Music has permeated my life in ways that defied logic...IOS has me excited in finding my niche ..Not sure which direction to go, Cubasis, iMPC and Korg gadget are the three I've started with. I would like to see more of the start to finish videos! Can't always surround myself with dynamic ,gifted people such as yourself..thanks for sharing your skill set and positivity!
Great video. Very in-depth. I think people are finally realizing that making music on an iOS devices is legit. iPads are not Toys unless you use it like a toy.
TheAudioDabbler Yeah I agree. I just bought a new 10.5 iPad Pro and a RME Babyface Pro to run a bunch of hardware analog synths (and IOS synths too) I have a big Reaper system on a couple PC's with a ton of VST's .. but working simply with the iPad is a nice change that takes me back to how I worked in the 80's with my Mac SE30 and Opcode Vision.
I don't know, it's in a weird zone.. It's cool that you can now make so much.. but if you're to make so much you might as well use a proper computer and keep the ipad for simple stuff like sketching ideas. And taping a screen will always be slow and inefficient, I've seen no one being able to be good at it.
Yessss!!!! Man, that's what the people needed! We want to see you creating those hits and the workflow that keeps you motivated and creative. The knowledge you dropped at the end is very inspirational and true to anything in life. Everyone should allow God to guide them so they can be ready to receive his blessings when he feels they are ready! Keep doing what you doing my dude! One Love!
Year later it’s still a dope view. For most whose been at for a minute but have yet to do anything major with it... we can still find joy when seeing those have working the same processes the same way. I’ve been looking at Cubasis or Auria... I’ve been on BM3 since it was BM1 but starting out in a computer DAW I need closer to that than BM3. It’s like Maschine, I love it but only as a creation tool. Lastly, something old... What you did with Wildest Dreams is still MURDEROUS! Salute
Thank you fam! Yeah Wildest Dreams was a fun record to create! As afar as 2nd DAW’s on iOS I still go back to Cubasis. It has some things I still wish it had (channel grouping) but it’s a solid DAW for sure. Thanks for the support!
been going thru all your videos all today! you've inspired me to get back into my music. gonna follow the 3 C's! just bought my girl a iPad Pro so she can do her art and typography. You've definitely inspired me to invest in one for myself to make music again. gonna pick up my instruments again too. thanks for always dropping knowledge, definitely motivating people out here. Much respect bro!
First time im commenting on youtube. A. The song was hotfirepoop B. Thats a new word invented because of that song and the images at the end C. Your message that you gave to everybody about not having music die in you and not getting ahead of yourself. To trust in God. Thanks man i needed to hear that today/this week. God bless you man.
Henny the cats on the iOS Music Production community appreciate you doing these excellent videos and demonstrating that this format is not a TOY. Before I got my Air 2 in early 2015 I had an older desktop setup with M- Audio Pro Tools and an interface, couple of decent plugs & VST's. My current iOS rig with Auria Pro with Fab Filter plugins, Cubasis 2, tons of soft synths & drum apps, etc. and it's as powerful as the other setup if not more so. Plus I'm having more fun with the touch interface and the immediacy of everything (no breakdowns or driver issues!)... haven't had this much fun since the late '90's on my Tascam 488mkII 8 track machine. Thank you for spreading the word & sharing your techniques...be cool.
I started following you because of another video you posted. I just watched this one for the first time and bro! this is fire. I’ve been playing keys for years. I could play sick progressions but could not go any further than that. After watching your process and setup I know I have the inspiration to progress further. Thank you and God bless you for sharing your talent and wisdom. Die empty!
This is 2 years old but it’s still so good. Not a surprise from a man who went to the top like u did. U have it your DNA no one can take that way from u
I just discovered you at UA-cam! You are a blessed man and a blessing to all of us. You are a great musician with a positive mind and a fabulous attitude. You are also a great educator, and your mental/spiritual messages fall deeply in the souls that watch you. Keep doing what you are doing. God bless you abundantly! Thanks a lot!
Very interesting watching you work in iOS. Your process is one of subtraction which is an interesting way of looking at things. Much like a sculptor who will see the form in a block of stone, then start carving out space to reveal the form. Being a professional drummer I usually don’t think this way, but it has me really rethinking some of the ways I can play with stuff in iOS and live. Love your encouraging words at the end! Thank you for this video brother!
just getting back into creating music and wanted to thank you for putting the time into this. your channel is inspiring and educational and it's got me excited about the joy of making music again. That bass line is something else though!
