Hi everyone, Scott here. I just want to say that while I’m pleased with the result of this match, I have to give Ben a ton of credit and respect for just playing after the the previous match with Topher. I absolutely 100% would love to play again under circumstances that didn’t so obviously favor me from the get-go. Ben is a tough out even in adverse conditions, and his demeanor and good humor here is just proof that he’s a real mensch. I’m a fan. Second, the outpouring of kind words and support in regards to my dog Jax’s passing has been amazing and beautiful. For a medium that seems to settle into negativity and trolling often, all of you have affirmed my belief in the goodness and empathy of people. I often say that tennis attracts good people, and you all are proof of this. Thank you so much.
Scott once again, you played amazing and like many others, you have my sincere condolences for your loss. Based on the way this match went, I think we may need to play 14,000,605 times for me to get a W, but I'm available if you have the time ;)
I have been enjoying this series of matches immensely and appreciate the willingness of yourself, Ben and the others for subjecting yourselves to scrutiny by playing in front of the UA-cam audience. The internet can be a dark place at times but can only be positive when I say how much I have appreciate it. I've learned more from watching and listening to you guys than I have in 30 years of watching professional tennis and having lessons! Sorry for the loss of your dog - tremendous effort being grief-stricken but still playing and producing such high quality.
Scott played tremendous under very trying circumstances. I admire his ability to play at such a high level in general, and particularly on the day we played.
Hey Ben, do you think you could've hit with a little more depth more often, or were Scotts balls just too good? Towards the end, there were some exchanges where you hit most balls pretty deep, and Scott wasn't able to completely finish the point, and even made some unforced errors. That might be an area for improvement.
@@scottbroady3159 Big Congratulations Scott. You’ve shown why it is worth to work on technique. Thank you for that. You have every shot in your repetoire and thats why Ben could only watch :). And by the way - Great execution,.
Three things I love about Ben and his outlook: 1) He never gives his opponent any emotional ammo; 2) He never stops trying to figure out a way to win; and 3) He seems to genuinely enjoy the competition, win or lose. In any singles match, half of the players will lose. If you can enjoy yourself regardless of the result, tennis will always be fun for you. Ben may lose, but he seems to almost never give it away. If you beat him, congrats to you. (Maybe that's a fourth point). Well done, sir!
Amen. The hope for Ben would be to get a rematch with Scott and see if he could get a few more games...this would be after learning some things to improve his game.....better serves, better net game and overheads

I don't think I have ever enjoyed a blowout match before as much as I did this. Watching and listening to Ben process the experience is more instructive than one would think. I love Ben's attitude. And, I was glad that Scott opened up about the difficulties he was dealing with that day with the passing of his dog. Hats off to both of you!
Love the sportsmanship and commentary of MEP; Ben put on an expose for how to struggle through a match and a more advanced opponent with dignity and elite mental/emotional fortitude.
Scott has done what great players often fail to do when they compete with players who may not be great ball strikers but are maestros on the court. Scott negotiated the balance of placing just enough pressure on Ben to stay in control of most every point coupled with great execution and very few errors with just the right amount of aggression. Ben was on his heels reacting to Scott who was dictating the whole time. He made it look easy but his experience, gameplay, and pin point accuracy made the difference today. Congrats to Scott on his great play and my condolences for his loss. Ben's attitude and humor were great. Not much you can do when Scott is in the slot.
You guys are nailing this "MEP experience". It's the best piece of entertainment I'm watching this month, for sure. And we just had Madrid and Rome to compete with 😂. Congrats Ian and team!
If Ben was really respectful, he would have waited until the next day to play Scott. That decision showed that he did not really take Scott too seriously.
I don't play like Ben. I don't even like to play players like Ben. But, I love to hear Ben talk. The man is so intelligent, even keeled, positive... and HILARIOUS!
Incredible game. I don't think I have ever seen MEP not being able to find a strategy during a game. Scott Broady, is now officially Super Beast. Thanks for the hard work ET team and putting this out on a Sunday.
Ben is a standup guy. His composure is exemplary even in the jaws of defeat. Scott's game play was textbook. Much appreciation for the clinic he put of there. Helps us all learn about our own games.
