I also set my battery alarm warning level to 40 - 30%%, so even if I do get lost in the moment, ensuring I have enough battery for a safe return trip. Could you please give me some advice on interference? I have a dji mini 2 se and sometimes lose rc at just about a kilometer. What could be the reasons for this?
I really wish we could get a super long battery life, even if it meant increasing the weight. Though that's one of those double edged sword scenario's. Where the more you increase the weight, the more juice is required to keep the drone going. But I would genuinely love to be able to go a full 20km and come back.
Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Battery tech would have have to improve. Due to weight and diminishing returns. You reach a point where further increases in capacity aren't enough to compensate the added weight cost, safety, and charging gets increasingly difficult. And the larger the cell, that more difficult it is to deal with should things ever go south. More Energy Density with High Output is a Volatile kept in control to extremely violent when it's in control. A more realistic goal is to focus on more efficient ckts, chips, algorithm, etc.
