One of the best Hoonigan videos of all time. I appreciate the way Betim walked us through the whole car and used language that was easy to grasp. Cant wait to see what this car can do with a year of development!!!!!
This has been one of the best videos I have seen for the entire team. I love the rubber and smoke shows…. But this was the heart and soul of the team. This is a motivational video teaching what a team effort is, from nothing but an idea to rubber touching asphalt. Everyone having a job, and doing their job to the best. 100% sucks the result this year, but this is a hope video showing the normal person that it isn’t always a cinderella story. Thank you show us the fans you are all human !!!!
This is probably my favorite video that has ever been posted on this channel. An unfortunate and sad ending, but the technical aspect was truly fantastic.
This is coming from a current engineering student, you guys are inspiring the next generation of enthusiasts to make this hobby their career. This is absolutely incredible work and makes me wish I get to work on a project like this someday, looking forward to seeing this car rip pikes peak
Heard the terms "unsprung mass" and "camber gain" spoken with the fluency of someone who's probably read Race Car Vehicle Dynamics more then once. I'm in love. Just hearing that smooth voice talk about 4 way compression and rebound adjustment
I could listen to Betim talk like that for hours! Getting deep into the details is always great, but it's the passion behind it that lifts this to the next level. Can't wait to hear about all the work being done on the Pig right now.
There’s such passion from Betim when he discusses the tech behind the pig, especially the aero. You can tell he’s dedicated his life to this craft, and I’m awestruck. Better luck for 2023.

The amount of creativity and ergonomics that has been implemented into this feat of genius is astounding. I know my words may not hold precedence however I am blown away by this magnificent piece of functional art and agility. I hope to see this take a win. Good luck Ken and team prayers.

I think it'd make ken proud to see it set the next record up the mountain and personally I believe it should be driven by a friend of Kens. Travis P I think we all know he has the skill to do it and I think it would be what ken would want but we will just have to wait and see. may the legend rest in peace and may God be with his family he may be gone but his legacy will never be forgotten.
Honestly I loved watching this video, very technical and we got to understand the development of the Hoonipig, good luck to every working hard and spending time on the project and I believe next you guys will definitely be more prepared for Pikes Peak, and Good Luck
Amazing build. You neglected to mention that the suspension travel dictated the placement of the driveshaft to the front wheels. Can't imagine you'd see that on a buggy like the Sierra. Also no mention of what broke. Something printed?
We need a whole series from BBI on the work that went into building the car and documenting the different milestones for the build because this thing is out of this world insane!
Totally agree. I would watch a multi-episode documentary just about the build. From concept to design to engineering to build to testing. This is a serious machine with some cutting edge race tech.
My goodness this is an engineers/gear head's wet dream. What do we think this thing cost? 600k? A mill? 2mill? What an incredible machine! The workmanship, creativity, and sheer luck that went into making this work on time is mind-boggling. And then to have it break right at the end is heartbreaking. I can't wait to see what happens in '23
I'm 5 years older than Ken block but we basically have the same influences when it comes to racing and cars. This project is amazing and I'm really happy that you were able to film the process in such detail.
Ken Block will forever be remembered as one of the best drivers. thank you for everything i will miss watching you on the tube... cant help but feel a bit of irony when i saw this 2:21. Ken passed before he could drive this beast at pikes peak...
The engine damage was such a heart breaker! I can't wait to see next years run, though. 12 more months of development will make this even more of a monster!
The speed at which he down loaded information that anyone with a slightest bit of interest in performance machines was the bit that impressed me the most. Full credit to the team that put this together, thanks for sharing.
Every time I see Ken Block's cars on UA-cam, I always think it's just a group of guys building these cool cars in some garage. Then, I watch these docus and you see the amount of work and money that are actually put into these.
Honestly, I'm glad they didn't get to run. The conditions wouldn't have allowed for a good run, and I really don't think Ken was comfortable with the car yet. It needs a lot more testing than they were able to do.
@@TheGoodChap That guy is out of his mind. He was driving it by memory. No possible way he could go that fist driving by what he could see. I'm just glad the guy that yard sale'd the Honda near the finish didn't go off the other side of the road where he was.

