I almost quit my game after that. Thank you for the video, sorry for the rant.

You successfully changed my mind on the Warden point, I've always defended the design of the Ancient City but you're right, it is a missed opportunity for an interesting boss fight. Mojang could have had it both ways if they'd wanted to, it could be something that would be way too difficult to fight early game, and even late game would be extremely inconvenient with a chance of death if you summoned it unintentionally, so that there is that challenge of traversing the Ancient City quietly, but there should still be a strategy to actually summon and kill the Warden if the player is prepared for it.

The only opinion you shared that I would like to comment on is your single player/multiplayer take. I feel that an intimate multiplayer experience is Minecraft at its finest. Example: my wife and I share a world. It is so much fun being able to have a small intimate world with people you love and love spending time with, whether that be your partner or a couple friends. The key though is that everyone needs to be on the same page with how things work.

man your videos are a breath of fresh air, as someone who has been playing a bunch of fps games, some of them live service, i got so sick of people's never-ending thirst for updates for updates' sake, so seeing someone simply enjoy a game i used to spend so much time on in such a simple (don't mean simple in a bad way, more of a compliment really) way feels really refreshing, as for your opinions:
playing with cheats - i was never really a fan of it but obviously won't judge someone for doing it in their own world
old textures - yeah i like them too, but i don't really mind the new ones, but then again i am REALLY not that knowledgeable about art and that kind of stuff
pale garden - i haven't really kept up with minecraft updates, so i don't really know what exactly it is haha
combat system - i gotta say i disagree with you, i feel like the new system brought some complexity into the fights, for example you can try to make your opponent miss you and do a whiff-punish like in a fighting game, and i feel like that kinda stuff is pretty cool
mob vote - again don't know much about this one
elytras - i agree that it's not ideal that the elytra kind of trivializes other forms of transportation, but the sheer cool factor of it makes it hard to dislike it
villagers deserve rights - hard agree, seeing minecraft as something to accomodate characters other than yourself is such a fun thing imo, also makes it feel like you're just another part of the world, not its center
people playing too quickly - definitely, i know a dude with whom I've played on a few servers, while i was studying for school or doing anything else really man deadass got netherite armor, i was like what the hell i spent like half an irl hour making a basement while this fella was essentially beating the game
singleplayer being better - again yes, being able to do stuff on your own time and at your own pace is great, also no what the hell moments like in my previous point
the warden - again, haven't really kept up with newer things in mc, so no opinion really
people missing the point - 100%, i literally cannot realize how people can just put minecraft down never to return, as much as i don't play minecraft as much as i once did, i can't imagine not returning to either bulid something or make a new survival world and see where it goes

I don't like spread out builds anymore, building upon many many worlds over the years, I realized some areas are just forgotten over time. I want to work on 1 area and spread that out over time. If your main base is where you go back to, being spread out just takes up too much time in my opinion. I like exploring for certain things to bring back sure, but so many of my builds just get lost, and it's a shame. That's why recently I started to just improve 1 area over time. I also think Minecraft should focus on new ideas, for example the white wood of the pale garden feels useless if mods have had white wood for ages. They should focus on mechanics/animals etc, instead of easy things like a color change.

I think the biggest issue with the eytra is the fact it can be boosted with rockets. That ability turns it from a fairly balanced mode a transportation that can only glide, to the most versatile and fastest mode of transportation there is.
