I'm African and middle Eastern we like to see tourists wearing our traditional clothes because it's a sign of respect to our culture, but people from the West consider wearing a traditional dress of other cultures a culture appropriation, even if the person is wearing it out of respect and appreciation. I don't really understand why.🤷🏽♀️
Because there's lore behind it. Black people couldn't wear certain hairstyles in the work place such as braids or locs. Now white people see it as trendy. Same with rap. Erasure from other genres of music, we made hip hop and r&b for ourselves. Now it's trendy for white people. It's annoying