Scott :( So sorry about your dog. Your comments about digging deeper and playing through emotional pain are super relatable. I don't think I've ever played better than the day after my aunt died. I don't remember making any unforced errors at all.
At 30:05 I lost it. Love Ben man, class act and keeps it entertaining even when its a blowout. This match was not a mark on Ben but a huge showcase for Scott. Scoot looked absolutely excellent. He was very fun to watch.
Ian, I was one of the people a short while ago who said your posting schedule was not good and it seemed very drawn out and boring. I think since I was one of the first who criticized you, it is important that I also make it clear my opinion has changed. Ever since you took everyone’s feedback and made the uploads (in my opinion) a lot better (cutting highlights etc) I think the matches have been phenomenal, and you really delivered the hype that most people expected. Great job and keep up the great work. Im looking forward to your match with MEP 😁
There is a skill in learning how to lose gracefully and how to react afterwards. Ben, I love how you never second guessed the essence of your game even when you were down. I have a feeling that you didn't dwell on this match and you went into the match with Ian with the same belief in your game. That's a lesson for me as after I've had losses like that ( which have been humbling), I've changed strings, racquets and my game style when I should have just accepted it and moved on. Scott, you are the epitome of a great gentleman who just happens to be a relentless assassin on the tennis court.
I lost my dog a couple of years ago. I adored her and still miss her terribly every day. Like you I played tennis on the day we lost her because tennis is a great way to focus on what you're doing in the moment and there is some relief in that. In my opinion Dogs and Tennis are two of God's/Nature's best gifts to human beings. My heart goes out to you, Scott Great match. The memory of your dog will keep her/him alive within you forever.Tony Costa. North Wales.UK.
Thank you guys for playing. Ben is a really good sport, especially considering EVERYBODY gets to scout him for months and develop a game plan yet, he doesn't get to scout them. Really good footwork by Scott. And all those little steps require effort and energy. So does coming to yet and hitting overheads. Also, great backhand return of serve. Watch Scott cheat far forward when returning serve, seizing control of many points early. If Ben simply works to improve his serve (location, spin, pace, height), he has a much better chance to defeat this tactic and hold serve more often. More games, more fatigue for guys like Scott. Better chances for guys like Ben. I think all these matches are very educational for 4.0 to 5.0 players.
Amazing play by Scott: I love Scott's clean service motion - with such a clean motion, its hard to break down and is effortless to create a lot of pace. Also want to point out how effective the high margin heavy topspin angle forehands were. Lastly, Scott's volley game was on point, even to the point where Scott would hit a big forehand and sneak into net bc he knew a weak reply was coming. All in all - textbook match - I'm a fan!!!
Even if MEP hadn't already played a match that day I still feel that Scott would have prevailed because he comes in behind quality ground strokes and puts away weak, floating replies with aggressive play. Not easy to do under ideal circumstances and much less so when you have just lost your beloved dog. :( Big effort from both players and many thanks for putting yourselves out there on the interweb. Best wishes from Australia.
This match clearly shows that there are limits to how effective MEPs game can be. He needs to add some weapons, but he's a hell of a fighter and has superior mental toughness. He was just outgunned in all aspects in this one.
disagree, it is a much faster surface that mep isn't used to, so timing is off, playing less deep balls. If he would have been able to keep the ball deeper with that slice he could have worn out scott. Ben didn't get the ball deep enough, too many balls fell short which Scott actually loves to come into the net and pressure Ben.
@@LarzB no it wouldn't. Ben's slices are not super offensive. To a a good player like Scott, hell just keep pounding those slices and take opportunity to come in.
@@NoRoads2AllRoads you think too easily about it. The longer ben can draw out the match, the more effective he becomes or the less consistent his opponent becomes.
@@ql3670 i agree with that, but i have seen Ben performing ok passing shots while keeping the ball fairly low. Hey I'm not saying Scott would lose, but on a slower surface i would have given Ben a bigger chance.
Before this video series I thought I'd hate Ben (as a player). Now I find myself rooting for him as a tennis player and a human being. So humble, so genuine and level headed. Well done to everyone involved. Ben, you are the man !
Shoutout to Ben for his willingness to compete. Scott was a freight train today my goodness! He played this match like somebody was waiting for the court at the top of the hour 😂. Just relentless with his forward movement to net and pressure on groundstrokes. Pretty much a flawless performance in every department. Great match!