From the build, to the behind the scenes, seeing the shortage of material, the complex engineering just sitting in amazement
Thank you buddy
It still doesn’t feel real. Rest in peace Ken Block, legends never die. We know you’re slaying tires in the sky 🤍🤍🤍
I didn't realize he never got to run it. "We have a year to think about it." Gut wrenching really.
When I saw this car once again shortly after I learned of his passing, only then I thought "Oh no, the Hoonipigasus! I can't believe I don't remember about this car! What's going to happen to it now? Who's going to drive it if it's going to be driven?".
We can only wait for an official statement about the future plans for this car.
Absolute mind-blowing technology behind this build! The Best of the Best! And yes with electronic type cars coming into their era, it's race to finish off on top of the gas engine builds! Awesome content thank you very much! Keep On Rocking!
I could listen to this guy talk about cars all day.
Sweden in the house 😃🇸🇪 I always get so fascinated when our small country is involved and contributes to big projects around the world 🤴🏼
Well I see I’m not the only one going back and watching any hoonigan video with or about ken block! Rest in peace legend
i am devestated about Ken's passing. so sorry to hear this.
Thank you show us the fans you are all human !!!!
i mean in true hoonigan fashion, this is the best build breakdown everrrr!!!!
This is probably my favorite video that has ever been posted on this channel. An unfortunate and sad ending, but the technical aspect was truly fantastic.
I was surprised to see Idemitsu as one of your sponsors. that's pretty cool.
This is, without a doubt, a brilliant technical rundown of an insane, purpose built... pig! Loved every second of it!
2:21 Jackets speaking facts... that frame really hurt me.
Rest in peace, Ken. 1967 - 2023
Man.....What a build, what a team, and what a tragic loss. Absolute legend RIP.
A sad way to start a new year, I propose that all of motor sports retire the #43 to honor this man for everything he has done to inspire new fans to all motor sports. He will always be remembered and missed. RIP.. #KB43VR
I’m so glad I got to enjoy this awesome documentary style video within the first hours of release. Such a cool project, can’t wait till next year!
Did anyone else heart drop when they saw Ken's hoodie had "Just don't die" on the back.😢
This is the true embodiment of every car guy's dream. To take a car you love, with real racing history, and turn it up to 11 with a dream race car from the ground up. Hats off to everyone involved.
I've never seen anyone as excited to explain the way aero works on a car as this guy. Down on his knees to explain the details. Love that enthusiasm.
Having managed multi-million dollar projects for most of my life, the time line to build this from scratch blows my mind! Incredible!
Thank you 🙏🏼
I would not have believed that any one person in the world knew that much about building a race car.
So glad you explained the car and what happened- we were all super excited, and then started hearing the rumors. Can’t wait to see more dev on the car and hopefully another run at the peak!
I've seen thousands of car videos...and where betim explains and lives the air flow in The Aero...it's unique. This guy needs to make cars for the next 60 years. Thanks for that beautiful car-junkie portion. You made my week :)
RIP. In a pansy world, we need more ken Blocks, not less. truly missed.
This is why UA-cam is such good platform. Real technical information from the designers and builders! You can feel the passion that went into building it.
Thank you to Ken's family for sharing him with the world, we all share your loss.. Prayers to his family and friends.. Stay strong Block's, our hearts are with you..
I needed 4 Hours to watch this video, because i stopped it so many times to watch all the details of this dream car. Thank you very much for this video.
The amount of creativity and ergonomics that has been implemented into this feat of genius is astounding. I know my words may not hold precedence however I am blown away by this magnificent piece of functional art and agility. I hope to see this take a win. Good luck Ken and team prayers.
Wow, I’m stunned, those gymkhana videos literally made me a car enthusiast again. This one hurt, I hope Jesus let you drift into heavens gate . Fair well friend.
