Reviewing Tabac Rose from BDK Parfums. www.aaronterencehughes.co.uk Instagram - AaronTerenceHughes Music: Sleepdebt - I C U #FragranceReview #BDKParfums
BDK, to me, is the best value niche house in the market. Big fan of Gris Charnel (especially the Extrait version) and do also like Rouge Smoking. A lot of their stuff does have a slight feminine lean to it, so I'm not looking to add too many more bottles. Hoping David (Benedek, the brand owner) releases a more standard gourmand fragrance some time soon since I think that's what BDK is lacking currently in their lineup.
LOOOVe this fragrance. Thanks so much for the review. I've had this one in my collection for a year or so and I thought you'd like it if you ever reviewed it. This fragrance is a lift for me and the nostalgia effect for me is off the charts for some reason. Dead on, on the subtly of the tobacco notes, which I'm glad of. My wife doesn't like prominent tobacco fragrances and she likes this one. Thanks again another wonderful review.
Happy 2023 Aaron. I had to get my sample so I can get testing so I can engage with the highest self at the same time with you. Funny thing is I am not a Patchouli fan but I dont get Patchouli on Tabac Rose. It’s beautiful for me I get Tobbacco (clean bar area) pink pepper, rose ad sophisticated and clean cosy for me.
Hi Aaron! I love how technical your reviews are, It would be very interesting to hear your thoughts on Overture Man from Amouage and also more of the work from Francesca Bianchi
I've noticed while watching your reviews that we share similar tastes but different skin types. It's quite the boon for me, as fragrances you rate highly but critique the projection and radiance on have the opposite reaction yet equal amount of enjoyment and admiration. This arrives today, I can't wait.
Hi Aaron, I really love your videos! Could you do a video about perfume layering? How to do it correctly, the idea behind it, which perfumes you are layering or would be suitable to layer, etc.? Would be amazing! Keep up the great work. :-)
Thanks to your Review Aaron, now I’m just seeing fragrance construction as watch construction. One miscalculation at the base, and the building will collapse. As you want to maintain your watch, you will do the same for your fragrance. This channel is a blessing. And I think if you make a fragrance called channel #1 this will be a great creation for this lovely community behind you. And by the way, Happy new year 2023 🍀🥂🎆🎊everybody here. Wish you all the best.
I test sprayed this yesterday and bought a bottle by the end of the day, I found it so addicting throughout the day, not what I’d normally gravitate towards but just love it, I get Turkish delight vibes!
This was the first niche fragrance I ever gotten my nose on. It was so unique and unlike anything ive ever smelled at the time. Love it still to this day. The plum comes off much more like passion fruit to my nose which I adore as I used to eat them when I was a child. Looking forward to the new plum fragrance release!
Thanks Aaron! Great vid as always. Could you do a video where you recommend how to approach your house? Where to start, how to know what fragrances suit which occasions etc. As someone new to niche it’s a bit daunting where to start with a new house, so I just smell and test what’s available in stores near me.
Tnks Aaron to review this brand, also Rouge Smoking and Gris Charnel is quite good 🔥😆👌 And Matiere Premiere is a very nice house, I buy it last week Encens Suave and is amazing 😍
I'm with you on the tobacco accord Aaron, I hardly get any. To me it's a prominent rose fragrance. I wish I got more of the chocolate, I'll have to try and pick it up next time I wear it. But hell yes give me more chocolate all the time! 👋
Aaron - if looking for something different to review, please consider Strangelove NYC and their oud-based fragrances. There are only five and they come as EDP and oils. Wildly animalic!! Melt My Heart, dangerous chocolate. Silence the Sea, Dead of Night … really treading that fine line!
Can you plz do a review on Y le perfume? : )..And one question..what is your opinion between Eae de pefume and le perfume? And one last..would you put them in comparison with Dior sauvage elixir or is it total irrelevant?
I don't know if I want to smell like chocolate all the time, also I think i might be anosmic to the note. That being said, I bought Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 71 and while i don't wear it as a perfume usually, I spray it lots on my plaid and wrap myself up in it. So cosy. Even transfers to my clothes sometimes. Starts of quite synthetic, but after a while it smells exactly like those mini vanilla waffles with chocolate on one side. Makes me hungry. lol
This is one of my few Faves that isn't yours Aaron. My Bottle definitely has that Tobacco accord to it, so hopefully they've not toned it down via a reformulation recently... but occasionally I'll layer a hint of YOUR Tabac on top of it to make it pop.
I’ve looked through your discography some and I haven’t noticed a bond no 9, is it because it’s American based or is it a house you haven’t gotten around to?
Hey Aaron what is your favorite oud cologne? I heard pdm haltane was the shit and oud for greatness. I just want your opinion and I love your video on the armani code parfum man that is some good shit man
Can you review Santal 33 by Le Labo? The candle smells better (Santal 23) My favorite is Cedrat 37, but it can be quite difficult to get your hands on unless you live near Berlin, Germany
This is one of my perfumes and I quite like it. However, I don't get chocolate on my skin and I'm fine with that. I agree with you on the lack of projection. Great review as usual:)
I want to buy oud 2020 but live in germany and don‘t know anyone who sells it. And lucky for me, your shop is also closed 💀💀. Aaron, help me Oud my friend i need to smell great :(
PLUM: I couldn't ever stand Tom Ford frags. Didn't understand the appeal, at all. UNTIL I tried Plum Japanois (sp)...and was immediately "WOW, THIS is amazing." I don't know how much "plum" was actually in it, but it instantly became among my favorite-ever perfumes. They discontinued it six months later. A work of art, BUT, found a dupe company that did it *even better* and for *far* less. Cheers.
Their atomizers are the best! Been wanting to try Tabac Rose. Have Velvet Tonka, Gris Charnel, Pas Ce Soir, and Crème de Cuir. I thoroughly enjoy all of them
First the bottle is ugly AF. Second wear this everyday for a week and see if you still like it. In my opinion it’s sickly. I don’t know why pink pepper is so expensive, the trees grow feral in Australia. It’s feral in many countries. It’s in the cashew family, not related to Pipers at all.
Hey Aaron, Please could you do a review on Diaghilev by Rosa Dove. I think it's a true masterpiece. Would love to get your thoughts on it! @AaronTerenceHughes
"Ethyl Malton whipping you through the face", I really felt that, hahaha.😄

