Just realized that most of their shows always goes to the moon/space. Thanks Gigguk.

This show made me realize just how underrated background artists and composite artists are. Besides Ufotable (and yes I know that most of it is CG but nevertheless) the only other studio I can think of with this level of background art is Powerhouse (the guys who made Castlevania). I wish quality background art made a return but sadly I haven't seen many examples since Disney in the 90s. Maybe only Ghibli movies or those movies directed by Makoto Shinkai like "Your Name" if I'm not mistaken.

I haven't watched anything by Studio Trigger, but this has convinced me to go go watch Edgerunners... Rise of the TMNT is probably my favorite cartoon, and I'm seeing so many elements here that the crew for Rise took into consideration for the animation.
I knew it was clearly inspired by anime, but now I know where to look.
Thank you so much for doing these breakdown videos! I've learned so much from binging your channel 😅

Man, while the shit that was thrown at the game was absolutely justified, the writing of the game's story and side stories... mwah. And when you realize that many CDPR folks were also involved with this show, it all makes sense.

Another Netflix show called arcane had phenomenal animation the way they blended 3d and 2d .
Have you see it and what do you think of its animation style.

I usually notice that Yutapon and Tatsuya Yoshihara are good at wide or large scale fights but are they at hand to hand combat

Not too familiar with Yoshihara's works but you can look up Yutapon's work on Cowboy Bebop for hand to hand combat stuff.
Also his 2 minute cut on Sword of the Stranger is one of his finest works and it's a hand to hand combat scene.

I just came back to watch this video cuz i never finished it for some reason and realized that massive you said at the end lmfaooo
"Nozumo Abe animation analysis coming soon" so that was a lie 🤣🤣
No but in all seriousness ik you've been busy and couldn't make enough time for making videos so im just happy you even gave us the video in the first place. Even though stressful, keep up the hard work. It'll pay off one day.

I wasn't 100% sure that the cars were CGI. but they just looked too consistent to not be CGI. Some good ass cgi

Luckily we are getting dungeon meshi by them! Which is just a trigger show but they didn’t write it!!!

I agree with you about trigger shows just doing the same shit over and over again. The only actual trigger show I liked before edgerunners was kill la kill. I like ttgl but I consider it a gainax show.

Why did you said that satoru utsunomiya is one of most influential animators in anime history?

    • @-MankoMan
      @-MankoMan  7 місяців тому

He "invented" the simplified yet fluid animation style that is the staple of action scenes. Also Yutapon got the idea of using cubic debris from him and takes inspiration from his style in general.