Scott was in the zone for sure, but what was impressive is that he was in the zone for the entire match. Looked very relaxed and came back to his game immediately after a loose point.
This actually went like I thought it would, just didn't think it would be this much of a blow out. Then again, Scott has the most consistent power off both wings + the net play of the challengers. The transition game was sensationally satisfying to watch. Great match, tactically. Props to Ben for going out there and fighting despite the Topher epic.
Gotta love Ben's mental toughness and attitude....that is definitely why he wins so many matches.....players end up beating themselves with a few mistakes and it takes them out of the match.....Ben just sticks solid and if you beat him outright he is so gracious! But it was great to see Scott stay tough and play through his own adversity! great match!
I agree with 2 of the comments. 1) Scott is playing lights out. Mark said it's the best he has seen him play. Rock solid patience on rally balls. Big pace when needed. And crazy volley angles. 2) the fast court is really benefiting Scott's bigger pace. And also I think Ben had a little fatigue-his hands looked slower. True props to Ben for his sportsmanship - he sometimes the other guy is better. Keep playing hard, give credit.
This format, the location, players, commentators......this is gold. You guys really have something special going here...The after match discussion was very interesting and informative. First and foremost, condolences to Scott on the loss of his dog and having to deal with that during this match. It was noble to still play the match under the circumstances. His play was near flawless. Very few unforced errors and an immaculate service game where he consistently pulled Ben wide.I would love to see a rematch to assess if Scott's level of play is always this good. He may have been inspired to this level because he was mourning??? If he's a teaching pro, I assume it's always this solid, but man, those serves were money the whole match. Lastly, and most importantly, I think Ben's 3.5 hour match drains the tank in even the most fit player and attempting to play a second high level match afterward is unrealistic in any expectation of being able to compete. A key takeaway was Ben's comment about coming on the court with the right attitude and not letting the lengthy previous match play a role in the mental and physical fight he had to take on against such a strong opponent. Kudos to that. A great lesson for everyone. That being said, there is no way he can put up an adequate fight against a highly skilled player like Scott. I would love to see a rematch with both of these guys fresh, mentally and physically. Looking forward to the final match. Ben is a hilarious guy and quite the gentleman.
Scott's game in this match was like when Ian played Topher, he could do no wrong. You are right that Ben must have been playing on empty, his game was clearly flat. It's better this way. Get it over and done quickly, so he can play the next day with renovated energies. Test: ua-cam.com/video/cen0d3AAIAg/v-deo.html
Hey ET, if You are going to make it as an monthly fee as Tennis TV - You got me for a whole year! Thanks for this! This is such a great experience for everybody. Congrats for Scott, really solid game! Nothing more to add as we all knew that scott is closer to 5.0 than 4.5 same as Mark, they are just very very good players if it comes to "tennis flow" You can be a 4.5 but witout this "flow", calmness and patience You will never be a good player. Thanks ET for everything :)
Okay, in appreciation of all these compelling videos, I signed up for play your court- nice 50% off promo still works. Hopefully the 90ish people in my area are active! Can't wait for the final showdown.
When Topher was aggressive, Ben was having trouble. Since Scott’s game is built on aggression, Ben was doomed. Scott played a perfectly measured aggressive game and with the fast indoor surface, that was it.
Man these videos are so good! It has really good production for a UA-cam video and can honestly match irl Tennis broadcasting. Shoutout to the commentating style too, which never interrupts the flow but chimes in with good observations.
Amazingly well-executed shots by Scott. I haven't seen that few errors since, well, since Ben's last match. I now count enforced errors during my games. If I don't make any, I say I played a MEP game.
Great match, Scott. Sorry for your loss, I'm sure that good old boy left happy because of the life he lived thanks to you. Awesome effort by Ben too. I can't believe he was able to play after that battle earlier with Topher.
Congratulations Scott! Great tactics and execution. Two differences from the previous matches were that Scott was very comfortable generating his own pace from the baseline and wasn't troubled by Ben's heavily sliced serves and groundstrokes.