I always enjoy watching your reviews as they are rich in content and respectful to perfumers hard work. Thank you!
Love how you deliver your reviews Aaron. Very calm and soothing.

Great review, more life to you!
Great video aaron! Would you ever do a video telling us about your favorite aroma chemicals and naturals? Cheers!
Hi Aaron! I love how technical your reviews are, It would be very interesting to hear your thoughts on Overture Man from Amouage and also more of the work from Francesca Bianchi
Hell yes! I’ll be grabbing that Plum Fragrance right away. Love Plum.
Interesting. Will def check this one out. Was looking for entry to chocolate note and I really like a good rose!

Please review more from BDK. Gris Charnel is absolutely gorgeous!
Hi Aaron,

Would be amazing! Keep up the great work. :-)
Great review! I need to try this. Sounds gorgeous. 🫶
Hey Aaron! More great work as always thank you. Could you please do a review of Amabile by Xerjoff that would make my year!!
Hey Aaron, I hope you and the people at unicorn headquarters had a good start to the year, can't wait for your online shop to reopen!

My favourite from that house. Especially great in autumn
Boom aaron !!
I've been rocking this jam a lot this fall and winter.

Great review. I was thinking about getting this one. In your opinion does in lean feminine.

And Matiere Premiere is a very nice house, I buy it last week Encens Suave and is amazing 😍
Yes, I've been waiting on this review as well as Gris Charnel. I'd like to hear his review of Smoking Rouge as well. 👍
I'm with you on the tobacco accord Aaron, I hardly get any. To me it's a prominent rose fragrance. I wish I got more of the chocolate, I'll have to try and pick it up next time I wear it. But hell yes give me more chocolate all the time! 👋
Aaron please review Gris Charnel! That would be such a treat ✨

I agree. It's a beautiful fragrance

I remember having a try of Melt my heart. Think Aaron would enjoy.