I think it'd make ken proud to see it set the next record up the mountain and personally I believe it should be driven by a friend of Kens. Travis P I think we all know he has the skill to do it and I think it would be what ken would want but we will just have to wait and see. may the legend rest in peace and may God be with his family he may be gone but his legacy will never be forgotten.
such a cool car, I'm not that big a fan of the 911 but the way this is made looks soo cool, like a mini toy
Honestly I loved watching this video, very technical and we got to understand the development of the Hoonipig, good luck to every working hard and spending time on the project and I believe next you guys will definitely be more prepared for Pikes Peak, and Good Luck
This is so special. The story is beautiful. It’s a real example of what every car guy feels, but doesn’t know how to articulate.
crazy to think we won’t be able to see him drive this car again
Amazing build. You neglected to mention that the suspension travel dictated the placement of the driveshaft to the front wheels. Can't imagine you'd see that on a buggy like the Sierra. Also no mention of what broke. Something printed?
Best Hoonigan content in a long time
Could listen to Betim talk for hours on end. His enthusiasm when explaining the car is fantastic.
Love the use of Inconel headers. I am curious about the 3D print of such a fantastically heat-resistant material 🤔
There are no words to describe how awesome this is.
I love the engineering and science behind cars. I think they're the most technological advancements we have. They incorporate every aspect of science!
what a beautiful car, this and the hoonicorn, as i said before i have hoonicorn as my phone wallpaper. great content hoonigan
I’m drooling so much through this whole video that I need a damn bib now...
Worth it! F’n-A, thanks guys!
Amazing how much actual science goes into these builds, bro. 🤦🏾♂️😳
Betim said words I didn't even know existed... impressive beyond words
The car he never got to race for real...
R.I.P to a Legend.
Condolences to his family and friends.
🚗🚗
🙏💌Fly high Ken! Did you notice on back on his jumper at beginning written in text, "Just Dont Die"
Every time I see Ken Block's cars on UA-cam, I always think it's just a group of guys building these cool cars in some garage. Then, I watch these docus and you see the amount of work and money that are actually put into these.
Such a huge shame it ended with a broken valve and engine. Suffering with you guys
No way 😢
Honestly, I'm glad they didn't get to run. The conditions wouldn't have allowed for a good run, and I really don't think Ken was comfortable with the car yet. It needs a lot more testing than they were able to do.
@@MX304 it was probably for the best! Next year🤘
@@MX304 yeah the winning run with all that fog was crazy
@@TheGoodChap That guy is out of his mind. He was driving it by memory. No possible way he could go that fist driving by what he could see. I'm just glad the guy that yard sale'd the Honda near the finish didn't go off the other side of the road where he was.
being a 911 fan this is the greatest evolution of a 911 racecar , stunning work, its like the martini classic 911 brought fully into 2022/2023
Barge Boards, Difusers, Porpoising? Wow, this car has a lot more aero work than I could ever imagine. This is amazing!!!
This is the content I like!
Definitely called dibs on this car
in this context Definitely refers to staNleestanley888*
Man... what an ending to the video. Next year though... next year
One of the most amazing technical videos I’ve seen!
Please let his daughter race this car up pikes peak!!! It's only right
It became a reality!!
Well she did it. And boy was it a rollercoaster of emotions
That was super emotional to watch. Seriously that’s was hard to watch.
That dude that was talking about the aerodynamics definitely just finished watching Formula 1, that car never had a porpoiseing problem but he learnt from Formula 1 and added it to the car. Top G
Make sure to block Rob Dahm from watching this video! The man will count the pixels to measure the suspension geometry! 🤣
Lmao he will engineer a way to replicate too
I'm sure he's already made phone calls to their suppliers pretending to be a team member 😂
This is EXACTLY what Lockheed Martin and the Air Force does with fighter jets. Build it as well as you can, train the best guy you can find to drive it, and then you send it to WAR. This project is in keeping with the highest values of the American Dream. Bravo to everyone involved. It stirred my soul. Thank you.
Holy shit I can't believe that rotten rust bucket of a shell, became part of the hoonipig, thats some incredible work. To think they completed such a project on such a short time schedule is mindblowing. This car legit has F1 tech in it too which is so cool. With it's aero design, even without being told, I can tell it resembles an F1 car from underneath, absolutely insane. This is easily the most badass and ridiculously impressive car/ project Hoonigan has ever done.