Doesn't matter if you're Ben or Novak Djokovic, fatigue will get to you. That was a factor. And just like how Topher was able to overcome Ben's play, Scott's tactics of coming to the net worked well. And Scott played a near perfect game - strategy wise. Scott, I'm sorry for your loss of your dog - I've been there too and it hurts bad. Kudos to you for being able to play despite that emotional weight. I do believe that if both players were fresh, Scott would still prevail but maybe not a bagel and breadstick. Thanks again to Ben and Scott for playing and thanks to Ian and ET for putting this on.
First I just wanted to exclaim I’m just tiny 40 year old fan boy who aspires to reach Scott’s approach and abilities. Then I just felt gut wrenched for him. Sorry for his loss. (And I have no idea how to compartimentalize like that.) Then I felt bad for Ben who seemed so flustered and mangled. Then he bounced back so eerily and easily and clearheaded. This channel delivers amazing top notch content. What a thrill. I’m in awe of these people. I want to root for Scott, but maybe Sean is my actual spirit animal. His mental negativity was confrontational. Wonder if one can still mold oneself at that age to become able to let the mental static just be normal and let it pass.
Great match, Scott played great, you need the confidence and mindset to pull off a win like that. Ben did a great job . As much as I want to see this style go down I still feel bad as Ben has won me over with his demeanor and jokes. Look forward to the match with Ian. Loved the ET logo turning green at the end! As good as the Avengers Thanos Easter egg!
finally, someone with enough fire power to put away Ben. Scott is like high UTR 8. Vast majority of pushers can't get higher than UTR 7. Just shows that Ben/MEP has to be one of the best pushers, ever.
Great match by Scott and great sportmanship by Ben. After seeing all this footage it's hard to not become a fan of Ben, I advise everyone to find something he does or says to benefit your own game. I can assure it's there for 99% of the players. Sorry to hear about Jax. :-(
I know I'm late to the party but I just want to say that this series has been thoroughly enjoyable. Huge respect to Ben and the other players for their efforts and for Essential Tennis for organising it! Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before but I love what Scott's shirt says! It was totally appropriate for the match (and the series)! I'm sure he wore it intentionally :). If you don't know what it means, ask a Filipino friend ;)
Scott is going to hit through MEP. One of the most powerful players on the ET tour. I was a bit frustrated that Topher didn't trust his shots more where he should've killed the point earlier... But he came through with mental toughness saving match point and winning the 3rd
You played beautifully, Scott. So sorry to hear about your dog ☹️. Always one of the hardest losses when we lose a pet because they are family. All comfort to your family to cherish all the years you spent together. 💛
It absolutely choked me up to think that Scott's performance was a tribute to the life of his friend. Scott looked like he was wearing wings out there. Dude I'm so sorry for you and your wife. Another incredible gift of a video, and I adored Ben's sense of humor throughout. Fantastic tennis. Thank you, everyone.
Thank you. My heart was heavy that day, but it gave me a lot of focus when I played Ben. Jax was a great friend and companion, and Mark was gracious enough to watch him a couple of times when we were out of town. He’ll be missed.
Didn't hear anyone mention this, but Scott loves attacking serves whenever he can. That really punished Ben today. Props to both players, congratulations to Scott for the win.
Tony nadal said that in 2007 when Rafa lost to RF in wimbledon final that they decided to develop a tactic with higher and longer balls and top spin. This would make his game more difficult to attack. And In 2008 he took over Roger in 5 sets using that tactic. Well, this what Ben could do to get closer to Scott. Really appreciate Ben s sense of humour in any situation, refreshing way to look at winning and loosing situations. Congrats to Scott , clean and effective with the perfect game to get over a pusher.
Scott is really really good. There's so much to learn from a match like this, this is a very typical result in leagues/tournaments where there is one player who is CLEARLY a level above(Scott).
I realised really early on in the match that it was not even close to an even matchup. Ben is very good but Scott was playing the kind of points you see on the tennis channel. Huge respect to Ben for taking on the challenge of a very high level opponent in foreign conditions.
I think this was going to happen regardless of the long match with Topher. MEP is a 4.5 player but the speed of the court allowed 4.0 players like Topher and Sean compete with him on an even playing field. A 4.5 attacker like Scott on a fast court is just too much. We'll see Ben's true power when they try to play him on a nice slow, outdoor court in the Atlanta heat.