I like this fragrance. I always get compliments.
Can you plz do a review on Y le perfume? : )..And one question..what is your opinion between Eae de pefume and le perfume? And one last..would you put them in comparison with Dior sauvage elixir or is it total irrelevant?
I liked it but didn't want a full bottle.
Pleasseeeee do Mancera Tonka Cola next....
I'm curious to see your opinion about Montale Infinity because it has cherries and plums 🔥
What's up with evolved Aaron? Cannot wait
I think, for now this is the best BDK. The second one i think is Gris Charnel Extrait.
Please review Amouage Royal Tobacco.
Great fragrance. I can't find your page for all fragrances Aaron,it's disappeared, wonder if anyone can help ?
Please review Gris Charnel extrait. It's amazing.
Talented person
Cafe Rose by Tom Ford, please review this one!
I don't know if I want to smell like chocolate all the time, also I think i might be anosmic to the note. If you love Plum frags then you must review Scents of Wood Plum in Cognac.
🔥🔥
Do a review on Creed viking cologne ^^
Can you also review ajmal amber wood

I hope the new ATH fragrances come to MaxAroma!!
Try Gris Charnel and the extrait
Hey Aaron what is your favorite oud cologne? I heard pdm haltane was the shit and oud for greatness. I just want your opinion and I love your video on the armani code parfum man that is some good shit man
Based on his videos, it was roja amber aoud
@@Dasani31 thanks
Please do amouage jubilation XXV
Can you review Santal 33 by Le Labo? The candle smells better (Santal 23)
My favorite is Cedrat 37, but it can be quite difficult to get your hands on unless you live near Berlin, Germany
Buy it in September.
Hey Aaron. I notice you pronounce “eau” as “e” like in the word “french” .
But in french “eau” is pronounced like “oo” as in the word “Ford”
If you live plum review initio paragon…. And ifffff you can get your hands on it it’s super rare Andy Warhol bond no 9
Safe, legal, compliant. Are there any that are not?
This is one of my perfumes and I quite like it. However, I don't get chocolate on my skin and I'm fine with that. I agree with you on the lack of projection. Great review as usual:)
Give Charnel Extrait a bash Aaron, it's my new fave 🌟
I think the rose was overdone. It only needed a tiny bit of rose since rose is already a dense and potent as well as a great fixitive.
Would love to hear your thoughts on Chocolate Greedy by Montale if you really love chocolate fragrances.
Where i could find daddy or guapo?
About bdk gris charnel
I want to buy oud 2020 but live in germany and don‘t know anyone who sells it. And lucky for me, your shop is also closed 💀💀.
Aaron, help me Oud my friend i need to smell great :(
This just dlapped me with a very feminine(IMO) rosr that refused to fade for hours on end.
Not an unpleasent scent, i just don't see myself wearing it
Does anyone know if Aaron adds a free sample to a 10ml purchase?
Hello. Not for 10ml sizes.

@@River1411 If I recall...try "AlexandriaFragrances"...Forbidden Plum...that should get you there.
U don't know Gris charnel?? Interesting
Love this one. Smells great and has amazing performance as well. My only critique is that the tobacco is undetectable.
Their atomizers are the best! Been wanting to try Tabac Rose. Have Velvet Tonka, Gris Charnel, Pas Ce Soir, and Crème de Cuir. I thoroughly enjoy all of them
How is your bank account doing 😂
@@annazraf Not too bad….I allow myself one fragrance a month
YAAASSS, they have the very best atomizers of any house I've experienced.
@@annazraf, ha... legit question. Fragrances are an expensive hobby/obsession. 🤣
Ambre Safrano is really nice as well.
Has Aaron ever marked anything lower than a 7? I feel like the majority of his reviews are 8 or 9 marks which kind of makes scoring pointless imo.
Well, its 2023. I guess ethyl matol has finally moved on from base whipping. To face whipping no less, did NOT see that coming. #rememberEMBW .✊🏻🦄
Why don't you eat chocolate!? 😱
Hey Aaron, Please could you do a review on Diaghilev by Rosa Dove. I think it's a true masterpiece. Would love to get your thoughts on it! @AaronTerenceHughes
I love how there’s always something quite kinky about the way Aaron describes Ethyl Maltol whipping you in the face 🫦😂