I just watched this video and was inspired by what you said at its end. In 2014 I was a inspired producer and I had a few things coming up. I had taught myself Logic and had just got an imac. Then out of nowhere had a sudden stroke. I don’t drink nor smoke and I’m not obese. It was simply genetic. My wife left and I just wanted to die. So I left Florida and came to Texas to do so. I LOVE music production but unfortunately had to give up my equipment to survive. While here, I started to feel better little by little. I’m on dialysis but lately I hear music in my head like I used to. I got a little keyboard and im looking at software and I came across your videos. You really hit a nerve when you said don’t let the music die in you. I can’t tell you how much that spoke to me. May God continue to bless you in all that you do. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart homie I really needed to hear those words.
Man... thank you so much for your testimony. It’s messages like these that remind me of why I started and continue on this platform 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼. I hope you continue to rekindle the passion you have for music and that God see’s through all the way! I pray for your health and strength as well along the way! Thanks again for reaching out and don’t hesitate to hit me up again fam 🙏🏼 . Take care
Just saw your video with Jonathan Morrison! Nice!!! So glad people are starting to hear about the music production capabilities of iOS ! Thank you for what you do!
Love the video, was NOT what I expected at all. I was expecting to see you working in a Sequencer rather than Cubasis. My workflow very similar when I do things, tho often I’ll do it in Garageband even tho I have Cubasis. I’ve been using a Korg Electribe 2 lately too. Love the chain sequence commands and ability to loop a set number of times before moving to next pattern in the chain. Keep up that fantastic work man! Kwekwe the Mad Mohawk out!
Thanks Henny....I’ve been holding off on using Cubasis for a while as it seemed a bit overwhelming...now I’m ready to drop some beats! Wise words at the end too, thanks for inspiration! Best wishes all the way from the UK 👍
You off the chain Doc! My question is how do you know what effects to use when you mix or is it a certain guide? Also how do you know what sounds to use to produce a song?
I like the reference to God at the end .. after all the the Holy scripture does say "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Cor. 10:31) But how do you know when its Gods timing when it comes to vocation? (i.e. music production)
Amen 🙏🏼 .. I just truly believe God always wants you to follow your passion and trust in his process and guidance for getting you to your dreams. It’s the faith, patience and resilience that’s needed to make it to your destination 🙌🏼
Hey man! First of all, lemme just say thank you for all the videos you’ve uploaded here. They’re super helpful. My question here for sequencing is how do I record piano songs on Beatmaker3? I recorded some and deleted the bits where I made mistakes, and tried to record from thy point. But somehow the tracks retains the part I played with the mistakes I made. Like it’s layered or something. It’s supposed to be deleted but it’s like overdubbed. If I were to record something like “Greatest Love of All” on piano, without quantizing, would this give me the ability to edit he notes and measures?
Great video man. While I appreciate the video on the sequencing and that was very informative and well done what I actually needed to hear today was that last bit. Starting at around 28 minutes or so. Sometimes it's tough to wait on God's timing. Thanks for the reminder. =)
Dope video...thanks for the gems you dropped as well as that look into your creative process...didn't know about that reslicer app...omw to check it out right now
Man you got soul! Could you please make a tutorial on how to layer chords like you do? I would love to learn more about chord progressions like these and how to perform them. Greetings from Norway! Keep it coming.
I’m hoping to get a response from the man himself.... I know you’re all in on BM3 but coming from GarageBand, would there be a more familiar feel and shorter learning curve if I upgrade to Cubasis2 or BM3? I’ve heard BM3 is stingy on the native sounds and requires more in app purchases, etc... also, is one or the other better at time stretching and pitch shifting?
So, as far BM3, it’s really feature packed, but it does require a lot more in app purchases or uses of other AUV3 plugins to take full advantage. It’s a powerful app and once you get the hang of it, you’ll see you won’t need many other DAW’s 👌🏼
Henny Tha Bizness thanks for the response! You know, after seeing Jonathan Morrison’s second video showing you teaching a Grammy winning producer to do his thing in BM3 I was sold! I just took the plunge! I got the free sound packs and a few paid ones to start with. I am the most excited I’ve been since my first iPad! Thank you man!
Insightful informations, thanks for this brother. I wanted to ask if it's better to eq the beat before adding the effects or the otherwise it's better?
can you list all the apps involved in this video please?I'm begging you real rap and also what midi controller that is and does it have note repeat and tap tempo?