Huge respect to both players. Scott played such a dominating game, and it really is an accomplishment to do that a few hours after putting one's dog down, regardless of one's skill level. He didn't give Ben anything to work with. But kodos to Ben as well, simply for taking on another match hours after a draining match against Topher. He had some solid shots, and it was great to see him keep positive attitude to the end.
Its not only a fast court. Wilson Trinity long lasting balls is also super fast when newly open. It would be fun to ser the outcome with normal circumstances. Regular hardcourt and with tour balls like Dunlop ATP. These settings with court and balls feels like the outcome is useless, Ian.
@@allemyr there’s no such thing as “normal circumstances”, there’s different circumstances and Scott played just great. His average ball is simply 10 mph faster than Topher and Sean’s. Ben just met his match, nothing wrong with that.
Whoaaaa what super teaser to Ben Vs Ian at the end... super intense! "I can hear him down there huffin' & puffin'..."not quite sure he wants to hang out there with me..."!! BOOM!
Unbelievably exciting match! I've been looking forward to this since it was announced, and it did not disappoint! I am an older player, 73, and only in my dreams can I move like Scott! But I'm dying to know, so I'll ask the question any older player is wonderiing: how old is Scott? He is just remarkable! Ben is no slouch, either, just outgunned in this match.
Thanks for the kind words-I appreciate them! I am 52, and (knock wood) I can stay healthy for a bit longer to keep up with all the young blood around me 😬
Check tennis troll channel for MEP match against female college recruit. A solid junior player with skills and fitness as she struggles with the off speed pace and mental toughness of Ben. (And has her coach helping her out. )
Condolences about your dog Scott and kudos to you for still playing despite that. You are one of those rare players who likes to come forward and looks made for net play, something I like to do as well though I also like to chip and charge off the return. Coupled with your great serve and powerful strokes it was the perfect formula! Love Ben’s post match comments and his refusal to use his previous match as an excuse.
Congrats Scott!!! As Ian said, it's easier to make your opponent play bad than make yourself play/look good, but this time, Ian did make Ben play bad and at the same time play good or rather perfect game. Scott's fundamental and all around game and driving the ball, good mechanics on volley and overhead compliment the fast surface.
Scott is a Tennis Player ... has a game most of us dream about. For Ben to play on a fast court like this, his third match in two days, against someone that overpowering is commendable. I'm not sure anyone in the ET or TT universe would have been able to take out Scott that day based on the emotional motivation he had. Ben kept his composure and sense of humor from start to finish, pretty amazing attitude and a great learning experience for him. Scott, lost my dog about a decade ago, he was my best friend (and my Golden is now 10 years old, don't even want to think about that), I cried off and on for about a week straight (if my wife says it was more like a year, just ignore her, there was a lot of dust in the air that year). The bond between man and canines goes back tens of thousands of years, I love dogs, people ... not so much LOL. 🙂

A big weapon that rarely allowed Ben into the point to begin with. 2) Scott was comfortable at the net, whereas the others were not. This meant Ben didn't seem to know what to do. 3) Scott was certainly far more calm and less nervous than the previous opponents. 4) The little nerves displayed allowed him to calmly move Ben to the corners, keeping rallies fairly short, making far less errors compared to winners, in comparison to the previous opponents also. Interesting match up. If another set was played, i reckon Ben coulda pushed a 6-4. Scott was just starting to make a few more errors in the 2nd set, with a little luck and a temporary loss of concentration, coulda been a closer set. I love Ben's sense of humour. Onto the finale!
Great breakdown of the match-thanks for sharing these stats. They are very educational for me, and the highlight a couple of things in my game to work on. First serve percentage is HUGE, and this info really sends it home. In regards to UEs, I was initially dismayed at the FH to BH ratio, but then it occurred to me that I probably hit 3 times as many forehands, so it sat right in the pocket. Thanks again!

Ben is a standup guy. His composure is exemplary even in the jaws of defeat. Scott's game play was textbook. Much appreciation for the clinic he put of there. Helps us all learn about our own games.
Sorry to hear about your dog Scott, I'm sure he was looking on and feeling quite proud.
