This is what the guitar should be. 8 string baritones just sound so perfect.
What a demo should sound like, thank you.
I played one for the first time two days ago and wow it's so different and amazing guitar.
More playing than saying... Perfect Review - Thank you.
Wow great demo track
Thanks!
I wish companies would ditch the Fishman and go with an LR Baggs anthem or lyric. I hate buying instruments and immediately replacing the silly piezo systems. It's 2021, time for manufacturers to catch up with the times.
I have a Breedlove with LR Baggs electronics and a Cordoba with Fishman. The Fishman electronics are so much better and it isn't even close.
So have you even ever heard a baritone with the Anthem system?...
Totally and absolutely agree. Fishman piezo is 😑
I'm not sure the Anthem would work correctly because the mic on it is set to only pick up higher frequencies while the undersaddle gets the low frequencies. Since it's set to standard guitar it will probably funnel 80-90% frequencies to the undersaddle. I think the K&K Trinity would work though with the way it picks up the guitar sounds.
That was a nice instrumental piece - I am assuming it is an original?
How do you tune the strings and the other 2 extra strings: Standard E tuning or ??
B standard...from low to high...B E ( A an octave apart pair like a 12) (D an octave apart pair like a 12) F# B
I expected 8 single strings not something you can do with a 12 string.
I was thinking the same thing, and then realized that the big difference is the lows are lower. So the problem with the 12 string is the loss of lows, which can be compensated for by removing the octave strings on the low E and A, however there is a lot of high end still in the air. So the Baritone with two octave strings stretches the sonic palate (in theory) of what can be obtained on a 12 string. The 3rd string's high D is only a step lower than the E string on a normal guitar, but the 6th string, when tuned to B, gives more depth by a fourth lower. Not to mention that my voice just keeps getting lower and lower.
That is not an 8 String because that guitar has 6 Courses but has a Middle Third of the Strings Doubled, it is a Guild BT256dbl⅓E Not BT258e, 8 strings Add a Low B and F# and the Standard Tuning for 8 Course Guitar Is this: F#BEADGBE
It is an 8 string. It has 8 strings. Not all 8 string guitars have a low B and F#, that is just the most common variety of 8 string. With your logic, would you call a 12 string guitar a 6 string double? No, because you would be wrong.
I like you're thinking but does that mean a 12 String isn't really a 12 String?