Henny Tha Bizness Thanks my brotha...for the tech advice, the thorough vids and the moments that you offer up life philosophy. Keep up the light and greatness!
Thank you for your content. Appreciation. I do just want to say something if you read this... my ears would like to hear a mix that had some qualities that your camera audio was pulling. That funky synth actually sounded more interesting to me in video audio. Something about it was just better. Put it in like that and tweak some sh$$. Just my 2 cents. I wish I could play those licks like you. Again thank you for teaching. Listening on m50x
My boyfriend watched your channel yesterday like he was watching a Henny marathon. When your track at the end of this video played, it got my undivided attention! I went on a hunt for this track. Please post it soon. Thank you
Thanks so much for this and the gems you dropped at the end. Been stuck on basic loops for months not knowing how to sequence. This is indeed a jewel.
28:20 onwards... too true man. Aside from your skill and creativity, that mindset and those words are what made this video. Thanks!
+Gianni Selvaggi truly appreciate it!!

And you need to do another as IOS 12 and an update to Cubasis dropped today. The Roli Seaboard stuff alone is mind blowing!
This so inspiring and amazing how you've adapted to mobile and iOS I love this video. Along with all the others.
Thanks
Definitely mind opening! Appreciate you sharing this process, it inspires many!

Outstanding tutorial Henny !!! That beat was dope !
Man you got soul! Could you please make a tutorial on how to layer chords like you do? I would love to learn more about chord progressions like these and how to perform them. Greetings from Norway! Keep it coming.
I love what you're doing man! Keep it up!
Amazing your Cubasis didn't cut off 1st note when recording looped back around.
You not only know your stuff your videos are entertaining and informative. I’m liking, sharing and subscribing!! Thx
That's some solid life advice at the end, man. Thank you.
Great video, great advice. Keep on keeping on bro.
+mistaish Will Do!
Excellent work, Sir! Thank you so much for sharing your great wisdom and knowledge!

Hello just curious if you worked your snare if yes what did you do thanks .
I wish this was on epidemic sound. I listened to this over and over several months ago and I'm back for this snippet again. So addicting ....
Damn I gotta the watch the video just to remember what beat that was 🤦🏽♂️
@@HennyThaBizness No problem. My boyfriend and I was listening to it most of the evening. But I had to manually loop it. Lol
Great Video my man... Genius level talent you have. Thanks for putting it out there...
Hi. Like it. What about a master channel ? And put some effx on it. And autotune?
Insightful informations, thanks for this brother. I wanted to ask if it's better to eq the beat before adding the effects or the otherwise it's better?
Hey whats good, say what are you using as a midi controller with your ipad?
Help me. Auria Pro, Cubasis or BeatMaker 3 ? For music production...
I notice u don’t have a interface or anything plugged in. When making beats is a interface really not needed since it’s midi until the export stage?
can you list all the apps involved in this video please?I'm begging you real rap and also what midi controller that is and does it have note repeat and tap tempo?
Bro, I realize that this video was made a few years ago. but how do you compare Reslice with Samplist?
Henny, do you still use an interface even though you’re mainly on iOS? With your speakers or anything?
I’ve seen some channels hook their iPad up to an interface and not for just vocals but it seems like it may be for something in particular for that setup.
Pleasure to watch and listen to you work.
I use these apps, but still
I learned so much from your work flow,
how you organized your work, and your arrangement.
You inspired me on many levels!
Thank you!
Thank you for the support
Does audiobus also record midi data that you could export if you choose?
Thankyou man! You helping allot. Gonna buy the ipad tomorrow 🔥 cubasis all the way😛
Your keyboard doesn´t have a pitch-wheel, so how did you manage to move it?
Why not record straight into Cubasis?
What a talent, what a message, what a video! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for those words 🙏🏼
Has your process changed with Cubasis 3?
Do you think blocks slicer will take the place of slicer?
What piano scale did you use on this?
Dope reslicer app hey can you record it into your DAW and how would you do it..thx
Since BeatMaker 3 came out I haven’t used this app too much anymore. BeatMaker can easily slice samples no problem 👌🏼
Henny Tha Bizness ok that’s wasup...I have beat maker 3 but maybe I haven’t studied it much ima chk it thx
How do you make stems for Cubasis 3
Love your videos man! Thanks for sharing.
Great vid hen much respect for u bro for real
Thank you bro! I appreciate it
Brilliant video, just what I needed thank you 👏👏👏
So happy I came across your channel.
+P Kaos 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Great message at the end. Thank you for that.
Great video. Have you tried looptical?
What midi controller is that ?
+Jermaine Blalock XKey Air! Link in my description
Is that sound coming from the iPad?
Amazing brother, thank you for the inspiration and knowledge
it must b Christmas cause that's a hell of a gift!!!
HTB!! Can the 2018 iPad get the job done? Or is the iPadPro necessary?
I believe so! You might not be able to run as many plugins as an iPad Pro but you can def get the job done!
Henny Tha Bizness Thanks my brotha...for the tech advice, the thorough vids and the moments that you offer up life philosophy. Keep up the light and greatness!
You're Video is like that Bob Ross Shit. Most of the time i have no clue what you're doing, but in the end this shit is dope af...
That sounds dope fam thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking it out 💪🏼

This video was so inspiring thank you.
Right on ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
That bassline is fire. :O
Nothing but fire! Thank you for sharing.
That beat...SICK!
That's whats up Henny!
Is this track available anywhere to groove out to? I clicked on your soundcloud link and it only had 1 track available?
I need to put some of these tracks out. Just haven’t done it yet 🙏🏼
My boyfriend watched your channel yesterday like he was watching a Henny marathon. When your track at the end of this video played, it got my undivided attention! I went on a hunt for this track. Please post it soon. Thank you
Very well done greatly appreciate it i’m inspired......
Could you rename the audio tracks?
+William Creel I believe so, I just get lazy at times with a ton of audio files and focus more on the color 🤦🏽♂️
the process was a little overwhelming.......but the resolution was beautiful !....Tankz...