❤
He deaaaahd
Ben's amazing stamina and mental toughness is beyond me, I'm 45 a year older than MEP, but he is playing like he's 20 years old. 😱
MEP is in his thirties, if I'm not mistaken. That aside, there's a guy in my club in his fifties, he could play 8 singles sets in a day
@@ifeanyiikpegbu6465 MEP is 43
He's ageless!
Scott :( So sorry about your dog. Your comments about digging deeper and playing through emotional pain are super relatable. I don't think I've ever played better than the day after my aunt died. I don't remember making any unforced errors at all.
❤
At 30:05 I lost it. Love Ben man, class act and keeps it entertaining even when its a blowout. This match was not a mark on Ben but a huge showcase for Scott. Scoot looked absolutely excellent. He was very fun to watch.
Scott's tennis is a thing of beauty!
Dogs are a powerful motivator. Scott went full John Wick mode on Ben.
😳
lol
Well, I certainly did not blame Ben for Jax’s passing.😬
Big ups to the editors for the video title that doesn't spoil the ending!
💪
Haha, "Part 1" ... loved it!
Can't believe how much I like watching this matches and learn for my real life situations on court. Real innovation on this channel. Congrats
Another great match. Ben’s attitude is so inspiring. Scott’s play after losing his 14 year old dog was a tough thing to do. Sorry for your loss.
My heart goes out to you, Scott
Great match.
Thanks for watching, Anthony!
Hi Scott, Gandalf strikes!! Love the game man, massive fan all the way from Ireland 🇮🇪
Ben, ur a class act, a real competitor
Thanks, Michael! Always good to see your name in the comments.
@@LarzB The problem is it's much more difficult to draw out the match against net players. Against pure baseliners, it's easier to do so.
@@ql3670 i agree with that, but i have seen Ben performing ok passing shots while keeping the ball fairly low. Hey I'm not saying Scott would lose, but on a slower surface i would have given Ben a bigger chance.
I’ve watched this video 4 times now. Scott’s play is aspirational and inspirational.
Relentless is a good word!
Scott was in the zone for sure, but what was impressive is that he was in the zone for the entire match. Looked very relaxed and came back to his game immediately after a loose point.
Totally agree, he was totally unwavering. That's tough to do for two sets.
OMG the teaser for the big match! Ben is SUCH a ham! lololo
Scott was on fire and Ben is an incredible guy, love these matches, great work as always Ian and crew, thanks
Scott is a different beast! also Ben's positivity and mental toughness is on a different level too 🙌🏼
Totally agree, John!
Ben with the ominous last words 😂. The man is a walking quote-generator
😳
Kudos to Scott. Great game plan and execution. Sorry for your loss....always hate to hear when someone's best friend has passed.
Ben is SO funny....a bigger and bigger fan with every match and every time he talks to the camera I am cracking up
Coach Pete against Scott ... two big hitters who can serve bombs ... I would pay to see that!
Scott's got the firepower to hit through MEP, so I'm really interested to see how these two match up!
🔥🔥
From on Ben to another you are a great dude with an even better attitude
Thanks so much for supporting our sponsor, Nam!
When Topher was aggressive, Ben was having trouble. Since Scott’s game is built on aggression, Ben was doomed. Scott played a perfectly measured aggressive game and with the fast indoor surface, that was it.
Could be good for Ben in the long run that it wasn't close. Saved some energy for the match against Ian.
Yay! More energy for Ian! 😳
Scott is a bona fide and higher level 4.5 player than the previous challengers. That's the difference
Man these videos are so good! It has really good production for a UA-cam video and can honestly match irl Tennis broadcasting. Shoutout to the commentating style too, which never interrupts the flow but chimes in with good observations.
Mad props to Ben for his spirit and sense of humor. I wish I was this graceful during my losses!
I am so sorry to hear about you dog. Great playing today. Ben, amazing how much tennis you are playing back to back.
🙏❤
So much class on this court. Love the commentary, and the solid sportsmanship. A real inspiration!
My condolences for your loss, Scott. Nice playing out there both of you.
That was an impressive performance by Scott, no knock on Ben, sometimes there are no answers when a guy plays that well.
Totally agree, Craig!
Yeah, Scott looks like a nightmare for most opponents. It takes someone hitting with tons of spin and accuracy, like Mark to give him difficulties.
This is for Scott. Thank you. I have been where you are with my amazing hound. It is unbelievable grief that you feel. My heart is with you.
❤
Thank you, Victoria. I'm grateful for my time with him, and it is comforting to know I am not alone.
Ben is a great guy!
Ben is very, very good at what he does!
Scott cyborg! I love it. Way to take that loss well and end with some comedic value Ben. You have very sound character which is rare these days.
We'll find out soon!
Different story on clay!
@@firewizzard86 unless you Medvedev
You played beautifully, Scott. So sorry to hear about your dog ☹️. Always one of the hardest losses when we lose a pet because they are family. All comfort to your family to cherish all the years you spent together. 💛
Thank you so much, Naomi. Kind you are.
Great episode. More of this please!
Thanks for watching, Benjamin!
gotta mix those serves up...flat, slice kick....and move them around: wide, down the T, right at the returner
Great match guys. Ben is really funny in his comments between games at confessional. Scott sorry for your loss, you played great.
Great preview of the main event too ;)
Tony nadal said that in 2007 when Rafa lost to RF in wimbledon final that they decided to develop a tactic with higher and longer balls and top spin.
Scott taught my brother and myself in high school, great guy
Hey Reagan-great to see this from you! Thank you for the nice words, and I hope you and Rob are well!
Always nice to watch these matches. Kudos to Ben, albeit Scott has a very impressive, no weakness game!
Playing a guy like Scott on a fast indoor court is a nightmare for mere mortals. No worries Ben, he played lights out.
Totally agree!
Scott’s footwork was super impressive
Its not only a fast court. Wilson Trinity long lasting balls is also super fast when newly open. It would be fun to ser the outcome with normal circumstances. Regular hardcourt and with tour balls like Dunlop ATP. These settings with court and balls feels like the outcome is useless, Ian.
@@allemyr there’s no such thing as “normal circumstances”, there’s different circumstances and Scott played just great. His average ball is simply 10 mph faster than Topher and Sean’s. Ben just met his match, nothing wrong with that.
@@Demand68 Indeed. Where I live clay is the norm.
Whoaaaa what super teaser to Ben Vs Ian at the end... super intense! "I can hear him down there huffin' & puffin'..."not quite sure he wants to hang out there with me..."!! BOOM!
Great job Scott, just like I talked about in the first announcement of the 4 matches. With all things going on outside the court.
I am 52, and (knock wood) I can stay healthy for a bit longer to keep up with all the young blood around me 😬
Amazing stuff Ian. My 11 year old son is immersed as well. Would love to see a top Jr. vs ET series at some points.
Thanks, Mark! I play a lot of doubles, so it is a necessity.
Scott that backhand serve return/approach is, as Matt would say, Nasty!
I have a whole new level of respect for Scott after this !!
Great job for both players
I'm now obsessed with mep matches
Scott is what we all think we can do when playing a defensive player (but, well.. I sure can't) -- kudos to Scott!
That trailer, better than anything Netflix has to over. Omggg can't wait. 😭😭😭
😳
Appreciate your comments, George!

I think there were 4 key differences in this match compared to the others. 1) Scott's serve.
@@scottbroady3159 I've been blessed with a comment from the angry, old man!
No problem, i find it all really interesting myself and sometimes you find out something from the match you didn''t realise before. Solid match on your part, other than a few over heads nearer the end. Looking forward to your future matches and hopefully some more trash talk 👀
Ben is so likeable and nice. What a trooper as well, winning or losing he is in such great spirits and the stamina, just wow. Enjoy watching him more than the pro's! If only i had someone like that in my area to play, win or lose you can't get mad at this guy and you're guaranteed a workout. Absolute champ!
Kudos to the whole team for the whole series. The only thing i want to see more than Topher vs Ben 2 is Federer get one more Grand Slam.
Im so sorry for your loss @Scott Broady!! Spending some prayers your way!!
Thanks, man. Much appreciated.
Wow, sorry to hear Scott. Work is therapy in hard times
Ben is so relatable, I always love seeing the different styles of players
Well done! There was obviously nothing left in ben’s tank after the 3 hour game. Hope he can recover overnight. Very clean game by Scott. Actually thought he would struggle with overhitting balls.
Nice bait with the part one btw, appreciated it.
Sorry to hear about your buddy Scott. Thanks for playing and having us along.
